Tyreke Evans is expected to play
Tyreke Evans will be in the starting lineup (previously was listed as questionable) along side Cory Joseph. The pair can make for some good value in the Pacers backcourt, although beware that Edmond Sumner and Aaron Holiday are also expected to see run according to Coach McMillan. The salary you save will not be without some risk of its own.
As reported by: Indiana PacersKyle Korver (knee) out Monday
Korver is a new addition to the Jazz’s injury report and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets due to a sore knee, while Derrick Favors was already previously ruled out with back spasms he began experiencing during Friday’s win. Following his exit, Jae Crowder joined the starting lineup at power forward to begin the second half and logged 28 minutes of action, making him the leading candidate to receive the starting nod in Favors place this evening. This will also allow Ekpe Udoh to enter the rotation as the nominal backup behind Rudy Gobert at center, while Thabo Sefolosha, Royce O’Neale, and possibly even Georges Niang will absorb whatever playing time Korver would have been allotted in tonight’s contest.

Per Coach Drew, Kevin Love won’t play tonight against the Suns. In a shootaround interview Drew noted that there would be “no Kevin” tonight, so we should see plenty of Larry Nance with Tristan Thompson, Marquese Chriss and Ante Zizic both options to see more time against a leaky Suns front-court. Phoenix has been a sieve to opposing bigs all year, so this is a nice spot for the Cleveland bigs. Both the Cavs and Suns are ranked towards the very bottom of the league in defensive efficiency.

Andre Drummond makes a lot of sense as a tournament play. First, we have the matchup (which is not ideal) against an Indiana team that plays at a slower pace and also has a good defense. Then we have the fact that Drummond’s price has increased a ton. The reason he is a great play in GPPs is that with Blake Griffin out the last two games, he has had 60 or more fantasy points while playing 38 minutes in both games. All of this leads me to believe he should come in at lower ownership, which is why I like him in tournaments.
The Only Big Left
Rudy Gobert is one of my favorite spend-up options tonight. He gets to face off against a Hornets team that struggles to contain bigs inside. Also with Favors out, Gobert should see a nice usage bump and all the minutes he can handle. I really think that a lot of people will want to spend up at point guard, which may leave the center a little lower owned than he should be in tournaments.
Pay Up For Usage
Ben Simmons is someone I will be heavily on tonight in GPPs, as with Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler sitting out tonight, he should get all the usage he can handle. I love targeting point guards on DK specifically that have small forward eligibility. So with this slate having a bunch of good guards, I will be playing Simmons in the small forward spot in most of my lineups.
Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable
Jaylen Brown (back) listed as questionable for tonight- if he were unable to go this could lead to some additional peripherals for Gordon Hayward on the Celtics second unit. His defensive presence would also make things easier for the Heat’s second unit to score, so if you were considering someone like Dwyane Wade, you’ll want to keep an eye on the status of Brown.
As reported by: John KaralisOG Anunoby is listed as questionable
OG Anunoby listed as questionable, Patrick McCaw listed OUT. Neither has much of a DFS impact unless a bunch of other Raptors are sitting, which at this point does not appear to be the case.
As reported by: Blake MurphyRichaun Holmes is expected to play
Richaun Holmes and Josh Jackson are available to play tonight for the Suns. With DeAndre Ayton out, Holmes could be in line for some big minutes and more usage, although everyone on this offense will play second fiddle to Devin Booker, so temper expectations for scoring. Holmes has averaged 1.20 FPPM over the last month with Ayton off the floor, while Booker owns a 1.37 FPPM mark over that stretch – both are strong plays in all formats.
As reported by: Ashley NevelKevin Love is listed as questionable
Kevin Love (shoulder) is listed as questionable- if he ends up not going, Larry Nance could see big minutes in his stead, with some additional glass work available for Tristan Thompson.
Tyreke Evans is listed as questionable
Tyreke Evans (knee) listed questionable- with Collison and Matthews already out, the Pacers could be very light on ball handlers and shooters today. Evans is definitely one to watch here, since he would be a potential value play if he’s able to go, but we will need to monitor his status.
As reported by: NBA Injury ReportTony Snell has been ruled out
Tony Snell is out, and we’ll need to keep an eye on the status of Khris Middleton. With lots of moving parts on the Bucks starting lineup and the fact that they rested a ton of players yesterday, this will be a situation to watch all day.
As reported by: NBA Injury ReportFanDuel Punt Option
Darren Collison has been ruled out for tonight’s game, which opens up some interesting value for the Pacers. With point guard and shooting guard pretty loaded at value, I like Tyreke Evans at small forward on FanDuel. He’s $3,700 so he can be treated like a punt option, and small forward is a nice place to use him. He scored 36, 29, and 21 fantasy points in the three games earlier this month without Collison. He also played at least 20 minutes in each of those three games.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable
Giannis Antetokounmpo will be questionable for tonight’s game with a right ankle sprain. If he were to sit, plenty of usage would be soaked up by the Bucks in the starting lineup, although the Bucks starting lineup is something of a mystery in and of itself. We will need to monitor this situation closely until lock.
As reported by: Brian LewisIncreased Minutes Because Of Injury
With Deandre Ayton out tonight, Richaun Holmes becomes one of the best value plays on DraftKings and FantasyDraft. He’s still very playable over on FanDuel, but I like his price on the other two sites a lot more. Cleveland ranks 29th in defensive real plus minus and 26th in defensive efficiency against centers over the last ten games. With Ayton out, Holmes should play 25+ minutes in this above average matchup.
