Tristan Thompson (quad) ruled out Monday; Maurice Harkless (ankle) available to play
Thompson was never listed on the Kings’ injury report, but he won’t be available for Monday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a quad injury. The Kings are already without Richaun Holmes and Damian Jones, leaving Alex Len as the only true center on the active roster with any NBA experience. However, if interim head coach Alvin Gentry doesn’t opt to go smaller in the frontcourt with Marvin Bagley or Chimezie Metu at the five-spot, it’s within the realm of possibility that rookie Neemias Queta sees his first extensive run of the season in tonight’s contest.

Jock Landale (back) ruled out Monday; Joshua Primo (quad) available to play
Landale has been serving as the Spurs primary backup center of late, so his absence from Monday’s matchup against the New York Knicks shouldn’t have too much of an impact on the rest of the rotation. However, it could lead to a higher minute ceiling for Jakob Poeltl if head coach Gregg Popovich doesn’t turn to Drew Eubanks or Devontae Cacok to step directly into Landale’s vacated minute allotment this evening.

Curry was a midday addition to the Sixers’ injury report, so his absence from Monday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets due to a sprained ankle comes as no surprise. The Sixers were already dreadfully thin at the guard positions prior to news of Curry’s unavailability, so head coach Doc Rivers is likely to be forced to turn to a committee approach at the point guard position with Furkan Korkmaz getting the starting nod as the primary initiator to begin the game. Others that could help fill this void include, Isaiah Joe, Myles Powell, and Charlie Brown Jr., though it would take a bismal performance from Korkmaz for any of them to see enough playing time to become relevant for daily fantasy tournaments acrosss the industry this evening.

Despite being confirmed in the Warriors’ starting lineup twice, Green will join the team on the floor for the opening tip-off but will sit the remainder of Sunday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers after tweaking his calf during pregame warmups. With the pre-game festivities to celebrate Klay Thompson’s long-awaited return to the court, there has yet to be any announcement on who will replace Green in the starting lineup in the opening minutes of the game this evening.

JTA will be available Sunday for a home matchup with the Cavs. Klay Thompson’s return is the clear focus in this one and it’s not totally clear how his return will impact some of the depth wings/guards, but it’s possible JTA gets some action against a Cavs team that generally plays big. It’s also possible that with the Warriors now fairly healthy, he could be on the outside looking in at a rotation spot.
Patrick Beverley (groin) listed out Sunday
Patrick Beverley (groin) listed out Sunday. The Wolves will once again start D’Angelo Russell at the point with Jaden McDaniels joining the lineup with Beverley on the shelf. Russell’s assist rate comes up in this spot and McDaniels steps onto the radar with a continued bump in playing time. Malik Beasley and Jaylen Nowell should also stand to benefit a bit in terms of playing time.
Luka Doncic, Dorian Finney-Smith both available to play Sunday
Both Doncic and Finney-Smith will both be available to play Sunday, and neither are expected to be on minute restrictions. With Kristaps Porzingis still out, Luka is one of the top overall plays on the board and could be a little overlooked given that his status was in doubt for most of the day. Finney-Smith also benefits mildly with Porzingis off the floor.

Beverley isn’t expected to go Sunday against Houston, which would likely lead to another start for Jaden McDaniels assuming the Wolves want to stay bigger. D’Angelo Russell benefits, but the assist rate also rises a bit for Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. We’ll continue to update on Beverley’s status but we’re running under the assumption he sits at this point.
Norman Powell enters health and safety protocols, won't play Sunday
Powell has entered the league’s health and safety protocols and won’t play against Sacramento on Sunday. His absence leaves a lot on the table – this benefits Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little, Ben McLemore and Jusuf Nurkic in a notable way, as Powell not only leaves a lot of playing time on the table, but a considerable amount of usage as well. Dennis Smith Jr. is another candidate to become more involved and would set up as a solid per-minute producer with the Blazers extremely shorthanded. Nassir Little has been relatively unproductive as a scorer over his last few games, but has been more involved and should be counted on even more heavily here.
