D'Angelo Russell (shin) out on Thursday.
D’Angelo Russell (shin) out on Thursday. This shifts Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards into stronger plays, as they usage rates shoot up. Edwards is especially interesting in GPPs given his recent poor form likely to keep his ownership in check.
As reported by: Dane MooreJosh Jackson (back) out Thursday.
Josh Jackson (back) out Thursday. There’s not too much DFS impact here.
As reported by: Rod BeardCade Cunningham (hip) out Thursday.
Cade Cunningham (hip) out Thursday. This will open up some more usage for Jerami Grant, who is especially cheap on DraftKings, while likely giving someone like Killian Hayes or Cory Joseph a spot start.
As reported by: Omari SankofaSpurs expected to start Jones, Johnson, White, Vassell and Thad Young on Thursday per Coach Popovich.
Spurs expected to start Jones, Johnson, White, Vassell and Thad Young on Thursday per Coach Popovich. This is not expected as Drew Eubanks was expected to start per our team, but now this puts Thaddeus Young on the radar as a punt play assuming he gets starter minutes, and Eubanks more as a GPP dart throw assuming he just plays backup center minutes to Young.
As reported by: Paul GarciaMarvin Bagley (ankle) out on Thursday; De'Aaron Fox (ankle) questionable.
Marvin Bagley (ankle) out on Thursday; De’Aaron Fox (ankle) questionable. This is as expected and how our projections team setup projections to start the day. With Bagley out we should see plenty of Chimezie Metu and Mo Harkless. If Fox can’t go, Tyrese Haliburton will continue to run the offense with Davion Mitchell likely to continue starting.
As reported by: NBA Injury Report Other tagged players: De'Aaron FoxDejounte Murray (wrist) and Doug McDermott (ankle) out on Thursday.
Dejounte Murray (wrist) and Doug McDermott (ankle) out on Thursday. With Murray out, Derrick White will take on more of the offense with Tre Jones a candidate to spot start. As for McDermott, we likely see Devin Vassell draw a spot start and hold plenty of punt appeal. The Spurs remain short-handed and will rely on Lonnie Walker to lead the second unit offense, giving him punt appeal as well.
As reported by: NBA Injury Report Other tagged players: Doug McDermottLeBron James (knee) doubtful on Thursday; Anthony Davis (wrist) and Malik Monk (groin) are probable.
LeBron James (knee) doubtful on Thursday; Anthony Davis (wrist) and Malik Monk (groin) are probable. This is as expected as LeBron continues to miss time and Davis continues to play through his wrist injury. With James off the court this season, Davis has averaged 1.3 fantasy points per minute and will remain a fine option on tonight’s slate, especially on FanDuel where he’s just $9,600 and carries PF/C dual-eligibility.
As reported by: Harrison FaigenOtto Porter (back) out on Thursday.
Otto Porter (back) out on Thursday. With Porter out, the Warriors could go a variety of ways. Moses Moody has been starting lately and compliments the Stephen Curry / Klay Thompson starting lineup where he doesn’t demand usage. The Warriors could also start Damion Lee or Juan Toscano-Anderson, depending on whether they want more scoring or defense in the starting unit.
As reported by: NBA Injury ReportZach LaVine (back) now questionable on Thursday.
Zach LaVine (back) now questionable on Thursday. If LaVine can’t go, we’ve seen DeMar DeRozan’s usage rate shoot up to 37.9% this season when both LaVine and Lonzo Ball have been off the court and he averages 1.33 fantasy points per minute. Nikola Vucevic also gets a +2.2% usage bump and averages 1.24 fantasy points per minute. It’s unclear who would draw the spot start for LaVine, but his absence would make DeRozan and Vucevic much more appealing options.

Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs game on Thursday will now start at 7:00 pm ET due to pending inclement weather. There’s no impact from a DFS perspective but just make sure to adjust lineups and monitor the news in case anything else changes.
As reported by: Marc SpearsLou Williams (back) out Thursday.
Lou Williams (back) out Thursday. With Trae Young questionable still, Delon Wright could be forced to take on a larger role in the second unit assuming Young is good to go. If Young is also out, Wright likely starts and we see Bogdan Bogdanovic lead the second unit. Skylar Mays could also rejoin the rotation.
As reported by: Brad RowlandJimmy Butler (toe), Kyle Lowry (personal) and P.J. Tucker (knee) plan to play on Thursday; Caleb Martin (Achilles) out.
Jimmy Butler (toe), Kyle Lowry (personal) and P.J. Tucker (knee) plan to play on Thursday; Caleb Martin (Achilles) out. The big news here is Kyle Lowry is expected back after missing the last nine games due to personal reasons. Assuming he’s a full go and back in the starting lineup, Gabe Vincent should shift back to the bench. Lowry is interesting on FanDuel at just $6,200 but I’d want to see what limitations he may have after missing so much time. With Jimmy Butler and P.J. Tucker also good to go, the Heat are getting heathier. The loss of Martin is a solid one for the second unit, but Tyler Herro should continue to lead that squad.
As reported by: Barry Jackson Other tagged players: Kyle Lowry, P.J. Tucker, Caleb MartinDe'Aaron Fox (ankle) ruled out Wednesday
Despite continuing to be listed on the Kings’ injury report as questionable, Fox will miss a sixth consecutive game due to a sore left ankle. In his absence, Davion Mitchell will start alongside Tyrese Haliburton in the backcourt, while Maurice Harkless will start in place of Marvin Bagley for the second straight contest, but he was limited to just 21 minutes of action in his first spot start in Monday’s loss.
As reported by: Sean Cunningham via TwitterJordan Clarkson (knee) ruled out Wednesday; Trent Forrest (ankle) available to play
Clarkson will join a host of Jazz regular rotation players on the inactive list for Wednesday’s matchup against the Denver Nuggets due to a sore right knee. With Clarkson, Donovan Mitchell, and Joe Ingles all unavailable, Trent Forrest figures to join the starting lineup alongside Mike Conley in the backcourt and should have a sizeable minute floor if head coach Quin Snyder doesn’t opt to spread out the vacated wing minutes to other fringe rotation players like Elijiah Hughes this evening.
As reported by: Eric Walden via Twitter Other tagged players: Trent ForrestJeremiah Robinson-Earl (foot) ruled out Wednesday
Robinson-Earl is a late scratch from the Thunder’s starting lineup due to a sprained right foot. In his absence, Mamadi Diakite will receive the starting nod at center, but he’s yet to record more than 18 minutes in any game as a member of Oklahoma City this season, and as long as head coach Mark Daigneault continues to utilize Derrick Favors and Mike Muscala as part of the center rotation, Diakite or any other starter at the five spot will have limited upside for large-field tournament formats across the daily fantasy industry.
