Marvin Williams (nose) officially out Wednesday
As expected, Williams won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors due to a surgical procedure on a nasal fracture that has now forced him to miss two games. Williams has taken on a lesser role in head coach James Borrego’s frontcourt rotation of late with P.J, Washington returning from an extended injury layoff, and Williams has been limited to fewer than 15 minutes in four of his previous five games. In his absence, there’s a number of players that become candidates to join the rotation, but none of Nicols Batum, Cody Martin, or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist are likely to receive enough minutes to become relevant for daily fantasy formats on tonight’s nine-game main slate, evidenced by the 16 minutes Martin logged in Monday’s loss.
As reported by: Charlotte Hornets PR via TwitterMalcolm Brogdon (back) out Wednesday
Brogdon has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat due to a sore lower back that has now forced him to miss four games, while Domantas Sabonis is expected to be a game-time decision because of a sore left knee. With Edmond Sumner available in each of the Pacers’ previous two games, the backcourt rotation has become much more crowded, which has really hindered the minute floors of Aaron Holiday and T.J. McConnell on a game-to-game basis. However, Sumner won’t see enough playing time to become a viable daily fantasy option himself, but his presence in the rotation is enough to remove McConnell from consideration since head coach Nate McMillan won’t be forced to play as many lineups with McConnell and Holiday together in the backcourt.
As reported by: Tony East via TwitterDaniel Theis (knee) available to play Wednesday
Theis has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs despite dealing with a sore neck, while Kemba Walker has also been cleared to play after missing three games with an illness. However, head coach Brad Stevens confirmed on a local radio show that Walker won’t play his regular allotment of minutes in his first game back in the lineup. His mere return should still be enough to send Marcus Smart back to the bench following a couple of phenomenal fantasy performances in an average of 34.7 minutes as a starter over this span. With Walker limited, a few extra minutes could trickle down to Smart, which would keep him in consideration for tournament formats since he has a 21.0% assist rate and is averaging 0.83 DraftKings and 0.84 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.
As reported by: the Boston Celtics via TwitterKenrich Williams (back) downgraded to questionable Wednesday
Williams has been added to the Pelicans injury report and is now questionable for Wednesday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls due to lower back spasms, while Jrue Holiday will miss a second straight game with a strained left elbow. Williams has assumed a diminished role in the rotation of late, and he was limited to just nine minutes of action even with Holiday sidelined for Monday’s loss. If he’s unable to suit up, Nicolo Melli could see the floor for the first time in four games, but it seems nearly as likely that head coach Alvin Gentry would distribute that minimal amount of vacated playing time throughout the existing members of the regular rotation. Surprisingly, no one Pelicans player sees a substantial increase in usage or production with Holiday off the court, but other than Josh Hart, it’s been Brandon Ingram that has benefitted the most, as he has a 31.0% usage rate, a 25.8% assist rate, and is averaging 1.34 DraftKings and 1.27 FanDuel points per minute in a 346.7 minutes sample size.
As reported by: Pelicans PR via TwitterMarcus Morris (neck) doubtful Wednesday; Mitchell Robinson (toe) and Kevin Knox (ankle) probable
Morris has officially been listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz due to a sore neck that has already forced him to miss one game, while Mitchell Robinson and Kevin Know are probable with their respective ailments. With Morris sidelined for Tuesday’s blowout loss, Reggie Bullock ended up receiving his first start of the season at small forward, and he was rather mediocre from a fantasy perspective in 27 minutes of action. Knox also saw 19 minutes off the bench in this contest, but that total is likely slightly inflated with him being on the court for the final six minutes of the fourth quarter in garbage time. Even if Knox draws the start at power forward in place of Julius Randle this evening, Bobby Portis figures to be the main beneficiary of additional playing time, and he has a 21.5% usage rate while averaging 1.00 DraftKings and 0.97 FanDuel points per minute with Morris and Randle off the court this season.

As reported by: Chris Forsberg via TwitterJulius Randle (personal) out Wednesday
Randle has officially been ruled out and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz due to personal reasons, while Marcus Morris is doubtful and Mitchell Robinson and Kevin Know are probable with their respective ailments. With Morris sidelined for Tuesday’s blowout loss, Reggie Bullock ended up receiving his first start of the season at small forward, and he was rather mediocre from a fantasy perspective in 27 minutes of action. As reported by: Charlotte Hornets PR via TwitterRaptor Relief
At the very least, the Toronto Raptors will be without Pascal Siakam, Marc Gasol and Fred VanVleet again tonight. Norman Powell has yet to make it through a full practice, so he is highly doubtful also. That leaves plenty of minutes to float around for OG Anunoby. His last 2 performances have been poor, but he played 29+ minutes in each game. He draws a solid matchup tonight against Charlotte.
LeBron James (illness) and Avery Bradley (ankle) will play Tuesday
As expected, James will play in Tuesday’s matchup against the New York Knicks after head coach Frank Vogel referred to him as a game-time decision due to an illness, while Bradley was also cleared to play despite dealing with a sprained right ankle. There haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction for James, so he’ll almost certainly attempt to play his full allotment of minutes as long as he isn’t too hampered by his aforementioned ailment. James continues to have the better price tag of the two Lakers stars on FanDuel compared to Anthony Davis cheaper salary on DraftKings, and James still leads the team with a 31.7% usage rate, a 48.7% assist rate, and is averaging 1.54 DraftKings and 1.50 FanDuel points per minute thus far on the season.
As reported by: Kyle Goon via Twitter Other tagged players: Avery BradleyMarcus Morris (neck) and Dennis Smith Jr. (oblique) officially out Tuesday
As expected, Morris and Smith Jr. won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers due to their respective ailments, while Elfrid Payton is back with the team and will play after missing one game due to personal reasons. In Morris’ absence, either Reggie Bullock or Kevin Knox should receive the start at small forward, but Bullock has clearly been ahead of Knox in the rotation of late and logged 25 minutes in Sunday’s loss. With Payton and Dennis Smith Jr. sidelined for Sunday’s loss, Frank Ntilikina received the start at point guard and was mediocre for fantasy purposes in just over 28 minutes of action, while Kadeem Allen stepped into the backup point role logged 20 minutes with the second unit. Prior to his absence, Payton had recorded at least 30 minutes in four of the Knicks previous five games, so he’ll remain in consideration for tournament formats on most daily fantasy slates, as he owns an 18.1% usage rate, a 32.9% assist rate, and is averaging 1.01 DraftKings and 1.02 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.
As reported by: NY_KnicksPR via Twitter Other tagged players: Dennis Smith Jr.Richaun Holmes (shoulder) and Marvin Bagley III (foot) officially out Tuesday
As expected, Holmes will join Bogdan Bogdanovic on the Kings’ inactive list for Tuesday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns due to a strained right shoulder, while Marvin Bagley III will remain sidelined because of a sprained left foot. With Holmes and Bagley unavailable, Sacramento will be extremely thin in the frontcourt and will result in Harry Giles III receiving his first start of the season after logging at least 15 minutes off the bench in three of the previous five games. In Bogdanovic’s absence, Trevor Ariza has been up-and-down for fantasy purposes, but he has played at least 32 minutes off the bench and has even closed ahead of Nemanja Bjelicia with the regular starters in two straight contests. No one Kings player has separated himself from the rest with Holmes, Bagley, and Bogdanovic off the court together this season, but De’Aaron Fox does have a 34.0% usage rate, a 31.6% assist rate, and is averaging 1.14 DraftKings and 1.05 FanDuel points per minute in a 71.7 minutes sample size.
As reported by: James Ham via Twitter Other tagged players: Marvin BagleyTristan Thompson (illness) will start Tuesday
As expected, Thompson has officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Tuesday’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons after missing one game due to an illness, while Dante Exum, Kevin Porter Jr., and Larry Nance Jr. were all previously ruled out with their respective ailments. There haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction for Thompson, so he’ll presumably be fine to assume his normal role as the starting center, which will send Ante Zizic back to the bench to following his phenomenal fantasy performance in 25 minutes of action in Sunday’s loss. Following Porter’s exit from Sunday’s loss, Exum and Brandon Knight went on to play a large portion of the second half, which should allow Knight to assume the third guard role that had belonged to Porter and Jordan Clarkson prior to being traded.
As reported by: Rod Beard via TwitterDante Exum (illness) out Tuesday
Exum is a surprise scratch and will join Kevin Porter Jr. and Larry Nance Jr. on the Cavaliers’ inactive list for Tuesday’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons due to an illness, while Tristan Thompson is expected to play after missing one game with an illness. There haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction for Thompson, so he’ll presumably be fine to assume his normal role as the starting center, which will send Ante Zizic back to the bench to following his phenomenal fantasy performance in 25 minutes of action in Sunday’s loss. As reported by: Spencer Davies via TwitterC.J. McCollum (illness) available to play Tuesday
McCollum has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors after missing one game due to an illness. Unsurprisingly, head coach Terry Stotts didn’t disclose if McCollum would be subject to a minute restriction in his return to the starting lineup, but his presence will still send Gary Trent Jr. back to the bench to assume a reserve role following his dismal fantasy performance in just 17 minutes as a starter in Sunday’s loss. If McCollum isn’t hindered by his aforementioned ailment, he’ll be in consideration for tournament formats on tonight’s six-game slate, per usual, at his current price tag across the industry, and he continues to have a 25.9% usage rate and is averaging 1.00 DraftKings and 0.97 FanDuel points per minute on the season thus far.
