Kyrie Irving

Dallas Mavericks
1/23/20, 4:40 PM ET

Kyrie Irving (hamstring) listed available Thursday; DeAndre Jordan (finger) and Nicolas Claxton (shoulder) listed out

As expected, Irving will be available to play in Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing one game due to right hamstring tightness, while Jordan and Claxton have been ruled out with their respective ailments, the former set to miss a third straight contest. Claxton logged just over 17 minutes as the backup center in Monday’s loss, so with him now unavailable, Jarrett Allen becomes the lone remaining true center on Brooklyn’s active roster, which should give him a significantly higher minute floor than he typically has on a night-to-night basis. Allen is likely priced too cheaply for his expected minute workload in tonight’s contest, so he’ll be an elite option for all daily fantasy formats since he has a 19.0% rebound rate and is averaging 1.09 DraftKings and 1.12 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.

J.J. Redick

Dallas Mavericks
1/22/20, 11:12 PM ET

J.J. Redick (hamstring) available to play Wednesday

Redick has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs despite dealing a strained left hamstring, while Jrue Holiday, Derrick Favors, Josh Hart, and Jahlil Okafor have all also been cleared to play. Zion Williamson was previously listed as probable on the Pelicans’ injury report, but he will make his highly-anticipated NBA debut in tonight’s contest, and head coach Alvin Gentry already confirmed with reporters that Williamson won’t be subject to a concrete minute restriction. However, several reports have already surfaced that Williamson will play in short stints and is likely to be limited to 15-20 minutes this evening. Additionally, the return of Favors will supplant Jaxson Hayes from the starting lineup following his disappointing fantasy performance in 19 minutes of action in Monday’s win, while Nicolo Melli will also assume a diminished role moving forward with Willamson siphoning playing time from him at the power forward position as well.

Josh Hart (ankle) and Jahlil Okafor (back) available to play Wednesday

Hart and Okafor will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs despite dealing with their respective ailments, while J.J. Redick remains questionable with a strained left hamstring and will come off the bench if he’s cleared to play. Zion Williamson was previously listed as probable on the Pelicans’ injury report, but he will make his highly-anticipated NBA debut in tonight’s contest, and head coach Alvin Gentry already confirmed with reporters that Williamson won’t be subject to a concrete minute restriction. Aaron Holiday

Houston Rockets
1/22/20, 11:19 PM ET

Aaron Holiday (thumb) available to play Wednesday

Holiday has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns despite dealing with a sore right thumb. Naturally, Holiday has assumed a diminished role in head coach Nate McMillan’s rotation with Malcolm Brogdon active and healthy for the Pacers previous five games, and he’s eclipsed the 20-minute mark just twice over this span. Brogdon is priced relatively fairly across daily fantasy sites for tonight’s 12-game slate, but he continues to lead the Pacers with a 26.8% usage rate, 37.2% assist rate and is averaging 1.16 DraftKings and 1.12 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far, which keeps him consideration for tournament formats on a nightly basis.

Derrick Favors (back) and Jrue Holiday (elbow) will start Wednesday

As expected, Favors and Holiday will start in Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs despite dealing with their respective ailments, while J.J. Cameron Johnson

Denver Nuggets
1/22/20, 8:26 PM ET

Cameron Johnson (quad) officially out Wednesday

As expected, Johnson has been downgraded from doubtful and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to a right quad contusion that has now forced him to miss three games, while Aron Baynes and Frank Kaminsky remain sidelined with their respective ailments. Kelly Oubre Jr. returned from a two-game injury absence in Monday’s loss, and he was relatively solid from a fantasy perspective in just under 37 minutes of action, making it likely he’ll be able to handle a similar minute workload if needed, this evening. Oubre isn’t exactly priced at a discount on daily fantasy sites, but he’s exhibited the upside to be considered in tournament formats on a nightly basis, as he owns a 22.1% usage rate and is averaging 0.97 DraftKings and 0.98 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.

Gary Harris

Detroit Pistons
1/22/20, 8:12 PM ET

Gary Harris (adductor) out Wednesday

As expected, Harris won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets due to a strained right adductor that has now forced him to miss five games, while Michael Porter Jr., Mason Plumlee, Paul Millsap, and Jamal Murray were all previously ruled out with their respective ailments. This will leave the Nuggets extremely thin at the center position, and head coach Michael Malone already confirmed that he plans to distribute real rotation minutes to Jarred Vanderbilt to help fill the void behind Nikola Jokic, though he’s unlikely to have a significant role given Jerami Grant’s ability to play in as a small-ball center in smaller lineup combinations. Now that Harris is unavailable, Torrey Craig is likely to maintain a sizable role in the rotation for at least one more game since Malone hasn’t been shy about using Craig to guard James Harden in previous matchups with at least some success.

Michael Porter Jr.

Brooklyn Nets
1/22/20, 7:59 PM ET

Michael Porter Jr. (back) officially out Wednesday

Porter Jr. has quickly been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets due to back tightness, while Gary Harris remains questionable and Mason Plumlee, Paul Millsap, and Jamal Murray were all previously ruled out with their respective ailments. Even if Harris is cleared to play, Torrey Craig is likely to maintain a sizable role in the rotation for at least one more game since Malone hasn’t been shy about using Craig to guard James Harden in previous matchups with at least some success.

Marcus Morris

New York Knicks
1/22/20, 8:07 PM ET

Marcus Morris (ankle) and Dennis Smith Jr. (oblique) available to play Wednesday

Morris and Smith Jr. have officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers despite dealing with their respective ailments, while RJ Barrett remains sidelined for a third straight game with a sprained right ankle. Even though he’s been cleared, Smith appears to be firmly out of the rotation, and he hasn’t appeared in a game in nearly a full month’s time. As for Morris, there has been no indication that he will be subject to a minute restriction, so he should be able to handle his usual minute workload and start alongside Julius Randle in the frontcourt this evening.

Michael Porter Jr.

1/22/20, 7:29 PM ET

Michael Porter Jr. (back) downgraded to questionable Wednesday

Porter Jr. is a late addition to the Nuggets’ injury report and is now questionable for Wednesday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets due to back tightness, while Gary Harris remains questionable and Mason Plumlee, Paul Millsap, and Jamal Murray were all previously ruled out with their respective ailments. Andre Drummond

New York Knicks
1/22/20, 7:43 PM ET

Andre Drummond (mouth) and Bruce Brown (illness) out Wednesday

Drummond and Brown have officially been ruled out and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings due to their respective ailments, while Jackson was previously cleared to return from a lengthy absence because of a left lumbar spine stress reaction. Jackson confirmed with reporters that he will have a minute restriction in his first game back, but he wasn’t sure if he would immediately start or come off the bench. In Drummond’s absence, Thon Maker will likely receive the starting nod at the center position, but he’s typically had a volatile minute floor in his past spot starts, especially in matchups where head coach Dwane Casey could easily utilize smaller lineup combinations without a traditional center more often. Other than Maker and Christian Wood’s increased playing time, Derrick Rose has been the clear beneficiary with all the injured Pistons off the court, as he owns a 35.3% usage rate, 51.9% assist rate, and is averaging 1.47 DraftKings and 1.44 FanDuel points per minute in a 187.9 minutes sample size.

Steven Adams

Houston Rockets
1/22/20, 7:53 PM ET

Steven Adams (ankle) out Wednesday; Nerlens Noel (ankle) will play

Adams has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic due to a sprained left ankle, while Noel has been cleared to play after being a late scratch in the previous game with a sore left ankle. Adams exited just two minutes into Monday’s win, so Mike Muscala was forced to log just over 25 minutes in relief, but he was extremely disappointing from a fantasy perspective, and he will be the clear backup to Noel in tonight’s contest, assuming he isn’t subject to a strict minute restriction. Noel has played fewer than 22 minutes in both games since returning from a lengthy injury layoff, but he is still easily the preferred target for all daily fantasy formats over Muscala, as he has a 15.4% rebound rate, 6.9% block rate, and is averaging 1.14 DraftKings and 1.23 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.

Trae Young

Washington Wizards
1/22/20, 6:55 PM ET

Trae Young (thigh) out Wednesday; Alex Len (back) will play

Young has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a right thigh contusion, while Len has been cleared after missing four straight games with low back pain. The last time Young was sidelined, Brandon Goodwin ended up receiving the start at point guard and was serviceable from a fantasy perspective in 27 minutes of action, but he’s seen his role in the rotation essentially evaporate in the two games since Jeff Teague made his Hawks debut, which makes it likely Teague steps into the starting lineup this evening. Teague has only recorded 36.6 minutes in a Hawks uniform this season, but in that limited time, he has a 24.0% usage rate, 38.1% assist rate, and is averaging 0.96 DraftKings and 0.90 FanDuel points per minute, which would make him an elite value option across the daily fantasy industry if Young is unable to suit up this evening.

Derrick Favors

Derrick Favors (back) and Jahlil Okafor (back) upgraded to probable Wednesday; J.J. Redick (hamstring) now questionable

Favors and Okafor have been upgraded from questionable to probable for Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, while Redick is now questionable with a strained left hamstring. Zion Williamson is also technically listed as probable on the Pelicans’ injury report, but he will undoubtedly make his NBA debut in tonight’s contest, and head coach Alvin Gentry already confirmed with reporters that Williamson won’t be subject to a concrete minute restriction. However, several reports have already surfaced that Williamson will play in short stints and is likely to be limited to 15-20 minutes this evening. The probable return of Favors will supplant Jaxson Hayes from the starting lineup following his disappointing fantasy performance in 19 minutes of action in Monday’s win, while Nicolo Melli will also assume a diminished role moving forward with Willamson siphoning playing time from him at the power forward position as well.
