Harrison Barnes, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Powell, Dennis Smith Jr. all listed out Wednesday
The Dallas Mavericks are in full tank mode, as Harrison Barnes, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Powell, Dennis Smith Jr. will all sit Wednesday against the Magic. The most popular play on the Mavericks today, will be J.J. Barea. The Magic are one of the worst teams in the NBA at defending the point guard. Maxi Kleber will also be popular, he has scored over 25 FDP in two out of his last three games. Other Mavs in play today include Aaron Harrison, Yogi Ferrell, and Dorian Finney-Smith. On Fan Duel the Mavs have only one player that will play over $5.0K.

There is all sorts of value out there tonight and Davis is clearly the top play on the board. He’s miles ahead of the pack in a game that the Pelicans still need to win. The only risk is a potential blowout against the tanking Grizzlies, but Davis could still put up 60 fantasy points in three quarters. Just find a way to play him.
Don't Forget About a Great Mid-Range Play
I wrote Covington up yesterday and will do so again here. Statistically, he is the biggest beneficiary from both Saric and Embiid being sidelined. However, Saric is going to return tonight, so that will have everyone scrambling to other options. I still like the matchup here against a weak Cleveland defense, and Covington put up a solid all-around line of 12 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three blocks in just 26 minutes last night. He wasn’t needed for more in a blowout win, and he will be out there for his defense this evening. Don’t forget about him even with Saric returning.
Significant GPP Upside Awaits
The season may be ending for the Pistons, but that is not stopping Stan Van Gundy from giving his primary players a lot of minutes. Reggie Jackson is coming off a fantastic game over the weekend, a contest in which he attempted 22 shots and 13 free throws. He has logged at least a 30% usage rate in four straight games, and his usage was 44% in that last game. He’s getting the minutes down the stretch and should be a fine option against the Sixers here.
Welcome to April NBA
We have all sorts of value on the slate tonight, so let’s start with Dallas. Both Powell and Nowitzki are out this evening, and Harrison Barnes is also going to rest for good measure. That will have the team very thin at the forward positions, so Kleber should push for 32-35 minutes here. Kleber isn’t the most exciting fantasy option, but he’s dirt cheap, he’s staring at heavy minutes, and the Mavericks are facing an awful Orlando defense. That’s good enough for me on the value front.
Increased Minutes Tonight
With Dennis Smith Jr. already ruled out for tonight’s game, Barea becomes one of the top tournament values on the slate. Smith Jr. missed two games towards the end of March, and Barea played 28 and 29 minutes in each of those two games. Orlando ranks 26th in defensive efficiency against point guards and 24th against shooting guards. It doesn’t matter which position Barea ends up playing tonight, he has a great matchup, and with the increased minutes, he has a lot of upside. The Mavericks are in full tank mode, and that’s the only reason I would target him more in tournaments.
The Risky Cheap Play On This Team
I hate playing Memphis and this is the third guy I’ve written up as a salary play for them tonight. McLemore is a very scoring dependent player, which makes him the riskier play out of this Memphis group. Against Portland with everyone out except for Selden (he’s out tonight along with everyone else), McLemore played 29 minutes, and eight of those minutes came in the fourth quarter of a game that wasn’t very close. Memphis receives the second biggest bump in pace tonight, and their implied team total is three points higher than their season average.
Increased Role Tonight
Memphis presents the best value on the slate tonight, and it’s likely going to blow up in my face but I’m still going to play these guys. Parsons, Selden, Green, Evans, Harrison, and Conley are already ruled out for tonight’s game, and that presents a lot of minutes and usage to go around. Brooks actually receives the biggest bump, which makes him my favorite player to target on this team. He has a 36.5% usage rate which is a 17.5% usage bump on his season average, and he’s averaging 1.18 fantasy points per minutes. Brooks is the most frustrating player to roster, but I’m going to play him in this great matchup with everyone out.
Increased Opportunity Because Of Injury
I hate playing anyone from Memphis, but I’m attacking the value on this team. With five guys already ruled out for tonight’s game, there is plenty of minutes available in the highest implied total on the slate. Martin has played at least 30 minutes in eight of the last ten games. With the guys off the floor that are already ruled out, Martin has a 28.2% usage rate which is a 9.9% usage bump on his season average. It’s a small sample size, but it’s something we can at least look at this late in the season.
Update: Alex Len now available to play Tuesday
After initially being ruled out on Tuesday, Alex Len is available to play on Tuesday against the Kings. Len isn’t a recommended play for tonight because his minutes are unstable.
As reported by: Gerald Bourguet via TwitterDanilo Gallinari ruled out Tuesday
Danilo Gallinari won’t play tonight against the Spurs. He re-injured his hand last time out. With Gallinari out, Wes Johnson will re-enter the Clippers rotation, but he isn’t a DFS target.
As reported by: Tomer Azarly via TwitterDirk Nowitzki and Dwight Powell will play Tuesday
Dirk Nowitzki and Dwight Powell will both play Tuesday against the Blazers after being questionable. Neither player is a DFS option on this large slate.
As reported by: Bobby Karalla via TwitterBrook Lopez will play Tuesday
Brook Lopez will play Tuesday against the Jazz, he was questionable with a back injury. Lopez is a fade tonight because of the tough match-up with Utah. Lopez is coming off a fantasy dud against the Kings.
As reported by: Kyle Goon via TwitterDevin Booker, Alex Len, Elfrid Payton, and Alex Len all officially ruled out Tuesday
Nothing new here, Devin Booker, Alex Len, Elfrid Payton, and Alex Len all continue to be out for the Suns. Danuel House, Josh Jackson, Marquese Chriss, and Tyler Ulis are the players to target for the Suns tonight. House played a season high 34 minutes last game, and finished with 33.7 FDP.
As reported by: Suns via Twitter Other tagged players: Alex Len, Elfrid Payton, TJ WarrenNicolas Batum will play Tuesday, be limited to around 20 minutes
Nicolas Batum play tonight against the Bulls and be limited to around 20 minutes. Batum was originally ruled out earlier in the day, then upgraded to questionable. With the minutes limit Batum isn’t a DFS target tonight. Jeremy lamb and Malik Monk lose some of their value, but still should get a ton of minutes with Batum limited and the other injures to the Hornets.
