Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to play
Giannis Antetokounmpo will play tonight, which takes a little bit of luster off of the Bucks backups, but I wouldn’t expect a full compliment of minutes out of Giannis, considering that the Bucks are likely to have the game well in hand and don’t particularly need to win the game anyway.

Jordan McRae is OUT, Jabari Parker remains a game time decision
Jordan McRae missing is actually kind of a big deal since he got 28 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday and 15 minutes against the Spurs on Friday. This is unlikely to mean additional run for Beal or Satoransky who have been somewhat limited of late, but could mean more for Chasson Randle. Parker’s availability could put him into consideration of his own accord, and also take away from Bobby Portis a bit.

Dennis Smith is available off the bench, but the real news here is that Mario Hezonja is getting another start at point guard. He has been on an absolute tear, and without a huge price increase, has to be in consideration as one of the better value plays on the slate.

Minimal Celtics shenanigans today, and despite being listed as doubtful on the 5:30 PM (ET) injury report Jaylen Brown will play, as will Al Horford. This makes the Celtics a good bet to win their game against Orlando but doesn’t do much for the individual Celtics as value plays. Horford is in consideration as a decent play as he’ll be needed, but Brown is more of problem for Gordon Hayward’s production than he is an interesting DFS play in his own right. Brad Stevens also indicated that Brown may be on a minute restriction, although it’s unclear what that number will be as of now.

Andre Iguodala won’t play tonight, which doesn’t have much DFS impact but we can obviously avoid him if we weren’t already. Perhaps slightly more ball handling opportunities for Draymond Green when playing primarily with 2nd unit players or in garbage time.

Kevin Huerter is now probable to play, which muddles the Hawks wings even further. He may be of some cursory interest but now the picture is less clear on the De’Andre Bembery, Kent Bazemore, Taurean Prince types.

This is pretty much what everyone was expecting, but good to get the confirmation. Ivan Rabb and Delon Wright likely benefit the most, but Memphis has been a source of value for a while now and the algorithms have caught up, pricing both of them up to the point where you now have to think about rostering them. Wright has tremendous upside while Rabb is more of a steady producer, but both are in consideration today.

Gallinari is usually a decent if not excellent source of fantasy production, but his absence may not have as much DFS impact as might usually be expected, as the Clippers are not expected to keep the game competitive against a Warriors squad that is at full strength and as of now not expected to rest any starters until the game is well in hand.

Blake Griffin will start and the Hornets don’t have a player on their roster that can guard him. He is a very good play, with this confirmation coming with one minute until lock.
As reported by: Detroit Pistons Darren Collison is expected to play
With Collison now in and Evans now out, and especially with a short rotation for the Pacers, Collison is squarely in play as a high usage ball handler that should see a good amount of minutes against one of the softer defenses in the NBA. Collison will also likely not be on the radar of most DFS players after having missed a number games due to injury, so this is an opportunity to get him at lower than normal ownership.

The Bucks injury report will be one to watch, as they cannot improve their position and are facing a team that wasn’t good to begin with and will be missing at least its two best players in Trae Young and John Collins. If the Bucks decide to rest a number of regulars, guys like Pat Connaughton could become very solid value plays with much more opportunity than they would typically have against a soft defense.

You can now solidify Tyus Jones minutes at PG and also potentially look to Dario Saric for serviceable production at the 4, especially with Steven Adams likely to make some trouble for Karl-Anthony Towns. Russell Westbrook also won’t see much resistance on his drives to the basket with Gibson not around to protect the rim.

The Spurs should be a decent source of fantasy production against the Cavs, but pinpointing exactly who will get that production is a bit tougher. Belinelli being available muddles the situation even further, as he is a willing to shoot just about anything in his limited minutes off the bench. This will limit other second unit Spurs staples, such as Patty Mills and Davis Bertans.
Richaun Holmes is listed as doubtful
We know that Josh Jackson is already getting all the minutes and usage he can handle is an obviously good play, but with Holmes doubtful, may I introduce you to the Suns new dynamic front court duo of Dragan Bender and Ray Spalding? Both big men had absolutely phenomenal games on Friday’s clash with the Pelicans, and are in consideration here if we get confirmation that Holmes will be unable to go.
