NBA’s 5:30 Injury Report: Kris Dunn available to play; David Nwaba upgraded from doubtful to questionable. Dunn should be a full-go against a beatable Cavs backcourt, although this game does have one of the lowest totals on the slate. Still, Dunn and Lauri Markkanen are squarely in play on the Chicago side. If Nwaba is able to go, it’ll eat into the intrigue of Blossomgame and Burks, both of whom are looking like strong values in the event that Nwaba can’t go. We should have word on his status shortly given that this one tips at 6:00 ET.

De'Aaron Fox will play and start Sunday
De’Aaron Fox will play and start Sunday, as expected. He figures to step right into his normal role of about 32-36 minutes and is a strong option in any format against the Pelicans.
Darius Miller starting Sunday; Solomon Hill to the bench
Darius Miller starting Sunday, shifting Solomon Hill to the bench. Miller isn’t a recommended DFS option with Julius Randle healthy, as the Pelicans offense remains heavily spread between AD, Jrue Holiday and Randle. Hill is completely off the DFS radar.

Nikola Mirotic will not play tonight, as expected. He was listed as doubtful coming in, and his absence will continue to afford Julius Randle extra run as a starting front-court member alongside Anthony Davis. Both Randle and Davis are elite plays against the Kings, with Jrue Holiday also squarely in play in all formats. NO/SAC is one of the most stackable games on the slate.

Kings coach Dave Joerger says “we’ll see” how De’Aaron Fox’s shoulder feels but “we’re planning on playing him” on Sunday against the Pelicans. It sounds very much like he’ll be in the lineup, and he’s one of the strongest plays at the PG spot in what is expected to be a close, high-scoring affair in California. It’s unlikely Fox is limited in any way if he’s active, so expect something in the 32-36 minute range.

Cameron Payne and Jabari Parker are both available to play Sunday. Payne’s presence figures to knock Antonio Blakeney back out of the rotation, with Payne likely handling 16-20 minutes off the bench. Jabari Parker isn’t likely to see more than 12-14 minutes in his current role, so he’s nowhere near the DFS radar and is more of a small, slightly annoying thorn in the side of Lauri Markkanen. The second-year big has been very boom-or-bust so far since returning to the lineup, but he’s boomed in three of his last four and draws a plus match-up with Cleveland’s front-court here. This isn’t expected to be one of the higher scoring games of the night, but it is expected to stay close. Markkanen and Kris Dunn are both viable options.

Cavs to start Jaron Blossomgame tonight in place of Rodney Hood against the Bulls this evening. It’ll be Blossomgame’s second career start, and with the Cavs currently thin due to the absence of Hood and David Nwaba (doubtful) very likely sitting, Blossomgame could actually approach 30 minutes in this spot. He played exactly 30 minutes in the Cavs blowout loss to the Raptors, but had played at least 20 minutes in the prior two games, both of which were competitive. He’s not a safe floor play, but the upside is there given his asking price. Alec Burks and Jordan Clarkson are also on the radar thanks to Hood’s absence.

Jonathon Simmons is available to play Sunday. It’s likely he works back into his 20-ish minutes a night role, not nearly enough to make him a viable DFS target. Nikola Vucevic is by far the most appealing target on the Miami side, as he has generally performed really well in meetings with Hassan Whiteside. Aaron Gordon is also on the GPP radar.

Al Horford and Marcus Morris are expected to play and start Sunday against the Hornets. Horford is reportedly going to be on a minutes limit, which takes him out of DFS consideration in his first game back with the team since December 6th. His presence does muddy the waters for Robert Williams and Daniel Theis, neither of whom can be trusted on Sunday’s main slate. Marcus Morris is not expected to have his minutes limited, but in a suddenly crowded Boston rotation, it’s tough to feel confident targeting him here.

After missing last nights game with an illness, John Wall is in the starting lineup on Sunday. With the majority of the Wizards players logging a ton of minutes in a triple overtime game with the Suns, the addition of Wall would be a welcomed site. The matchup vs The Pacers is not ideal as the team has one of the best defensive ratings in the league.

Tyreke Evans (bruised right knee) is out
The Indiana Pacers will be without key bench player Tyreke Evans for the second consecutive game on Sunday. Without Evans on Friday, Aaron Holiday played 12 minutes off the bench, clearing the way for usage monster Victor Oladipo to post 50 DraftKings points for the second time in the last week. Myles Turner also stepped up his game in the absence of Evans by posting 48 DraftKings points in 36 minutes. The Pacers will have a favorable matchup against a Wizards team that played a triple overtime game last night.

Alex Len to start in place of John Collins on Sunday. The Hawks won’t really have any depth at the C spot with Len and Dedmon both in the starting five, so foul trouble could lead to Atlanta playing smaller lineups later in this game. Regardless whether it’s Len or Dedmon tracking Blake Griffin, Blake will have a massive advantage and should be an integral part of your early slate builds. Len himself is a viable DFS target on this slate in any format given his per-minute upside, and Dedmon is also squarely in play.

Nance has been thriving since being thrust into the starting lineup due to the injury to Tristan Thompson. Even though the initial thoughts seemed to lean away from Nance as a part of the rotation, his superb play has forced the hands of the coaching staff otherwise and he has since rewarded us with outstanding fantasy point production. As a result his price has risen across the industry, but I think it’s still incredibly affordable and has a lot of profit potential. Fire up Nance with confidence on an unusual 9 game Sunday slate.
JaVale McGee out of hospital, won't play Sunday
JaVale McGee who has been sick since the 13th of December is now out of the hospital but will miss today. Tyson Chandler and Ivica Zubac will continue to play in his absence thus making it harder to point to one guy in terms of clear value. It’s worth noting that Zubac drew the last start vs The Pelicans on Friday logging double-double in 27 minutes of action. McGee is hopeful to return to action on Christmas Day.
