Jamal Murray available to play Monday

Jamal Murray available to play Monday. Murray will return after a four-game absence that afforded an extended opportunity to Facundo Campazzo as a starter, but he’ll shift back to the bench here. He and Monte Morris will compete for backup PG minutes behind Murray, although the Nuggets have played some 2-PG lineups while the bench is out there at times. It’s possible one of them falls out of the rotation, but we should get a clearer picture of that situation after tonight’s game. Murray’s return does also eat mildly into the upside of Jokic, Porter Jr., Gordon and Barton, although the impacts aren’t major.

Garrett Temple listed out Monday

Garrett Temple listed out Monday. Troy Brown Jr. and Denzel Valentine will continue to eat up what he’s leaving behind, but neither are DFS options. Daniel Theis has some punt play appeal on Monday and both Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic are fine upside targets in what should be a competitive game with the Grizzlies.

Buddy Hield

Atlanta Hawks

Buddy Hield (illness) ruled out Monday; Kings will start Fox, Haliburton, Harkless, Barnes, Holmes

Buddy Hield (illness) ruled out Monday; Kings will start Fox, Haliburton, Harkless, Barnes, Holmes. With Hield out, the Kings will be more reliant on De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes and Tyrese Haliburton to get shots up. Barnes in particular should get more offensive responsibilities and could be relied on a little more as a shooter, especially given how active Hield is moving without the ball around the perimeter. De’Aaron Fox’s ceiling is absolutely massive and while Haliburton hasn’t been all that efficient of late, the absence of Hield should lead to more opportunity at a mid-range price tag.

Lineup Update: Pelicans will start Bledsoe, Iwundu, Ingram, Zion, Adams on Monday; Naji Marshall to the bench

Lineup Update: Pelicans will start Bledsoe, Iwundu, Ingram, Zion, Adams on Monday; Naji Marshall to the bench. Marshall had a nice performance on Sunday as a starter, but the Pels will give Wes Iwundu a shot to roll with the starters on Tuesday. We still don’t expect Iwundu to play much, and he’s not a DFS option. His presence in the starting lineup does take Marshall completely out of play.

Garrett Temple still listed questionable, but not expected to play Monday

Garrett Temple still listed questionable, but not expected to play Monday.

Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal will play Monday, but will be on a minutes restriction

Bradley Beal will play Monday, but will be on a minutes restriction. It’s unknown what that limit will be, but it seems unlikely it’s all that harsh – we’re still projecting him for 30 minutes on Monday. Russell Westbrook is the only other member of the Wizards with any DFS appeal, and his upside is further aided by Beal not being able to play his typical allotment of minutes. Beal isn’t a recommended option Monday.

Jalen Brunson

Lineup Update: Mavericks will start Luka, Brunson, Richardson, Finney-Smith, Kleber on Monday

Lineup Update: Mavericks will start Luka, Brunson, Richardson, Finney-Smith, Kleber on Monday. They’ll start a little small with Jalen Brunson giving them a three-guard look against a big Sixers starting lineup. It appears Kleber will take the first shift on Joel Embiid – best of luck to him.

Jordan Clarkson

New York Knicks
4/12/21, 7:22 PM ET

Jordan Clarkson ruled out Monday

Jordan Clarkson ruled out Monday. He has been doubtful since last night, so this doesn’t change anything with our projections. Donovan Mitchell is one of the top overall plays on the slate and Joe Ingles is among the top value options with Clarkson and Mike Conley on the shelf.

Wesley Matthews

4/12/21, 7:20 PM ET

Wesley Matthews, Marc Gasol both available to play Monday

Wesley Matthews, Marc Gasol both available to play Monday. Gasol still figures to ride the pine with Drummond/Harrell eating up all of the available center minutes, while Matthews should be expected to play roughly 20 minutes as a reserve wing, although he’s not anywhere near the DFS radar. His return does eat into the appeal of Talen Horton-Tucker and Alex Caruso.

Kyle Kuzma

Kyle Kuzma and Dennis Schroder will both play and start Monday

Kyle Kuzma and Dennis Schroder will both play and start Monday. They’ll join Andre Drummond, Markieff Morris and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the starting five, and neither player should be on any sort of minutes restriction. Andre Drummond’s emergence has eaten into the efficiency numbers of both Kuzma and Schroder – Kuzma’s price tag on both sites is a little prohibitive given the rebound rate decline and overall usage dip with Drummond in the lineup. Both players are still on the GPP radar, but it’s worth noting that the Knicks play very slow and make an effort to limit possessions, which typically doesn’t bode well for DFS purposes.

Chuma Okeke

Cleveland Cavaliers
4/12/21, 6:40 PM ET

Chuma Okeke will start Monday, but will have minutes monitored

Chuma Okeke will start Monday, but will be on an unspecified minutes restriction. Given that he only missed one game, it doesn’t seem like his minutes should be watched all that closely – we have him projected for 26 minutes, down from the 32-34 median range he had been getting of late. He is a risky DFS proposition tonight given that the minutes may be watched and his price has crept up, and his presence also keeps guys like James Ennis from popping. Robert Franks is expected to see some modest run off the bench to give the Magic some depth at the 4.

Kristaps Porzingis

Golden State Warriors
4/12/21, 6:54 PM ET

Kristaps Porzingis (injury recovery) ruled out Monday; Maxi Kleber (leg) and J.J. Redick (heel) available to play

Kristaps Porzingis (injury recovery) ruled out Monday; Maxi Kleber (leg) and J.J. Redick (heel) available to play. With Porzingis out, we are projecting Boban Marjanovic to start, but only play about 12-14 minutes. That isn’t enough to put him on the DFS radar, but Maxi Kleber is potentially in play given his salary and the likelihood that he plays 32-34 minutes in a competitive game. Tim Hardaway Jr., Jalen Brunson, Nicolo Melli and J.J. Redick are all candidates to see a little extra run with Porzingis on the shelf. Redick will make his Dallas debut tonight, but shouldn’t be expected to play more than 10-15 minutes as he gets acclimated to his new team off of a long injury layoff.

Jamal Murray

Jamal Murray questionable for Monday

Jamal Murray questionable for Monday. He’s missed the Nuggets last four games and is in some danger of missing a fifth, which would figure to lead to another Facundo Campazzo start with Monte Morris being the main PG off the bench. Given that Morris is still playing a relatively small role even with Murray on the shelf, it’ll be interesting to see if he falls even more out of favor once Murray returns with Campazzo playing well. We’ll keep you updated on Murray’s status as the day unfolds.

Dennis Schroder

Cleveland Cavaliers
4/12/21, 3:56 PM ET

Dennis Schroder probable Monday; Alfonzo McKinnie ruled out

Dennis Schroder is probable Monday against the Knicks, while Alfonzo McKinnie has been ruled out. Schroder was ejected from Saturday’s game after a spat with Kyrie Irving, but he figures to return to his normal role here against a Knicks team that plays very slowly and limits possessions better than any other team in the league. McKinnie won’t play due to health and safety protocols, but he wasn’t in our projected rotation for Monday’s game.
