Devonte Graham (knee) ruled out Saturday, Cody Martin available
Graham was originally listed as doubtful earlier due to knee discomfort, but was downgraded to out as expected and will miss the Hornets’ game against the Golden State Warriors tonight. Cody Martin being available is a surprise, as he was originally listed as out due to health and safety protocols, but was cleared to play and will be playing off the bench. Caleb Martin is still listed as out due to the protocols, while Gordon Hayward is listed as probable with lower back discomfort. With Graham out, Rozier and Ball should continue to start in the backcourt along with Hayward, PJ Washington, and Cody Zeller in the frontcourt. Cody Martin’s return may lead to a few minutes off the bench, and could take some away from Malik Monk or Miles Bridges. With Graham and Caleb Martin off the court, Ball leads the team with 1.27 FPM and a 29.6% assist rate per CourtIQ. Zeller shows the biggest increase in production, averaging 1.18 FPM and a 18.1% assist rate, up from 1.07 FPM and a 13.8% assist rate.
As reported by: the Charlotte Hornets via Twitter Other tagged players: Cody MartinMike Conley (hamstring) will play Friday
Conley has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Friday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers after missing the past six games due to right hamstring tightness. It remains to be seen just how many minutes Conley will be able to handle in his first game back, but head coach Quin Snyder did confirm to reporters during his pregame media availability that Conley will have a minute restriction in tonight’s contest, though he failed to elaborate on the specifics. Despite the limitation, Conley should still replace Joe Ingles in the starting lineup, and it’s possible Miye Oni finds himself out of the rotation entirely following his solid contributions off the bench with the second unit over the previous few weeks.
As reported by: Farbod Esnaashari via TwitterPaul George (toe), Kawhi Leonard (leg), Luke Kennard (knee), and Nicolas Batum (concussion) available to play Friday
The Clippers have officially upgraded George, Leonard, Kennard, and Batum from questionable, and they’ll all be available to play in Friday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz after each missed time with their respective ailments. This will have the Clippers back at full strength, and head coach Tyronn Lue will revert to his usual starting lineup of George, Leonard, Batum, Patrick Beverley, and Serge Ibaka for tonight’s contest. Additionally, all of the returning players will be subject to an unspecified minute restriction as Lue declined to elaborate on how much playing time he expects them to see this evening.
As reported by: Kristina Pink via Twitter Other tagged players: Kawhi Leonard, Luke Kennard, Nicolas BatumOG Anunoby (rest) ruled out Friday
Anunoby is a late addition to the Raptors’ injury report and won’t play in Friday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to rest purposes on the second leg of a back-to-back set. Meanwhile, Kyle Lowry was previously ruled out with a sprained left thumb that’s now sidelined him for two games, but that isn’t surprising as head coach Nick Nurse admitted to reporters during his pregame media availability on Thursday that he expected Lowry to miss at least two games, and then the team would reassess his injury situation moving forward. As for Patrick McCaw, it remains unclear if he’ll have a role in the second unit right out of the gate, but considering Matt Thomas led all bench players in playing time in last night’s win, it seems plausible McCaw takes over at least a portion of those minutes this evening.
As reported by: Ryan Wolstat via TwitterPatrick McCaw (knee) available to play Friday; Kyle Lowry (thumb) remains out
As expected, McCaw has been upgraded from probable and will be available to play in Friday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing the entire season thus far while rehabbing from left knee surgery. Meanwhile, Kyle Lowry has been downgraded from questionable due to a sprained left thumb that’s now sidelined him for two games, but that isn’t surprising as head coach Nick Nurse admitted to reporters during his pregame media availability on Thursday that he expected Lowry to miss at least two games, and then the team would reassess his injury situation moving forward. As for McCaw, it remains unclear if he’ll have a role in the second unit right out of the gate, but considering Matt Thomas led all bench players in playing time in last night’s win, it seems plausible McCaw takes over at least a portion of those minutes this evening.
As reported by: Blake Murphy via Twitter Other tagged players: Kyle LowryDraymond Green (ankle) will start Friday
As expected, Green has officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Friday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic after being a late scratch due to a sore right ankle prior to Wednesday’s win. In his absence, Mychal Mulder ended up receiving the starting nod alongside Andrew Wiggins on the wing, but he was a starter in name only and logged just 14 minutes while Kent Bazemore and Eric Paschall each logged at least 31 minutes off the bench. There hasn’t been any indication Green will have a minute restriction in his return to game action, so he should assume his usual spot in the starting lineup at the center position with James Wiseman and Kevon Looney still unavailable with their respective ailments.
As reported by: John Dickinson via TwitterBen Simmons (illness) ruled out Friday
Despite being listed as probable on the Sixers’ injury report, Simmons has now officially been ruled out of Friday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets due to an illness that’s now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Shake Milton remains sidelined with a sprained left ankle. In Simmons’ absence, head coach Doc Rivers will opt for defense over on-ball creation or shooting with Matisse Thybulle set to receive another start alongside Danny Green on the wing, which will move Seth Curry over to point guard and likely limit Tyrese Maxey to only backup point minutes in the second unit once again. However, it’s still not out of the realm of possibility Maxey sees time alongside Curry, but with Isaiah Joe likely to remain in the rotation, Maxey and Furkan Korkmaz could have significantly lower minute floors than it would appear at first glance.
As reported by: Cassidy Hubbarth via TwitterWill Barton (personal) available to play Friday
Barton has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Friday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers after missing three games due to personal reasons, while JaMychal Green remains listed as probable on the Nuggets’ injury report with a strained right shoulder. There haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction for Barton, and since Gary Harris is sidelined once again, it’s possible Barton rejoins the starting lineup alongside Jamal Murray in the backcourt for tonight’s contest. As for Green, assuming he’s cleared to play, should slot into the starting power forward spot for a third straight game as Paul Millsap continues to deal with a sprained left knee.
As reported by: Mike Singer via TwitterDraymond Green (ankle) expected to play Friday
Green is still technically listed as questionable on the Warriors’ injury report, but head coach Steve Keer disclosed to reporters that he expects him to play in Friday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic barring a setback in pregame warmups after being a late scratch due to a sore right ankle prior to Wednesday’s win. In his absence, Mychal Mulder ended up receiving the starting nod alongside Andrew Wiggins on the wing, but he was a starter in name only and logged just 14 minutes while Kent Bazemore and Eric Paschall each logged at least 31 minutes off the bench. There hasn’t been any indication Green will have a minute restriction if he’s cleared to play, so he should assume his usual spot in the starting lineup at the center position with James Wiseman and Kevon Looney still unavailable with their respective ailments.
As reported by: Connor Letourneau via TwitterJames Ennis (groin) and Evan Fournier (back) will start Friday
Ennis has officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Friday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors after missing two games due to a strained right groin, while Fournier has also been cleared to play following his original probable designation on the Magic’s injury report with lower back spasms. Head coach Steve Clifford has opted to shake up his starting lineup against an undermanned Warriors squad by starting Khem Birch alongside Nikola Vucevic in the frontcourt, which will send Gary Clark to resume a reserve role following his run as an ineffective member of the first unit at power forward. However, Clifford mentioned that he plans to utilize an 11-man rotation in an effort to keep certain players’ minutes in check, making it difficult to target anyone other than Nikola Vucevic in daily fantasy formats this evening.
As reported by: Josh Robbins via Twitter Other tagged players: Evan FournierPatrick McCaw (knee) listed probable Friday
McCaw has been upgraded from out on the Raptors’ initial injury report and is listed as probable for Friday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing the entire season thus far while rehabbing from left knee surgery. Meanwhile, Kyle Lowry was listed as questionable with a sprained left thumb that’s already sidelined him for one game, but head coach Nick Nurse admitted to reporters during his pregame media availability on Thursday that he expected Lowry to miss at least two games, and then the team would reassess his injury situation moving forward. As for McCaw, it remains unclear if he’ll have a role in the second unit right out of the gate, but considering Matt Thomas led all bench players in playing time in last night’s win, it seems plausible McCaw takes over at least a portion of those minutes this evening.
As reported by: Blake Murphy via TwitterDennis Schroder (protocols) ruled out Thursday
Schroder is a late addition to the Lakers’ injury report and has now been ruled out of Thursday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets as he’s entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and could be required to self-isolate for a currently undetermined amount of time for contact tracing of if he ultimately has a confirmed positive test. In his absence, head coach Frank Vogel will shift LeBron James over to the point guard position and start Wesley Matthews alongside Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on the wing. However, Matthews is typically an underwhelming option in daily fantasy formats given his volatile minute floor and horrendous fantasy production on a per-minute level, but this lineup change could lead to more minutes for the likes of Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker, or Markieff Morris off the bench, making them intriguing tournament flyers on an abbreviated three-game slate.
As reported by: Mike Trudell via TwitterKyle Lowry (thumb) ruled out Thursday; Yuta Watanabe (ankle) available to play
Lowry has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Thursday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sprained left thumb and sore ankle he sustained in Tuesday’s win, while Watanabe will be available to play after missing four games with a sprained ankle. However, with DeAndre Bembry emerging into a larger role in recent games, it remains unclear exactly what kind of role Watanabe will have in the rotation moving forward. The Raptors did recall Malachi Flynn from the G-League bubble in Orlando earlier this afternoon, so there may be a bit of a logjam at the backup guard positions with Terence Davis appearing to be in head coach Nick Nurse’s doghouse of late, and Matt Thomas seeing his first meaningful minutes in quite a while last time out.
As reported by: Blake Murphy via Twitter Other tagged players: Yuta WatanabeDraymond Green (ankle) a late scratch Wednesday
Despite never being listed on the Warriors’ injury report, Green was scratched from the starting lineup just moments before tip-off and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat due to a sore right ankle. He’ll be replaced in the starting lineup by Mychal Mulder, which will slide Kelly Oubre Jr. and Juan Toscano-Anderson down a position to power forward and center, respectively, and form an extremely small starting five this evening.
As reported by: Nick Friedell via TwitterLuke Kennard (knee) ruled out Wednesday
Despite never being listed on the Clippers’ injury report, Kennard has officially been ruled out and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz due to a sore knee, while Kawhi Leonard and Nicolas Batum were previously deemed unavailable with their respective ailments. Kennard’s absence won’t affect head coach Tyronn Lue’s starting lineup as he continues to utilize a three-guard first unit with Patrick Beverley, Reggie Jackson, and Lou Williams running the offense. The real impact of Kennard being sidelined is that Terance Mann and Amir Coffey should see extensive run with the second unit at the wing and guard positions, whereas Marcus Morris will be forced to start at power forward and likely not spend time as a small-ball five, increasing the minute ceiling of both Serge Ibaka and Ivica Zubac this evening.
