Jaylen Brown (shoulder), Kemba Walker (rest), and Robert Williams (knee) ruled out Friday; Evan Fournier (protocols) not on injury report
The Celtics will be without some key studs as they prepare to take on the Brooklyn Nets. Kemba will sit on the second half of a back-to-back as expected, while Brown will miss his second straight game with a shoulder injury. Williams will remain out due to his knee injury, but Fournier is not listed on the injury report and should be available to make his return. Fournier may end up having to play some big minutes, but it remains to be seen if he’ll have any minutes restrictions as he works his way back into game shape. Romeo Langford and Semi Ojeleye will likely start at the wings, with Fournier and Payton Pritchard the other two options to start. From a production standpoint, the biggest winner is definitely Tatum; he averages 1.38 FPM with Kemba and Jaylen off the floor, up from his 1.25 average per CourtIQ. Pritchard could be sneaky as well; he averages 1.01 FPM with them two and Robert Williams off the floor, a big bump from his 0.76 average. If Pritchard ends up having to play more minutes at the point, he could take advantage. Tristan Thompson should continue to start at center and could be a value as well. The Celtics will certainly have some value, with Tatum leading the way.

James Johnson (adductor) ruled out Thursday
Johnson will miss his second straight game with an adductor injury and will sit out against the Orlando Magic. Naji Marshall has been starting and played 34 minutes last game; with how coach Van Gundy likes to run his tight rotations, it’s likely he’ll continue to pick up the few minutes Johnson leaves. Wes Iwundu may get a few more as well.

Wendell Carter Jr (ankle) listed questionable Thursday
Ben Simmons (illness) out Thursday; Seth Curry (hip) and Tobias Harris (knee) probable; Joel Embiid not listed on injury report; Furkan Korkmaz (ankle) questionable
The 76ers appear to be getting most of their stars back as they battle the Milwaukee Bucks for Eastern Conference supremacy. Simmons was ruled out for the third straight game due to an illness, while Curry and Harris were both listed as probable to return from their ailments. Embiid was not listed on the injury report, and will play on the back-to-back. Korkmaz was listed as questionable due to an ankle injury after starting and playing 21 minutes last night. The biggest winner of this news is clearly Embiid; he averages a gigantic 1.90 FPM per CourtIQ with Simmons off the floor, up from his average of 1.61 FPM. Embiid also leads the team in usage with a team high 45%. Tobias Harris also sees a bump up, and could be able to take advantage of the absences. There should be a few more minutes for some of the 76ers wings filling in for Simmons; more minutes for Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle, and Korkmaz (if he plays). Overall though, Embiid will certainly be the biggest winner as his splits without Simmons are great.

In his pregame news conference, Brad Stevens mentioned that he thought Brown was “likely out” due to his shoulder injury. He will test it out pre-game, but it’s expected he sits as we’ve thought due to his doubtful designation. This should give bumps to Tatum and Kemba, with Ojeleye getting the start.
As reported by: Gerald Bourguet via TwitterJames Ennis (calf) and Terrence Ross (back) ruled out Thursday
After being listed questionable earlier in the day, both Ennis and Ross were downgraded to out as the Magic prepare to play the New Orleans Pelicans. Both players will miss their third straight game; Ennis with a calf injury, and Ross with back spasms. This is on top of Michael Carter-Williams and Otto Porter both out again. The Magic have run a ten man rotation lately, and it should be the same again today. Dwayne Bacon should stay in the starting lineup in place of Ennis; he’s averaged 30 minutes the last two games while starting. With no Ross, the usage will flow to the rest of the team; Cole Anthony, Chuma Okeke, and Wendell Carter will continue to lead the team in usage most likely. The Magic do have a good matchup in the Pelicans, so there’s certainly some avenues to fantasy production.
As reported by: Josh Robbins via Twitter Other tagged players: Terrence RossKristaps Porzingis (rest) not on injury report Thursday; Maxi Kleber (back) doubtful
Porzingis looks like he’ll be able to play the Mavs back-to-back, as he’s not listed on the injury report ahead of the game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kleber was listed as doubtful with a back injury that limited him to 13 minutes yesterday. Even before the injury, Kleber was coming off the bench in favor of Dwight Powell. It’s likely that Powell will get the start again at center, but he only played 11 minutes yesterday, while Willey Cauley-Stein re-entered the rotation to play 13 minutes of his own. Kleber’s expected absence will likely throw a few minutes at Powell, WCS, and possibly Nicolo Melli, but it’ll be tough to project who specifically is the biggest winner.
