Derrick White (glute) available to play Tuesday
White will “probably give it go” in Tuesday’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, according to Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, but he is officially active despite dealing with a right glute contusion. White has consistently been able to see between 24-26 minutes off the bench on a nightly basis with Dejounte Murray on a minute restriction to begin the year, so if he’s limited in any way, it could send a trickle-down effect through the Spurs rotation. If Popovich decides to condense his rotation in this scenario and not distribute minutes to DeMarre Carroll or even Lonnie Walker IV, then players like Bryn Forbes, Patty Mills, and Marco Belinelli could be in line for more playing time this evening.

Steven Adams (knee) and Nerlens Noel (ankle) will play Tuesday
Adams has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic after missing two games with a left knee contusion. Nerlens Noel will also play, as expected, but he’ll almost certainly head back to the bench following two phenomenal fantasy performances in an average of 26 minutes of action in those contests. There’s yet to be any word if Adams will be subject to a minute restriction in his first game back, but if he receives the start, it’d be safe to assume that he should be healthy enough to play his typical minutes allotment in the upper-20s this evening.

As expected, Len will be available to play in Tuesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs despite dealing with a rib contusion on his right side. While the suspension of John Collins is a devastating blow to the Hawks playoff chances in a wide-open Eastern Conference, they did at least receive some good news, as Trae Young will make his return from a two-game absence due to a sprained right ankle. Atlanta is set to begin a back-to-back set tonight, so Young will be limited to 30 minutes, while Kevin Huerter will also have his minute restriction increased to 30 minutes after logging a season-high 26 minutes in Thursday’s loss.

As expected, Kanter won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a rib contusion on his right side. This means that Daniel Theis will more than likely start at the center position once again, and he’s logged at least 27 minutes in each of the Celtics previous two games. However, Robert Williams remains probable and will provide some depth in the frontcourt that could hinder the stable minute floor Theis has had while he was sidelined.

Despite both players participating in Pacers shootaround, Sabonis and Turner won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets due to their respective ailments. With Turner and Sabonis unavailable for Sunday’s win, Goga Bitadze and Jakarr Sampson ended up drawing the starts at center and power forward, respectively, but they each were limited to fewer than 20 minutes of action. Bitadze has easily been the more productive of the two in his limited playing, and he is currently averaging 1.14 FanDuel and 1.05 DraftKings per minute this season.

The San Antonio – Atlanta game has the highest point total of the night at 221, and with John Collins being declared out this morning due to a drug suspension, the entire Hawks offense should get a bump in value. One player I’ll be targeting for GPP purposes is Atlanta’s leading scorer, Trae Young. Young has looked tremendously improved in his first four games, raising his scoring average to 26.8 ppg from 19.1 ppg last season, and raising his FG% from 41.8% last year to 50.7% so far this season. There is some risk here with Young returning from injury, but for GPPs Young should be a prime target.
Justise Winslow (back) and Derrick Jones Jr. (groin) expected to be available Tuesday
Winslow and Jones Jr. went through Heat shootaround this morning and are expected to be available to play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Denver Nuggets, though head coach Erik Spoelstra did admit to reporters that Jones’ status is a bit more unclear at the moment. Spoelstra has been notorious in the past for declaring a player active an ready to go, only for them to receive a DNP-CD in their first game back from an injury layoff, so it wouldn’t be shocking if this ends up being the case with Jones this evening. The projected return of Winslow to the starting lineup will almost certainly send Duncan Robinson back to the bench, but the extent of his role remains unclear, as he recorded two minutes in the only game both Winslow and Jimmy Butler were available this season.

Jeremy Lamb returns to Charlotte to face his former team, and his revenge narrative could be accentuated if two of the Pacers’ other main offensive pieces – Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis – miss tonight’s game. Lamb has had a very good first season with Indiana, averaging a career high in points (16.8 ppg) and rebounds (6.8 rpg). The Pacers are favored by 3.5 points tonight on the road, and Lamb’s appeal as a GPP play will only increase if Turner and Sabonis both miss the game.
Avery Bradley (leg) out Tuesday; Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will start
Bradley has officially bee downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls due to a lower right leg contusion. In his absence, Caldwell-Pope will receive the starting nod alongside Danny Green on the wing, and he’s consistently played between 20-28 minutes per game off the bench this season, depending on situation and game flow, so his minute floor should be relatively stable as a member of the starting unit. Whether Caldwell-Pope can capitalize on that floor for fantasy purposes is another question entirely, as he owns just a 14.4% usage rate and is averaging 0.56 FanDuel and 0.58 DraftKings points per minute in 144.4 minutes sample size thus far on the year.

Carter-Williams was originally listed as questionable on the Magic’s injury report, but head coach Steve Clifford disclosed at shootaround that he expects Carter-Williams to be available for Tuesday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder after missing two games with a left hip contusion. Prior to his injury, Carter-Williams was averaging just 14.8 minutes per contest, so his likely return won’t have too much of an impact to the backcourt rotation, but it does add another ball-handling option behind Markelle Fultz and D.J. Augustin, both of whom, have essentially split the point guard minutes in the early going, even with Fultz drawing his first start of the season in Saturday’s loss.

I don’t think the upside is there for GPPs with Fultz, but at the bargain price tags he is a great cash play. He has seen, and should continue to see, around 25 minutes per game, and he is taking 8.8 field goals per game and has his FG% up to a respectable 47%. We want studs like LeBron and Davis in our cash game lineup, and the only way to do that is find guys in this cheap price range that can get us 18-22 fantasy points. Fultz qualifies tonight.
Soaring Hawk Shot Down
With the suspension of John Collins, Atlanta will have to turn to guys like Jabari Parker and Alex Len to do more for the foreseeable future. Parker has always been a solid fantasy contributor when given minutes. He checks in with low enough price tags around each site that he is on the radar for cash games tonight.
