Lineup update: Heat will start Nunn, Robinson, Iguodala, Ariza, and Adebayo Tuesday
As expected, Iguodala will get the start for the sick Jimmy Butler Tuesday. Iguodala usually doesn’t play heavy minutes, but may have a bigger chance to do now that he’s starting and there’s no Butler and Tyler Herro. Goran Dragic will continue to come off the bench, but will have high usage when he does play.

Chimezie Metu (back) and Harrison barnes (adductor) ruled out Tuesday
Barnes and Metu will both miss the Kings game against the OKC Thunder. Barnes was downgraded from doubtful with an adductor injury, while Metu was listed as questionable with a back injury. Barnes has missed the last three games with the injury, so we know that Maurice Harkless will start for him, but with Tyrese Haliburton ruled out earlier, it’ll be Delon Wright entering the starting lineup in his place. Marvin Bagley will be one of the most popular options on tonight’s slate, as he played 34 minutes last game and will have to continue to play big minutes as Metu’s absence further limits the frontcourt depth. Justin James and Terence Davis will be in line for more minutes, while Kyle Guy should play and re-enter the rotation accoridng to coach Walton. Delon, Bagley, and Buddy Hield will be the best options for the Kings, along with Richaun Holmes if he can stay out of foul trouble.

Porzingis was downgraded from doubtful with a knee injury to out, and will miss the Mavs game against the Miami Heat. Kleber will join him on the sidelines as his Achilles injury will cost him 2-3 games, according to coach Carlisle in his pre-game news conference. Dwight Powell should start at center, while Tim Hardaway Jr. will likely step into the starting lineup, as playing a smaller Heat team means they likely can play smaller lineups themselves. With no Porzingis and Kleber, no players show major boosts up. The offense should flow through Luka Doncic once again, while THJ will get more minutes and does show the biggest boosts in CourtIQ. Assuming he starts, he’s likely the biggest winner of the Mavs having no Kleber.

Diallo and Jackson will both be active ahead of the Pistons game against the Charlotte Hornets. Diallo is getting the start at shooting guard as expected, while Frank will be coming off the bench as he usually does. He played 35 minutes yesterday, so he should be in line for a similar workload, making him and Diallo both worthwhile plays.

Green is expected to start, according to coach Kerr’s pregame news conference. Draymond is battling a hip injury, but Kerr is “guessing” he’ll play, and will warm up with the intention to play through it. If he sits, Juan Toscano-Anderson would get a big bump in playing time, while usage and assist rate would flow even more to Steph.

There was a chance that Roby would lose his starting spot to Kenrich Williams, but he’ll continue to start in place of Aleksej Pokusevski. Lu Dort will start as well and should lead the team in usage, along with Darius Bazley.

Lonzo and Adams were both upgraded from questionable to available, and both will start in the rematch against the Golden State Warriors. Adams makes his return after missing three games with his toe injury, while Lonzo played 40 minutes last night and could be in line for big minutes again. Adams making his return removes Hernangomez and Jaxson Hayes from consideration, while Lonzo is tough to prioritize but is a viable play due to his minutes upside.

Payne was upgraded from questionable to available, and will make his return for the Suns against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’ll likely slot in his usual role for 16-20 minutes off the bench, and is tough to prioritize on such a value heavy slate.

The Heat decided to shake up the slate severely, as Butler was ruled out due to flu-like symptoms, and will miss the game against the Dallas Mavericks. Iguodala was upgraded from questionable with a hip injury to available and will play for the Heat. There was no mention of Butler’s illness all day, so this news was certainly last minute and will change things up for the slate. Andre Iguodala will likely join the starting lineup in his place, with Goran Dragic another option. From a production standpoint, Bam Adebayo sees a huge bump in assist rate and usage with Butler off the court. Per CourtIQ, Adebayo averages 1.43 FPM with no Butler, Herro, and Oladipo on the floor, up from his 1.23 average. Dragic and Kendrick Nunn will also see increased usage rates, with Trevor Ariza getting a good bump and also will play a few more minutes to fill in at the wing. Bam is certainly the biggest winner, but the guards and wings are all viable now as well.

Diallo and Frank Jackson both will be game-time decisions ahead of the Pistons game against the Charlotte Hornets. Both players status is huge; if they both play, the Pistons will have 10 bodies available, but if they both sit, it would only be eight. Both players would be viable value plays if playing; if they end up sitting, it would be a big boon for Killian Hayes, Saben Lee, and Saddiq Bey.

Coach Casey mentioned in his pre-game news conference that Hayes would play in the back-to-back and wouldn’t have a minutes restriction against the Charlotte Hornets. This is promising news for Hayes, as the Pistons are extremely shorthanded, and now it’s easier to project Hayes for his usual 31-33 minutes, while leading the team in assist rate and being a good play overall.

The Hornets will have the three expected replacements for their starters. Caleb Martin gets the start for his brother Cody, McDaniels gets the start in place of Miles Bridges, and Biyombo gets the start in place of PJ Washington. Caleb Martin is likely to be the best play; he produces at around 0.80 FPM when he plays, and should have to play 30 minutes and is a minimum salary across the industry. McDaniels has had to play heavy minutes before, so he’ll likely be in line for 30 or so as well. Biyombo’s minutes are more volatile, but he could be in play still as a viable cheap center.

Payne will be a game-time decision as the Suns prepare to play the Cleveland Cavaliers. Payne missed last game with a knee injury, and was a game-time decision last time before ultimately being ruled out. If he sits, Jevon Carter should pick up a few more minutes, along with Chris Paul and Devin Booker likely picking up the rest.

Varejao was signed to a contract with the team, but won’t dress tonight as the Cavs play the Phoenix Suns. Varejao likely signed with the team just to retire with them, but if he is to get minutes, it won’t be today.

Draymond popped up as questionable with a hip injury ahead of the Warriors rematch against the New Orleans Pelicans. Andrew Wiggins was not listed on the injury report despite being questionable yesterday, so he should be all systems go tonight. Damion Lee, Kelly Oubre, and Eric Paschall all remain out. If Draymond were to sit, there would be a major void of minutes to be filled for the Warriors, as they have been playing an eight man rotation recently without some of their key regulars. Juan Toscano-Anderson would likely start in his place, and would have to play even more minutes than he usually does. Mychal Mulder would pick up a few more as well. There isn’t a large sample size with all the injured players including Draymond off, but Steph would have to be even more involved than he already has, while Andrew Wiggins and Kent Bazemore would likely play more minutes and more usage as a result.
