Derrick White (protocols) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Drew Eubanks will be available. With White ruled out, Lonnie Walker could once again draw the start for the Spurs with Keita Bates-Diop, Bryn Forbes, and Josh Primo playing increased minutes off the bench increasing their value. Eubanks will be available but is not expected to play a major role for the Spurs tonight.

Marcus Smart (health protocols) ruled out Friday
Marcus Smart (health protocols) has been ruled out for Friday’s contest against the Philadelphia 76ers. With Smart out, Dennis Schroder should remain in the starting lineup and will likely play minutes in the low to mid 30s increasing his value. Payton Pritchard should see the bulk of the point guard minutes off the bench with Brodric Thomas also available, but neither is expected to see enough time to be considered in DFS contests.

Patrick Beverley will not be on a minute restriction for Thursday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies after playing just 21 minutes last game. With the Timberwolves down Jaylen Nowell and Leandro Bolmaro, the Timberwolves could use more Beverley and Malik Beasley tonight. On the season, Beverley has averaged 26.5 minutes per game and has been in good form. He makes for a very interesting GPP option with so much of the guard ownership flowing towards Dennis Smith Jr., James Harden and Ben McLemore.

Last game when Draymond Green sat, the Warriors went bigger by starting Juan Toscano-Anderson but Toscano-Anderson played just seven minutes and didn’t touch the court in the second half. This move means the Warriors plan to go small against Giannis and the Bucks, as Andrew Wiggins will be the default power forward in this starting lineup.

This is somewhat significant since Vlatko Cancar remains out and it was announced this morning that the deal with DeMarcus Cousins is unlikely to be completed today. This could leave more minutes for Zeke Nnaji and Jeff Green. Green has been a solid rotation piece this season but has only averaged 14.9 minutes per game, so the bench unit should absorb his minutes should he not suit up.

This boosts the floor and ceiling for both of them, as Nowell has been a solid rotation piece in the second unit this season.

DeMarcus Cousins is unlikely to make his debut on Thursday for the Denver Nuggets, per beat writer Mike Singer. This should allow backup bigs like JaMychal Green, Zeke Nnaji and Jeff Green to see a few more extra minutes. Overall, this shouldn’t have much of an impact to the slate as Cousins was only in our initial projections for sparse minutes, so he wasn’t expected to be a big rotation piece.
