Jakarr Sampson (back) listed out Monday
As expected, Sampson has been listed out on the updated version of the Pacers’ injury report for Monday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies due to a sore back, while Malcolm Brogdon will make his return from a three-game absence stemming from a sore lower back. Head coach Nate McMillan already confirmed during his pregame media availability that Brogdon will start and won’t be subject to a minute restriction in his first game back from injury. This news essentially green lights Brogdon as a near must play on DraftKings, where he is egregiously priced, as he owns a 27.8% usage rate, 39.8% assist rate, and is averaging 1.28 DraftKings and 1.23 FanDuel points per minute on the season.
As reported by: NBA Official Injury ReportKemba Walker (neck) and Daniel Theis (illness) out Monday
As expected, Walker won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings due to a sprained neck, while Theis won’t be available because of an illness. There’s yet to be any confirmation on Theis’ replacement in the starting lineup, but Enes Kanter and Robert Williams are the likeliest candidates. Following Walker’s exit in the second quarter of Friday’s loss, Semi Ojeleye started the second half alongside Theis and Jayson Tatum in the frontcourt, logging 21 minutes, while Brad Wannamaker accrued 27 total minutes of action, 18 of which came in the second half. Other than Wannamaker and his expected increase in playing time, Tatum has actually been the primary beneficiary with Walker and Gordon Hayward off the court, as he owns a 34.8% usage rate and is averaging 1.27 DraftKings and 1.23 FanDuel points per minute in a 150.6 minutes sample size.
As reported by: the Boston Celtics via Twitter Other tagged players: Daniel TheisDaniel Theis (illness) questionable Monday
Theis has been added to the Celtics’ injury report and is questionable for Monday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings due to an illness, while Kemba Walker remains doubtful with a sprained neck.
As reported by: Chris Forsberg via TwitterNobody Likes Jeff Green, But Maybe, Just Maybe, If Rudy Gobert Is Out
Look, nobody likes playing Jeff Green, so let’s use that to our advantage if Rudy Gobert is unable to suit up on Monday. If Gobert does in fact sit, I fully expect the masses to flock to Tony Bradley who started in Gobert’s place on Saturday but ran into foul trouble and only saw 22 minutes of action while Green played the remaining 26 at the 5. Bradley is a strong play but there’s a strong chance he sees the worst end of the playing time split again even if he doesn’t run into foul trouble as Utah’s smaller lineups matchup better against Milwaukee. Green isn’t a strong per minute producer at this stage of his career but can still likes to chuck which gives him some upside for tournaments.
Trevor Ariza (personal) listed out Monday; Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) probable
Ariza is still away from the team and is listed out on the Kings’ injury report for Monday’s matchup against the Boston Celtics due to personal reasons, while Bogdanovic is listed as probable with left hamstring tightness. Bogdanovic returned from a one-game absence in Sunday’s win, and he was relatively serviceable for fantasy purposes in 28 minutes of action off the bench. There’s yet to be any reports of a potential minute restriction for Bogdanovic, and if he is a full-go, he’ll be an intriguing tournament target considering he owns a 27.9% usage rate, 36.1% assist rate, and is averaging 1.32 DraftKings and 1.24 FanDuel points per minute with Ariza, De’Aaron Fox, and Marvin Bagley off the court this season.
As reported by: NBA Official Injury Report Other tagged players: Bogdan BogdanovicHassan Whiteside (hip) will play Monday
As expected, Whiteside confirmed with reporters at Trail Blazers’ shootaround that he will play in Monday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls after missing two games due to a right hip contusion. In his absence, Anthony Tolliver drew the start at the center position in both contests, logging at least 30 minutes in each, but he was out of the rotation entirely for the four games prior, so his role in the rotation seems to be a bit influx moving forward. There has yet to be any report of a potential minute restriction for Whiteside, and he had begun to settle into a high-20s or low-30s minute allotment as part of head coach Terry Stotts’ starting lineup prior to injury, making him an intriguing option on tonight’s slate with his average of 1.23 DraftKings and 1.24 FanDuel points per minute on the season.
As reported by: Jason Quick via TwitterCam Reddish (wrist) upgraded to probable Monday
Reddish was able to go through shootaround and has been upgraded to probable for Monday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing two games due to a sprained left wrist. In his absence, DeAndre Bembry received the starting nod alongside Trae Young in the backcourt in each of the Hawks’ previous two contests, and he was phenomenal from a fantasy perspective in an average of 33.1 minutes over this span. If Reddish isn’t subject to a minute restriction in his likely return, he would be the preferred fantasy option of the two for tonight’s slate because of Bembry’s now elevated price tag across the industry. Reddish has been a bit more consistent with Kevin Huerter and John Collins sidelined, and he is averaging 0.74 DraftKings and 0.71 FanDuel points per minute to go along with a 20.2% usage rate in a 224.4 minutes sample size.
As reported by: Chris Kirschner via TwitterFurkan Korkmaz (ankle) available to play Monday; Kyle O'Quinn (calf) ruled out
Korkmaz has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Monday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors after missing one game due to a sprained left ankle, while O’Quinn won’t be available off the bench because of a strained left calf. O’Quinn rarely sees any substantial playing time when both Joel Embiid and Al Horford are healthy and active, so his absence won’t have any effect on the remaining members of the Sixers frontcourt rotation. As for Korkmaz, he’ll resume his normal bench role with Josh Richardson returning from a two-game absence in Saturday’s blowout win, and those minutes can easily vary from the mid-teens to mid-20s depending on Korkmaz’s effectiveness from beyond the arc and on the defensive end of the floor.
As reported by: Keith Pompey via Twitter Other tagged players: Kyle O'QuinnJahlil Okafor (ankle) available to play Sunday
Okafor has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers after missing five games due to a sprained left ankle, while Josh Hart and Derrick Favors remain sidelined with their respective ailments. This will allow Jaxson Hayes to continue starting at center, but he has seen his minute floor dissipate over the Pelicans’ recent contests, logging more than 30 minutes just twice in the previous five games. Even with Okafor available to make his return, Hayes will still be a viable tournament target on tonight’s main slate since he is averaging 0.94 DraftKings and 1.00 FanDuel points thus far on the season, but his range of outcomes certainly becomes more volatile with an extra big man back in the fold.
As reported by: Will Guillory via TwitterJosh Hart (ankle) out Sunday
Hart will join Derrick Favors among the Pelicans’ inactives and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a sprained left ankle that’s now forced him to miss seven games, while Jahlil Okafor will be a game-time decision because of a sprained left ankle as well. This should allow Jaxson Hayes to continue starting at center, but he has seen his minute floor dissipate over the Pelicans recent contests, logging more than 30 minutes just twice in the previous five games. However, if Okafor is unavailable once again, Hayes will be a viable tournament target on tonight’s main slate since he is averaging 0.94 DraftKings and 1.00 FanDuel points thus far on the season.
As reported by: Daniel Sallerson via TwitterMason Plumlee (headache) available to play Sunday
Plumlee has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Sunday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns despite dealing with a headache. Plumlee has eclipsed the 17-minute mark just once over the previous seven games, so as long as Nikola Jokic is healthy and playing a full complement of minutes, Plumlee won’t be relevant for daily fantasy purposes for the foreseeable future.
As reported by: the Denver Nuggets via TwitterBogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) and Cory Joseph (heel) will play Sunday
Bogdanovic has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Sunday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards after missing two games due to left hamstring tightness, while Joseph will start, as expected, despite dealing with a bruised left heel. It’s difficult to decipher whether Joseph’s limited minutes in Friday’s loss was injury or blowout related, so he may be difficult to trust in daily fantasy formats with both Yogi Ferrell and Justin James receiving first-half minutes in the aforementioned contest. There’s yet to be any reports of a potential minute restriction for Bogdanovic, and if he is a full-go, he’ll be an intriguing tournament target considering he owns a 27.2% usage rate, 37.5% assist rate, and is averaging 1.33 DraftKings and 1.25 FanDuel points per minute with De’Aaron Fox, Trevor Ariza, and Marvin Bagley off the court this season.
As reported by: Jason Anderson via Twitter Other tagged players: Cory JosephMason Plumlee (headache) listed questionable Sunday
Plumlee is a late addition to the Nuggets’ injury report and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns due to a headache. Plumlee has eclipsed the 17-minute mark just once over the previous seven games, so if he’s unable to suit up for tonight’s contest, there won’t be too much of an impact on the remaining members of the frontcourt rotation. Assuming head coach Mike Malone doesn’t expand his rotation in this scenario, Paul Millsap and Jerami Grant would likely absorb most of the backup minutes at the five when Nikola Jokic is off the court, which coincidentally opens up more playing time at the forward positions for Juancho Hernangomez and possibly even Will Barton this evening.
As reported by: NBA Official Injury ReportRJ Barrett (illness) out Sunday; Kevin Knox will start
Barrett is a late scratch from the Knicks starting lineup and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets due to an illness. In his absence, Kevin Knox will be inserted to the starting lineup alongside Marcus Morris on the wing despite logging fewer than 15 minutes off the bench in four of the previous five games. If head coach David Fizdale doesn’t expand the rotation with Barrett unavailable, both Damyean Dotson and Dennis Smith Jr. should theoretically be in line for more playing time with the second unit as well. Knox is cheap enough to be considered as a punt option on tonight’s main slate, but Frank Ntilikina may the better option of the two, as he is averaging 0.95 DraftKings and 0.98 FanDuel points per minute with Barrett off the court this season.
As reported by: NY_KnicksPR via Twitter Other tagged players: Kevin KnoxJosh Hart (ankle) and Jahlil Okafor (ankle) questionable Sunday
Hart and Okafor have been listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to their respective ailments, while Derrick Favors remains sidelined with lower back spasms. Hart’s absence has relegated Lonzo Ball to the bench in each of his first two games since returning from an injury, but there’s yet to be any inclination from head coach Alvin Gentry whether the availability of Hart would change his starting lineup for tonight’s contest.
