Gary Trent Jr. (ankle) ruled out Sunday

Trent Jr. won’t play on Sunday against New Orleans, which will lead to the Raptors starting Khem Birch and going with a bigger lineup. Birch is still a fringe DFS option, but towards the minimum he becomes more interesting as a starter. Birch nor any of the other “centers” eat up the sort of shot attempts that Trent Jr. does, so this news does slightly benefit the other four starters.

Garrison Mathews available to play Sunday

Mathews is available to play Sunday against Washington. He’ll have a little revenge narrative going for him, but with the Rockets now healthier on the wing, he’s reverted back to a bench role. He isn’t a recommended DFS target unless one of the Rockets starting wings were to be ruled out.

Davis Bertans

Davis Bertans, Rui Hachimura available to play Sunday

The Wizards will get some depth back at the forward spot with both Bertans and Hachimura in action on Sunday. Hachimura is expected to be limited to around 15 minutes, and his return likely doesn’t impact Kyle Kuzma all that much in this spot but should lead to guys like Isaiah Todd and Greg Monroe potentially being removed from the back of the rotation. Corey Kispert, Deni Avdija and Aaron Holiday could all suffer a little as well.

Status Update: Evan Fournier (thigh) will go through pre-game warmups, still a game-time decision Saturday. We’ll continue to update his status as we get closer to tip. Nerlens Noel has been ruled out, so Mitchell Robinson and Taj Gibson will continue to soak up the center minutes.

Franz Wagner available to play Saturday; Cole Anthony and Wendell Carter Jr. still GTDs

Franz Wagner is available to play Saturday, but Cole Anthony and Wendell Carter Jr. remain game-time decisions. If Anthony can’t go, Wagner becomes more appealing, as does Gary Harris given how much production Anthony leaves behind. If Wendell Carter Jr. can’t go, Mo Bamba and Chuma Okeke would both become more intriguing targets. We’ll continue to update on the status’ of Anthony and Carter Jr.
