Risk/Reward GPP Options
Orlando has had to adjust their style of play with both Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic sidelined. Jonathan Isaac has picked up the slack but now carries a high DFS price tag. I’m more interested in risk/reward options like Fournier and Ross in GPP formats. Given their price tags and a matchup against the Raptors, there won’t be much ownership here. However, CourtIQ shows that Fournier has a 3.6% usage bump with the two bigs off the floor, and Ross has a 1.2% usage bump. The production will be hit or miss since both are scoring dependent, but someone needs to score for this team. There’s upside here.

In my eyes, most lineups should start with one of the two Laker studs tonight. The Wizards have been a haven for opposing production this year, as they are playing at a brisk pace and rank near the bottom of the league in most defensive metrics. James and Davis both had big games in New Orleans the other night, and similar good times should happen tonight against a bad defense. A prototypical triple-double could be in the works for LBJ, while Davis has 30/20 upside in a favorable matchup.
Other tagged players: Anthony DavisDraymond Green (heel) will start Wednesday
As expected, Green has been cleared to play and will start in Wednesday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls after missing three games due to a sore right heel. With Green returning to the starting lineup, Ky Bowman will head back to the bench to resume a quasi reserve role following a couple of stellar fantasy performances in an average of 35.7 minutes per game while Green was sidelined. However, Bowman should still see substantial run with Golden State still having just nine healthy bodies available this evening. Greens’ price remains depressed on DraftKings, so he’ll be a viable option on tonight’s 14-game slate as long as he isn’t on a minute restriction in his first game back.
As reported by: Anthony Slater via TwitterJosh Hart (ankle) available to play Wednesday
Hart has officially been upgraded from questionable and is available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing seven games due to a sprained left ankle. There’s been no word of a minute restriction for Hart, so he’ll likely absorb a large portion of Lonzo Ball’s vacated minutes at the guard positions. The absence of Derrick Favors will allow Jaxson Hayes to continue starting at center, but he has seen his minute floor dissipate over the Pelicans’ recent contests, logging more than 30 minutes just twice in the previous six games. Even with Jahlil Okafor available, Hayes will still be a viable tournament target on tonight’s 14-game main slate since he is averaging 0.89 DraftKings and 0.94 FanDuel points thus far on the season, but his range of outcomes certainly becomes more volatile with an extra big man back in the fold.
As reported by: Pelicans PR via TwitterTreveon Graham (forearm) and Josh Okogie (knee) available to play Wednesday
As expected, Graham and Okogie will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs despite dealing with their respective ailments, while Shabazz Napier continues to be sidelined with a strained right hamstring, even though the Timberwolves insist on listing him as doubtful prior to every game. Treveon Graham returned to the starting lineup in Monday’s win, but he was only allotted 23 minutes and was rather underwhelming for fantasy purposes as can usually be projected. In fact, the only players that eclipsed the 30-minute mark in that contest were Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Jeff Teague, so it appears as if Teague’s minute floor won’t be affected by head coach Ryan Saunders’ decision to move him to the bench as long as he continues closing games on a consistent basis.
As reported by: Timberwolves PR via Twitter Other tagged players: Josh OkogieLonzo Ball (illness) out Wednesday
Ball has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers due to an illness, while Josh Hart remains questionable with a sprained left ankle, and if he’s able to return, he’d absorb nearly all of the Ball’s vacated playing time on the wing.
As reported by: Will Guillory via TwitterJa Morant (back) available to play Wednesday; Kyle Anderson (heel) ruled out
Morant has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers despite dealing with a sore back, while Anderson won’t be able to suit up because of a sore right heel. Anderson seemed to settle into a role in low-20s in terms of minutes of late, logging at least 21 minutes in four of the Grizzlies’ previous five games, so there will certainly be a substantial amount of playing time available at the wing positions with Anderson sidelined this evening.
As reported by: Grizzlies PR via Twitter Other tagged players: Kyle AndersonKevin Love (back) will start Wednesday
Love has officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Wednesday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic after missing two games due to a lower back contusion. There haven’t been any reports to suggest Love will be subject to a minute restriction in his return to the starting lineup, so he’ll presumably be a full-go, which will relegate Larry Nance Jr. back to the bench to resume a reserve role following a couple of stellar fantasy performances in an average of 32.9 minutes per game while Love was sidelined. Love remains appropriately priced across the fantasy industry, but he’s still putting together a solid season for a porous Cavaliers’ squad, as he is averaging 1.21 DraftKings and 1.14 FanDuel points per minute thus far on the year.
As reported by: James Rapien via TwitterJustise Winslow (concussion) will play off the bench Wednesday
As expected, Winslow has been cleared to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Houston Rockets after missing three weeks due to concussion symptoms, while Jimmy Butler will officially be unavailable because of an illness. Head coach Erik Spoelstra still wouldn’t confirm who would replace Butler in the starting lineup, but it won’t be Winslow, as Miami has opted to ease him back in with a currently unspecified minute restriction. With Winslow limited and Butler sidelined, Goran Dragic should theoretically have a significantly higher minute floor than normal, even if he comes off the bench, and he owns a 27.2% usage rate, 33.8% assist rate, and is averaging 1.17 DraftKings and 1.08 FanDuel points per minute with Butler off the court this season.
As reported by: Ira Winderman via TwitterDeAndre Bembry (hip) available to play Wednesday
As expected, Bembry will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks despite dealing with right hip contusion. while Trae Young, De’Andre Hunter, and Cam Reddish are also good to go following their original probable designations on the injury report. Reddish made his return to the starting lineup in Monday’s loss and was able to log 29 minutes of action after a two-game layoff. This caused Bembry’s playing time to plummet, and he only managed to record 16 minutes off the bench in head coach Lloyd Pierce’s suddenly crowded wing rotation now that Allen Crabbe and Evan Turner are both healthy and seeing minutes on a nightly basis.
As reported by: the Atlanta Hawks via TwitterGeorge Hill (back) officially out Wednesday
As expected, Hill won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks due to a sore back that has now forced him to miss two games. Meanwhile, head coach Mike Budenholzer disclosed to reporters that he will likely bring Khris Middleton off the bench for a couple of games while he is subject to his unspecified minute restriction. When Khris Middleton was sidelined, Budenholzer really extended his bench at the guard and wing positions with Sterling Brown, Kyle Korver, and Pat Connaughton absorbing substantial playing behind Wesley Matthews and Donte DiVincenzo, while Hill had been logging minutes in the high-teens or low-20s as a backup guard. This amount of depth will make it easy for Budenholzer to disperse Hill’s vacated minutes, especially with Middleton making his return to the lineup this evening.
As reported by: Matt Velazquez via TwitterRudy Gobert (ankle) will start Wednesday
Gobert has officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Wednesday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers after missing two games due to a sprained left ankle. There hasn’t been an inclination from the Jazz or head coach Quin Snyder that Gobert will be subject to a minute restriction in his first game back, so he’ll presumably be a full-go and return to the starting lineup, which means Tony Bradley will head to the bench to resume a reserve role following a couple of solid fantasy performances in an average of 22.6 minutes per game with Gobert sidelined. Jeff Green also saw an uptick in playing time in these two contests as the small-ball center, but he’ll also return to his usual role and is unlikely to see more than 20 minutes of action moving forward with Gobert and the rest of Jazz frontcourt healthy and active.
As reported by: Andy Larsen via TwitterClint Capela (illness) out Wednesday
Capela has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat due to an illness. Head coach Mike D’Antoni already confirmed that Tyson Chandler will receive the start at the center position in tonight’s contest, but his season-high in minutes is just 25, so it’d be unrealistic to expect him to be allotted anything more than 16-22 minutes this evening. Isaiah Hartenstein will also be available to absorb any leftover playing time at the five in traditional lineup combinations, but he’s also unlikely to see substantial run with D’Antoni’s propensity to utilize small-ball lineups for extended stretches of the game.
As reported by: Jonathan Feigen via TwitterC.J. Miles (wrist) listed out Wednesday
Miles has been listed out on the Wizards’ injury report for Wednesday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns due to a left wrist injury, while Ian Mahinmi will remain sidelined with a strained right Achilles tendon. Miles minutes have been sporadic as a member of the Wizards’ second unit, to say the least, but he did manage to record 21 minutes in garbage time of Tuesday’s loss, so there will be some semblance of available playing time on the wing this evening. However, it’s unlikely one specific player benefits from a significant increase in minutes with Isaac Bonga being recalled from the G-League earlier in the week.
As reported by: NBA Official Injury ReportDraymond Green (heel) now listed probable Wednesday
Green has been upgraded to probable on the latest version of the Warriors’ injury report for Wednesday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls due to a sore heel that has already forced him to miss three games. With Green trending towards a return to the starting lineup, Ky Bowman would more than likely head back to the bench to resume a quasi reserve role following a couple of stellar fantasy performances in an average of 35.7 minutes per game while Green was sidelined, though Bowman should still see substantial run with Golden State still having just nine healthy bodies available this evening. Greens’ price remains depressed on DraftKings, so he’ll be a viable option on tonight’s 14-game slate as long as he isn’t on a minute restriction in his first game back.
