Donovan Mitchell

Cleveland Cavaliers
1/08/22, 6:49 PM ET

Donovan Mitchell, Royce O'Neale, Rudy Gay, Bojan Bogdanovic all available to play Saturday

The Jazz will get their regulars back in Indiana and should essentially be back to a regular lineup outside of the center position. With Rudy Gobert still out, Hassan Whiteside figures to stick as the starting center with Eric Paschall likely to remain in the rotation and potentially see time when the Jazz go smaller. Whiteside is still on the DFS radar on sites that have been slow to adjust his price. Clarkson, Mitchell and Conley are all a little more appealing with Joe Ingles still on the shelf.

Malcolm Brogdon

Malcolm Brogdon ruled out Saturday; Chris Duarte, Jeremy Lamb available to play

Malcolm Brogdon won’t make his return to the Pacers lineup on Saturday, but Indiana will get Chris Duarte and Jeremy Lamb back. Keifer Sykes may continue to stick as a starter with Brogdon and LeVert out, but Duane Washington figures to revert back to his bench role. The Jazz appear to be getting their roster back after a shorthanded game in Toronto, so this one won’t be easy but the Pacers regulars – namely Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner – have high ceilings if this one can stay competitive, as bookmakers think it will (Utah sits as 5 point favorites).

Ja Morant

Portland Trail Blazers
1/08/22, 3:55 PM ET

Ja Morant (thigh), Kyle Anderson (back), and Xavier Tillman Jr. (protocols) listed out Saturday; Desmond Bane (quad) listed available

The Grizzlies were already expected to be without Morant and Anderson, but they’ll also now be missing Tillman, who was likely to take over the starting center position in Saturday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers since Steven Adams is still the NBA’s health and safety protocols. With Dillon Brooks clearing protocols and slated to make his return in today’s contest, head coach Taylor Jenkins will only have to worry about replacing two starters, however it’s still unknown if Brooks will be subject to a minute restriction in his first game back. As for the center spot, Killian Tillie is the top candidate to start alongside Jaren Jackson Jr., though Santi Aldama figures to be firmly in the mix in the frontcourt rotation as well.

Ivica Zubac

Indiana Pacers
1/08/22, 4:04 PM ET

Ivica Zubac (conditioning) will play Saturday

After clearing the NBA’s health and safety protocols, Zubac has been deemed fit enough to play in Saturday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, and he should regain the starting center job from Serge Ibaka in today’s contest, regardless of if he’s subject to a minute restriction or not. It’ll be interesting to see how the center rotation shakes itself out in the coming games since this will be the first time in quite a while that Zubac, Ibaka, Marcus Morris, and Nicolas Batum are all healthy and available at the same time, but for today, Zubac is nothing more than a tournament option for the single-game daily fantasy contests across the industry this afternoon.

Isaiah Joe

Detroit Pistons
1/07/22, 6:32 PM ET

Isaiah Joe (back) ruled out Friday; Danny Green (calf) available to play

With Joe now downgraded from questionable to out, the Sixers have become extremely thin at the guard positions for Friday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, which could lead to the first extensive minutes of Myles Powell’s tenure in Philadelphia after signing a two-way contract with the team last month. On the other Green has been deemed healthy enough to play with a minute restriction, and the Matisse Thybulle is set to make his return following a stint in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, so the Sixers will at least have their regular depth pieces at the positions other than guard in tonight’s contest

Nerlens Noel

Sacramento Kings
1/06/22, 8:00 PM ET

Nerlens Noel (conditioning) ruled out Thursday

Noel will miss yet another game as he works his way back into game shape following an ankle injury and a stint in the NBA’s health and safety protocols. In his absence, Taj Gibson should receive another start at the center position, but even as a starter, he was in a timeshare with Mitchell Robinson, who ended up closing the game and accruing more total minutes than Gibson in his bench role. As always, the Knicks center rotation is one of the most volatile situations to project on a game-to-game basis, so Robinson and Gibson should be considered nothing more than longshot tournament targets across the daily fantasy industry this evening.
