Frank Jackson

Utah Jazz
5/11/21, 7:03 PM ET

Frank Jackson (ankle) officially ruled out Tuesday

Frank Jackson has officially been ruled out Tuesday for when the Pistons take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Pistons will have nine available players without Frank Jackson and will be extremely thin at guard. Killian Hayes and Josh Jackson will start and be backed up by Saben Lee and Deividas Sirvydis as the only other true guards available for Detroit. Killian Hayes, Josh Jackson, and Saben Lee should all be considered due to the amount of playing time they are expected to see and can be played at different price points on DK, Killian Hayes and Josh Jackson being mid range options and Saben Lee being a value option.

Joel Embiid

Philadelphia 76ers
5/11/21, 6:39 PM ET

Joel Embiid (illness) ruled out Tuesday

Joel Embiid will not be available Tuesday when the 76ers take on the Indiana Pacers. The center minutes will likely be split between Dwight Howard and Mike Scott with Howard most likely starting. When looking at CourtIQ with Embiid off the floor the big winners are Tobias Harris (4.2% usage rate increase, .13 FPM increase) and Ben Simmons (3.3% and .01) while Shake Milton, George Hill, and Tyrese Maxey all see boosts as well. Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons are much better plays from a production standpoint without Embiid while Howard and Scott see a large increase in minutes and will offer some value.

Maxi Kleber

Los Angeles Lakers
5/11/21, 6:58 PM ET

Maxi Kleber (Achilles) available to play Tuesday

Maxi Kleber will be available to play Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies after missing the last four games due to injury. His return will likely limit the minutes that Dwight Powell, Willie Cauley-Stein and Josh Green have enjoyed with both Kleber and Porzingis out. It remains to be seen if Kleber will join the starting lineup but he will likely see minutes in the 20s. His return hurts the value of all of the Dallas big men and until we know more about how Dallas wants too run their rotations it is best to stay away from the bigs. The Mavericks offense should continue to mainly be run through Luka Doncic with Tim Hardaway Jr. also seeing a boost while Kristaps Porzingis remains out.

Daniel Theis

Oklahoma City Thunder
5/11/21, 6:44 PM ET

Daniel Theis (hip) now probable Tuesday; Troy Brown Jr. out

Daniel Theis is now listed as probable Tuesday ahead of the Bulls game with the Brooklyn Nets. If active he will likely rejoin the starting lineup and send Thaddeus Young back to the bench. Theis will likely see his normal run and take some minutes away from Lauri Markkanen and Patrick Williams and could force Denzel Valentine from the rotation. Zach Lavine and Vucevic will see most of the offense run through them and are the top options for the Bulls tonight though Vucevic could see a few less rebounds if Theis is able to play tonight.

Jonas Valanciunas

Denver Nuggets
5/11/21, 6:31 PM ET

Jonas Valanciunas (back) ruled out Tuesday

Jonas Valanciunas has officially been ruled out Tuesday along with Jaren Jackson Jr. who was ruled out earlier in the day. With both Jackson and Valanciunas likely to miss the power forward and center positions become extremely thin for the Grizzlies. Xavier Tillman and Desmond Bane will likely join the starting lineup with Brandon Clarke and Killian Tillie getting the rest of the big man minutes vacated by Jackson and Valanciunas. With Jackson, Allen, and Valanciunas off the floor the big winners from an FPM perspective are Ja Morant (.12), De’Anthony Melton (.20), Dillon Brooks (.11), Clarke (.06), and Tillman (.03). Ja Morant should see most of the offense run through him and Tillman should be a great value play due to the increased workload he should see tonight.

JaKarr Sampson

Indiana Pacers
5/11/21, 6:29 PM ET

JaKarr Sampson expected to be available Tuesday

Coach Bjorkgren believes JaKarr Sampson will be able to play Tuesday. If JaKarr Sampson is available he will likely help back up the center and power forward positions but could be limited and isn’t expected to see many minutes.

Lineup Update: Clippers will start Beverley, George, Leonard, Morris, Zubac on Tuesday

5/11/21, 6:11 PM ET

Patrick Beverly will rejoin the starting lineup for the Clippers when they take on the Toronto Raptors Tuesday sending Reggie Jackson back to the bench. One reason for this change is that Coach Ty Lue didn’t like the guard pairing of Rajon Rondo and Beverly.

Devonte Graham

Portland Trail Blazers
5/11/21, 6:18 PM ET

Devonte' Graham (knee) available to play Tuesday

Devonte’ Graham will be available to play Tuesday when Charlotte takes on the Denver Nuggets. Graham has missed the last four games and will likely rejoin the rotation as a backup guard to Terry Rozier and Lamelo ball and see around 20 minutes of playing time. This will cut into the minutes of the Charlotte bench guards mainly Malik Monk and Caleb Martin and could force Brad Wannamaker out of the rotation. The Charlotte offense should continue to be run through Lamelo, Rozier, and PJ Washington.

As reported by: Charlotte Hornets

Aaron Gordon

Denver Nuggets
5/11/21, 6:09 PM ET

Aaron Gordon and Monte Morris available to play Tuesday

Aaron Gordon after being listed probable on the injury report last night will be available tonight when the Nuggets take on the Charlotte Hornets. He was a late addition to the injury report last game and Austin Rivers took his place in the starting lineup. Gordon should see his normal high 20’s minutes and rejoin the starting lineup. Monte Morris is also officially active after being listed as questionable earlier in the day. Facundo Campazzo will likely continue to start but now will be backed up by Morris who joins Austin Rivers and Shaq Harrison as options to see guard minutes. Morris’s return will limit the upside that the other Denver guards enjoyed in his absence and Denver’s offense should be run primarily through Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Porter Jr. who can all be considered tonight.

Chris Boucher

Utah Jazz
5/11/21, 5:59 PM ET

Chris Boucher (knee) will be available and start Tuesday

Chris Boucher will be available and start for the Raptors tonight after previously being listed as questionable. He will be returning after a nine game absence but will be thrust right back into the starting lineup with all the players out tonight for the Raptors. He will Likely supplant Stanley Johnson in the starting lineup who we had projected to start prior to this news. Boucher will also see some time at small forward in some experimental lineups according to Coach Nurse to see how he fits there defensively. The Raptors will only have nine available players tonight and the Toronto offense should mostly be run through Malachi Flynn and Gary Trent Jr.

As reported by: Andrew Greif

Juancho Hernangomez

Toronto Raptors
5/11/21, 5:51 PM ET

Juancho Hernangómez available Tuesday

Hernangomez will be available for the Timberwolves tonight when they take on the Detroit Pistons after being listed questionable on the injury report. Jaden McDaniels is making his return tonight as well and will be available off the bench so he will likely take away some of the minutes that Hernangomez has seen recently and it is likely Jarred Vanderbilt will remain in the starting lineup until McDaniels is ready to take back his starting role. Jake Layman will likely lose his spot in the rotation with the return of both McDaniels and Hernangomez. The Minnesota offense should continue to be run through D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, and Karl-Anthony Towns.
