De'Anthony Melton ruled out Monday

De’Anthony Melton ruled out Monday. He had been labeled day-to-day on Sunday, but it’s no surprise that he’s going to miss another game. He was not included in our initial projections and therefore doesn’t impact our projected rotation, so John Konchar will continue to get some bench minutes at SG with Desmond Bane being a little more involved.

Garrett Temple considered questionable Monday

Garrett Temple considered questionable Monday. It’s possible he returns after a 7-game absence, which would figure to kick Denzel Valentine right back out of the rotation and could also lead to Troy Brown Jr. getting the same treatment. We’ll continue to update on Temple’s status.

Gary Harris listed out Monday

Gary Harris listed out Monday. He drew a start on Sunday with Chuma Okeke out, but Harris will sit on the second half of a back-to-back. Harris missed a big chunk of time at the end of his tenure with the Nuggets and a handful of games so far with Orlando, so it’s not surprising to see the Magic be cautious. The backcourt has gotten crowded with Harris and Cole Anthony back in the fold, so there isn’t a big beneficiary here. Dwayne Bacon, Terrence Ross and RJ Hampton could all see a little extra burn.

Kristaps Porzingis questionable Monday; Maxi Kleber probable

Kristaps Porzingis questionable Monday, with Maxi Kleber listed probable. The Mavs are on a back-to-back on Monday and will need all the front-court help they can get against the Sixers. Kleber sat on Sunday but looks ready to return on Monday and shouldn’t be on any sort of minutes restriction, and could possibly be a little more involved if Porzingis can’t go. We’d see more of Dwight Powell, Willie Cauley-Stein and Boban Marjanovic, with Boban being the most appealing from a DFS perspective in the event that he can draw a start.

Lonzo Ball ruled out Monday

Lonzo Ball ruled out Monday. He’ll miss another contest on Monday, which figures to afford Naji Marshall another opportunity to start after a productive outing against Cleveland. Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and Eric Bledsoe will all continue to pick up some extra playmaking responsibility with Lonzo on the shelf, with Zion being one of the top overall plays on Monday’s slate.

Gorgui Dieng and Trey Lyles ruled out Monday

Gorgui Dieng and Trey Lyles ruled out Monday. The Spurs will be a little more thin than usual in the frontcourt, but neither player was expected to be apart of the rotation anyway.

Dennis Smith Jr. (knee) ruled out Sunday

This was expected after the starting lineup for Sunday was announced and Dennis Smith Jr. was absent. Cory Joseph should see the bulk of the point guard minutes with Saben Lee backing him up. Wayne Ellington and Frank Jackson will also likely see more minutes as the Pistons are without two guards now (Killian Hayes being ruled out earlier). With Jerami Grant (also ruled out earlier), Hayes, and Smith Jr. off the floor Wayne Ellington and Cory Joseph both see a .14 FPM bump, Frank Jackson sees a .10 FPM bump, and Lee sees a .08 FPM bump. Josh Jackson and Sadiq Bey also see a minor FPM bump.

Missing from this starting lineup is Dennis Smith Jr. who was popped up questionable earlier in the day, if this is any indication he is likely out tonight or will only play in a reduced role

After not seeing the court for six straight games (4 DNP while available) Kendrick Nunn will draw the start tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers. Goran Dragic, Tyler Herro, and Gabe Vincent will be the top guards available off the bench.

Gabe Vincent (knee) available Sunday

As expected after being listed as probable all day leading up to tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers Gabe Vincent will be available. He should see his normal rotation minutes. After Tyler Herro was confirmed to be available to play tonight Vincent lost any of his potential appeal on this slate.

Tyler Herro (foot) will play Sunday

Tyler Herro will be available tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers. He should see his normal minutes and play a key role of the bench. Goran Dragic, Gabe Vincent, and Kendrick Nunn who all could have seen more minutes tonight if Herro was ruled out should all see their normal run which leaves Nunn out of the rotation more than likely.

Jusuf Nurkic will start and be limited to around 25 minutes Sunday

Jusuf Nurkic will start and be limited to around 25 minutes Sunday and will have Enes Kanter back him up. Nurkic is still working his way back from an injury and Kanter who is coming off a monster game last night with Nurkic out will have to come off the bench. Until Nurkic sees his full minutes it will be difficult to roster him in DFS.

Rajon Rondo (adductor) available Sunday

Rajon Rondo will be available to play Sunday against the Detroit Pistons. He will most likely be the backup point guard behind Reggie Jackson and should see a decent amount of run with Kawhi Leonard, Patrick Beverley, and Serge Ibaka ruled out. With these players off the floor the top plays from a usage and FPM perspective are Paul George (5.1% and .08 FPM), Marcus Morris (3.1% and .07 FPM), Luke Kennard (2.2% and .08 FPM), and Ivica Zubac (1.1% and .14 FPM). Both Terrence Mann and Nicolas Batum should see some uptick as well. Paul George is an elite play any time Kawhi is out and his supporting cast all offer good potential value.

Jaylen Nowell (leg) available to play Sunday

Jaylen Nowell is available for Sunday’s contest against the Chicago Bulls after missing the last three games. It will be interesting to see where Nowell fits in the Minnesota backcourt as D’Angelo Russell, Ricky Rubio, Jordan McLaughlin and Anthony Edwards have been handling most of the guard minutes. With this full of a backcourt it is best to stay away from Nowell until we know more about the rotation.

As expected Nicolo Melli will start for Maxi Kleber who is out with a leg injury
