Magic will start Anthony, Suggs, Harris, Franz Wagner and Bamba on Wednesday. Jalen Suggs being reinserted into the starting lineup is a curveball as it was expected Suggs would continue to play off the bench, but with Wendell Carter Jr. out the Magic will instead push Franz Wagner to the power forward spot instead of starting Chuma Okeke. This season, Suggs has averaged 27.6 minutes per game, but is coming off a 21-minute performance so it’ll be interesting to see if the Magic continue to be cautious with Suggs or ramp him up closer to his season average as a starter.

Robert Williams (personal) has been ruled out on Wednesday. The Celtics are also without Marcus Smart and Aaron Nesmith, so they will be down two bodies. Last game, Grant Williams drew the start with Al Horford shifting over to the center position. CourtIQ shows that when Williams and Smart have been off the court this season, all of Josh Richardson, Dennis Schroder and Jaylen Brown see +2% usage bumps. Interestingly, Al Horford doesn’t see a usage bump but considering the matchup against Jusuf Nurkic on the other side, it’s possible they give him more playing time. Note that Horford didn’t touch the court in the 4th quarter last game as the Celtics went with Enes Kanter, so the Celtics have some options here to replace Williams’ minutes.

Wendell Carter Jr. (hamstring) has been ruled out on Wednesday. This should allow Chuma Okeke to continue to start while it could keep Moritz Wagner in the rotation. The Magic are going to have to rely on the duo of Robin Lopez and Mo Bamba to try and slow down Joel Embiid. Also keep in mind the Magic have an implied team total of just 101 points, second lowest on this slate.

DeAndre’ Bembry (back spasms) has been ruled out on Wednesday against the Wizards. Bembry’s minutes should get dispersed among the second unit players like Bruce Brown and Cameron Thomas. Overall there’s not much of a DFS impact here.

Bryn Forbes will not make his Nuggets debut on Wednesday. Per Harrison Wind, Forbes will most likely debut on Friday against the Grizzlies. Forbes wasn’t in projections so there’s no impact to Denver’s projections.

Tre Jones (health protocols) is now available on Wednesday after being listed out previously. Jones’ return will help bolster a Spurs bench that just traded away Bryn Forbes. There’s not much DFS impact here but it does add another body to the Spurs’ second unit.

Derrick Favors (back) is listed as out on Wednesday. With Favors out, that should mean more minutes for Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Mike Muscala. From a DFS perspective, this shouldn’t impact us too much as Favors has only averaged 16 minutes per game this season and the Thunder tend to spread out their minutes.

Killian Hayes (hip) has been listed as doubtful and Frank Jackson (conditioning) listed out on the latest injury report, while Kelly Olynyk (knee) is now probable on Wednesday. Olynyk’s return should hurt Trey Lyles the most, as Lyles has been thriving as the backup center. It’s possible we see Olynyk on a minutes restriction so it’s something we’ll need to monitor. With Hayes doubtful and Jackson out, Cory Joseph, Cade Cunningham and Saben Lee should all see increased responsibilities on offense tonight.

Alex Caruso (conditioning) and Tyler Cook (ankle) are available on Wednesday against the Cavs. Cook’s availability isn’t major as he hasn’t been in the rotation much this season but Caruso’s return will help fill the void left by Zach LaVine. Caruso should take minutes away from Troy Brown Jr. and Alfonzo McKinnie, making them no longer DFS relevant. We’re putting Caruso at 29 minutes in our initial projections so we’re expecting him to be somewhat slowly brought along given his prolonged absence.

Tyler Herro (health protocols) has been ruled out on Wednesday. With the Heat already without Kyle Lowry, this is big news for the Heat to lose their star sixth man. Per CourtIQ when both Lowry and Herro have been off the court this season, all of Max Strus, Omer Yurtseven and Caleb Martin have seen +4%-5% usage bumps. Strus and Martin likely see expanded roles in the second unit now with Herro out. The winner here may be Jimmy Butler, who averages a team-high 1.5 fantasy points per minute with both Lowry/Herro out and could be asked to facilitate the offense even more.

Rudy Gay (heel) has been ruled out Wednesday. With the Jazz already down Donovan Mitchell, this makes the Jazz even thinner on depth. Per CourtIQ when both Mitchell and Gay have been off the court this season, Jordan Clarkson leads the team with a 33.7% usage rate and averages 1.07 fantasy points per minute. Clarkson should be the focal point of the second unit now with Gay out.

Norman Powell (personal) is out on Wednesday, while Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle) and CJ Elleby (ankle) have been upgraded to probable against the Heat. Powell was not in projections as we already accounted for his potential absence, while Elleby and Smith Jr. were already in projections. With C.J. McCollum back and the backcourt getting crowded, this news mostly impacts Nassir Little as Powell’s absence should let Little continue to soak up minutes.

Nicolas Batum (health protocols) has been ruled out Wednesday against the Nuggets. Terance Mann is likely to rejoin the starting lineup after shifting to bench when Batum returned. Mann’s floor becomes more stable if he does start as he’s averaged 33.6 minutes per game as a starter this season.
