Kevin Love (rest) out Wednesday

Love has been added to the Cavaliers’ injury report and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets due to rest as part of his return from injury management plan, while Cedi Osman and Ante Zizic remain listed as questionable with their respective ailments. Love has played in two games since returning from a foot injury that kept him sidelined for 50 games, but he’s yet to log more than 16 minutes in either contest, making his absence a bit less meaningful this evening. The last time Love was rested, Marquese Chriss drew the start alongside Larry Nance in the frontcourt, and he’s been serviceable from a fantasy perspective in an average of 23.1 minutes over the previous three games. There’s been no word of a potential minute restriction for Osman, so he’ll presumably replace Brandon Knight, who logged 16 minutes in his first spot start, in the starting lineup, assuming head coach Larry Drew rolls with Chriss at center once again.

Rodions Kurucs (elbow) out Wednesday

Kurucs has been added to the Nets’ injury report and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a sprained left elbow. The Nets are still without Jared Dudley and Spencer Dinwiddie, so Rondae Hollis-Jefferson appears to be the likeliest candidate to the receive the starting nod at power forward, and he’s typically been seeing minutes in the low-20s off the bench in recent games. Caris LeVert and Shabazz Napier are also in consideration to join the starting lineup, though head coach Kenny Atkinson seems to prefer bringing LeVert off the bench to fill Dinwiddie’s vacated sixth-man role and Napier has been serving as the backup point guard in his absence. Kurucs has played 17 or fewer minutes in two of the last three games, so his absence shouldn’t be expected to drastically alter Atkinson’s frontcourt rotation as a whole this evening.

Andre Iguodala

Andre Iguodala (hamstring) available to play Tuesday

Iguodala has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz after missing one game due to a tight left hamstring, while Draymond Green has also been cleared to play despite dealing with a bruised right knee. However, head coach Steve Kerr did disclose that DeMarcus Cousins and Shaun Livingston will be rested for the Warriors second leg of their current back-to-back set on Wednesday evening. The last time Green was sidelined, Jordan Bell ended up drawing the start at power forward, but he was limited to just 19 minutes in his spot start, so he’ll now likely remain out of the rotation with Green active. With Iguodala unavailable for the previous game, Kerr ended up allotting extended run to his starters instead of deferring additional minutes to McKinnie or Jerebko, which allowed Green, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson to all log at least 35 minutes in a tightly-contested win over the Miami Heat on Sunday evening.

Rudy Gay

2/12/19, 8:04 PM ET

Rudy Gay (ankle) and Lonnie Walker (ankle) available to play Tuesday

Gay has officially been upgraded from probable and will be available to play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies after missing one game due to a sprained left ankle, while Walker will also be available off the bench despite originally being ruled out with a sprained right ankle. The return of Gay will presumably send Jakob Poeltl back to the bench to resume a reserve role following a serviceable fantasy performance in 24 minutes of action in Saturday’s loss, which will allow LaMarcus Aldridge and Davis Bertans to slide down to their customary center and power forward positions, respectively. As for Walker, he managed to log 26 minutes in the last game he was active, but the Spurs rested Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan in that contest, so it seems unlikely he’ll be apart of the regular rotation as long as the Spurs are relatively healthy barring some sort of dramatic change in head coach Gregg Popovich’s minute allotments.

Mike Muscala

Mike Muscala (ankle) available to play Tuesday

Muscala has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks despite dealing with a sprained right ankle, while Tyson Chandler was already ruled out and Josh Hart won’t be re-evaluated until after the All-Star Break. LeBron James is also listed as probable once again, but he has played through that same designation in each of the last three games and averaged 33.7 minutes over that span. With Chandler unable to suit up, JaVale McGee will theoretically have a substantially higher minute floor and has already logged at least 26 minutes in each of the Lakers previous two games, which would put him into consideration as one of the top value options on tonight’s five-game slate in a matchup versus an exploitable Hawks frontcourt.

Tyson Chandler (toe) out Tuesday

Chandler has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks due to a sprained right big toe, while Josh Hart has already been ruled out and won’t be re-evaluated until after the All-Star Break. LeBron James is also listed as probable once again, but he has played through that same designation in each of the last three games and averaged 33.7 minutes over that span. With Chandler unable to suit up and Mike Muscala still questionable, JaVale McGee will theoretically have a substantially higher minute floor and has already logged at least 26 minutes in each of the Lakers previous two games, which would put him into consideration as one of the top value options on tonight’s five-game slate in a matchup versus an exploitable Hawks frontcourt.

Mike Conley

Boston Celtics
2/12/19, 7:29 PM ET

Mike Conley (illness) out Tuesday

Conley has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to an illness, while Kyle Anderson remains sidelined for a sixth consecutive game with a sore right shoulder. With Conley unable to suit up, Delon Wright will receive the starting nod at point guard, and he logged 23 minutes off the bench in his Grizzlies debut in Saturday’s loss, despite largely struggling from a fantasy perspective. Additionally, Jonas Valanciunas will be available to make his Grizzlies debut in tonight’s contest, but his upside will be limited with head coach JB Bickerstaff confirming that Ivan Rabb would remain in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future. The availability of Valanciunas means that Joakim Noah will likely see a reduction in playing time following a tremendous fantasy outing in 30 minutes of action in the previous game, and this three-center committee could be a situation to avoid until there’s further clarity on how minutes will be dispersed.

Elfrid Payton

New Orleans Pelicans
2/12/19, 8:16 PM ET

Elfrid Payton (ankle) out Tuesday

Payton has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic due to a sprained right ankle that has now forced him to miss eight consecutive games, while Jahlil Okafor wasn’t included on the Pelicans injury report and will return from a two-game absence stemming from a sprained left ankle. Head coach Alvin Gentry has opted to shake up his starting lineup in the wake of Okafor’s availability, and Okafor will draw the start at center alongside Anthony Davis in the frontcourt, while E’Twaun Moore will start alongside Jrue Holiday in the backcourt, which will send Darius Miller and Frank Jackson back to the bench to resume their reserve roles. Prior to his injury absence, Okafor had been a nice source of value with Davis sidelined, but now that Davis and Julius Randle are back in the fold, it’s difficult to imagine him eclipsing the 20-minute mark this evening.

Mike Conley

2/12/19, 5:45 PM ET

Mike Conley (illness) questionable Tuesday

Conley has been added to the Grizzlies’ injury report and is officially questionable for Tuesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to an illness, while Kyle Anderson remains sidelined for a sixth consecutive game with a sore right shoulder. If Conley is unable to suit up, Delon Wright would more than likely receive the starting nod at point guard, and he logged 23 minutes off the bench in his Grizzlies debut in Saturday’s loss, despite largely struggling from a fantasy perspective. Additionally, Jonas Valanciunas is still hopeful to make his Grizzlies debut in tonight’s contest, but even if he plays, his upside would be limited with head coach JB Bickerstaff confirming that Ivan Rabb would remain in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future. If Valanciunas is eventually cleared, Joakim Noah would likely see a reduction in playing time following a tremendous fantasy outing in 30 minutes of action in the previous game, and this three-center committe could be a situation to avoid until there’s further clarity on how minutes will be dispersed.

Draymond Green

Golden State Warriors
2/12/19, 3:00 PM ET

Draymond Green (knee) listed as questionable Tuesday

Green has been added to the most recent version of the Warriors’ injury report and is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz due to a right knee contusion, while Andre Iguodala remains questionable with a tight left hamstring that has already forced him to miss one game. The Warriors are on the front end of a back-to-back set, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising if one or both of Green and Iguodala were held out of tonight’s contest. The last time Green was sidelined, Jordan Bell ended up drawing the start at power forward, but he was limited to just 19 minutes in his spot start, and Steve Kerr still has plenty of lineup flexibility with Kevon Looney, Jonas Jerebko, and Alfonzo McKinnie all capable of starting alongside DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant in the frontcourt. With Iguodala unavailable for the previous game, Kerr ended up allotting extended run to his starters instead of deferring additional minutes to McKinnie or Jerebko, which allowed Green, Durant, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson to all log at least 35 minutes in a tightly-contested win over the Miami Heat on Sunday evening.

Risk/Reward Upside

Collins has been relatively quiet over the last few games, but don’t sleep on his upside. He was a double double machine in the first part of 2019, and he will eventually get back to those ways. The inconsistent minutes of late are a mild concern, but he could do plenty of damage against the Lakers’ frontcourt even in just 28 minutes of court time. I won’t play him in cash games at his current salary, but there’s 50+ fantasy point potential here, and his ownership might be depressed a bit thanks to game log watchers. Shhhhh…..

Nikola Vucevic

Orlando Magic
2/12/19, 9:37 AM ET

Continuing His Fine Season

The Magic are a nice team to target tonight, as they draw a matchup with a fading Pelicans team that has more strife than happiness at this point. Nikola Vucevic has been a steady bright spot for Orlando all year long, averaging a career best 20 points and 12.5 rebounds per game on the season. Blowouts have limited his court time over the last few games, so he should be fresh and ready to go for this one. Fire him up with confidence as the top center play on the board.
