Reggie Bullock

Houston Rockets
1/19/22, 1:33 PM ET

Reggie Bullock (knee) and Maxi Kleber (knee) upgraded to probable on Wednesday.

Reggie Bullock (knee) and Maxi Kleber (knee) have both been upgraded to probable on Wednesday. Both came into the day as questionable and have already been in the RotoGrinders projections, so there’s no change from a projections standpoint for these two. Kleber is still projected to start but with Kristaps Porzingis back, Luka Doncic healthy and Jalen Brunson now starting, Kleber’s floor and ceiling are much lower now.

Marcus Smart

Houston Rockets
1/19/22, 1:23 PM ET

Marcus Smart (conditioning) and Aaron Nesmith (ankle) out Wednesday.

Marcus Smart (conditioning) and Aaron Nesmith (ankle) are out Wednesday against the Hornets. This will leave the Celtics shorter on guard depth and should force Dennis Schroder back into the starting lineup. Nesmith hasn’t been a key rotation piece this season so his absence isn’t too impactful. The Celtics have a healthy 111.75 implied team total but it’s harder to target them for DFS purposes when all of Tatum/Brown/Horford/Williams/Schroder are all healthy.

Onyeka Okongwu

Atlanta Hawks
1/19/22, 12:36 PM ET

Onyeka Okongwu will start again on Wednesday.

Onyeka Okongwu will start again on Wednesday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves, per Coach McMillan, as Clint Capela remains out. With Clint Capela out last game against the Bucks, Okongwu drew the start and played 36 minutes while Gorgui Dieng was a DNP-CD. This is significant considering Dieng had started the previous two games but had only played 13 and 15 minutes in those starts. The individual matchup for Okongwu tonight against Karl-Anthony Towns isn’t an ideal one but there’s some GPP appeal here if he sees 30+ minutes again tonight.

Tyus Jones

Denver Nuggets
1/19/22, 12:21 PM ET

Tyus Jones (health protocols) out on Wednesday.

Tyus Jones (health protocols) is out on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Grizzlies were already without Kyle Anderson, Desmond Bane, Dillon Brooks and Killian Tillie, and the absence of Jones leaves them even thinner on depth. De’Anthony Melton may be forced into some backup point guard duties, and that could have a trickle down effect where John Konchar then sees a slight uptick in minutes at the shooting guard spot. Melton was already projecting for 40%+ ownership on both DraftKings and FanDuel given his price tag and that number may start to creep even higher now.

Kemba Walker

Dallas Mavericks
1/18/22, 7:53 PM ET

Kemba Walker (knee) will start on Tuesday.

Kemba Walker (knee) will start on Tuesday. It’s a surprise given he’s missed the last 10 games but he was said to have gone through pregame warmups so it sounds like he’s good to go. We’re still awaiting starting lineups but I’m assuming Alec Burks is moving back to the bench, which hurts the DFS value of Burks and Immanuel Quickley, who no longer gets all the second unit usage.

Kemba Walker

Dallas Mavericks

Kemba Walker (knee) will warm up and be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

It’s being reported that Kemba Walker (knee) will warm up and be a game-time decision on Tuesday. It’s still unclear whether this is enough for Walker to be cleared and play tonight against the Timberwolves, but considering this is the first game of this short two-game main slate, we should have clarity before lock. His return would impact Alec Burks and potentially shift someone like Miles McBride out of the rotation.

Andre Iguodala

Golden State Warriors
1/18/22, 3:37 PM ET

Andre Iguodala (hip) questionable; Moses Moody (knee) available and Gary Payton II (back) probable on Tuesday.

Andre Iguodala (hip) questionable; Moses Moody (knee) available and Gary Payton II (back) now probable on Tuesday. The Warriors recalled Moses Moody this morning and are now listing Gary Payton II as probable. The mid-day downgrade for Adre Iguodala is a concern, which could be why Moody was recalled. If Iguodala is out, the Warriors could be forced to lean more on Jonathan Kuminga and Jordan Poole in the second unit.

UPDATE: Kemba Walker (knee) officially listed as questionable but trending closer to doubtful.

UPDATE: Kemba Walker (knee) officially listed as questionable but trending closer to doubtful. While Walker has been upgraded to questionable on the latest NBA injury report, quotes from Coach Thibs suggest he’s trending closer to doubtful and hasn’t taken full contact lately. As such, our projections team has decided to withhold him from projections and treat him closer to not playing. Should things change throughout the day, we’ll update projections and send an alert on Walker’s status.

Kemba Walker (knee) questionable; Cam Reddish (ankle) and Nerlens Noel (knee) out on Tuesday.

Kemba Walker (knee) is questionable while Cam Reddish (ankle) and Nerlens Noel (knee) are out on Tuesday against the Timberwolves. This isn’t all too surprising and Walker continues to hold a questionable tag but the projections team is considering him closer to doubtful as quotes from Coach Thibs suggest Walker isn’t ready for a return yet.

LeBron James

Philadelphia 76ers
1/17/22, 11:10 PM ET

LeBron James (abdominal) and Dwight Howard (knee) will start Monday

LeBron James (abdominal) and Dwight Howard (knee) will be available and start Monday against the Utah Jazz. As expected, after being listed as probable on the injury report both Lebron and Howard will start and should see their normal allotment of minutes. LeBron James can be considered in DFS contests as he has the potential to break any slate that he plays on and Dwight Howard can be considered as well with the recent return to the starting lineup and minutes bump he has enjoyed.

Elijah Hughes

Milwaukee Bucks
1/17/22, 10:25 PM ET

Elijah Hughes (conditioning) available to play Monday

Elijah Hughes (conditioning) available to play Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Hughes has only appeared in 10 games thus far this season so his availability will have little to no DFS impact. He will be available to help round out the Jazz rotation.

Carmelo Anthony

Los Angeles Lakers
1/17/22, 10:03 PM ET

Carmelo Anthony (back) ruled out Monday

Carmelo Anthony (back) ruled out for Monday’s game against the Utah Jazz. With Anthony missing his second straight game, Trevor Ariza and Austin Reaves will likely pick up some of his minutes with Wayne Ellington likely to remain in the rotation. Ultimately, from a DFS standpoint there are no real winners here as Anthony’s minutes will be spread out to players that don’t score well from an FPM perspective.

Lineup Update: Spurs will start Murray, White, Johnson, McDermott, Poeltl on Monday

1/17/22, 9:38 PM ET

After stating that he planned on keeping Derrick White with the second unit until Tre Jones returned HC Gregg Popovich changed his mind as the game locked for DFS players. White returns to the starting lineup and should see a slight bump in minutes with Devin Vassell sent back to the bench.
