Patrick Patterson (knee) and Lucas Nogueira (concussion) officially ruled out; DeMarre Carroll will play
Patterson and Nogueira will not play in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being listed as doubtful on the Raptors’ injury report with a strained left knee and concussion respectively. Prior to his injury, Patterson was recently inserted into the Raptors’ starting lineup, replacing the duo of Lucas Nogueira and Norman Powell, who each recently had stints with the starting unit. With Nogueira also ruled out, Pascal Siakam will draw the start at power forward. Theoretically, with how thin Toronto is in the front court, Jonas Valanciunas should see near 30 minutes of playing time in a great matchup with Cody Zeller and the Charlotte frontcourt, but his minutes are always too volatile to be confidently recommended as anything other than tournament option.

Danilo Gallinari (ankle) and Darrell Arthur (knee) questionable for Saturday; Nikola Jokic (ankle) expected to play
Danilo Gallinari missed last night’s game due to a bum ankle and Juan Hernangomez started in his place. Hernangomez had a strong showing and played over 38 minutes. He did not return massive potential on his minimum salary but also did not kill your lineup. Darrell Arthur has missed the past four games due to a knee issue and is also questionable to play on Saturday. Kenneth Faried has been starting with Arthur out and has been a true manimal. After three consecutive great games, Faried came back to earth against the Spurs, as expected. Faried will garner another start but his tournament viability hinges on the availability of Blake Griffin. Nikola Jokic has been on an absolute tear, averaging 52.27 FDP over his last four starts. He took a knee to the thigh but that’s not being reported here. He’s dealing with a minor ankle injury but should be good to go against Los Angeles.

Gary Harris will miss another game due to an ankle injury and Will Barton is expected to start in his place again. Barton has played well his last two starts but expect a salary bump to make him not as a strong of a cash game option. With 11 games on the slate, Barton is not a mandatory option. Wilson Chandler was unable to play against the Spurs due to personal reasons but is expected to play against the Clippers. Chandler comes off the bench but if Danilo Gallinari is unable to play, Chandler could start.

Tony Parker was unable to play in last night’s game due to an ankle injury but he is traveling with the team to Cleveland and could play against the Cavs. Dejounte Murray started in place of Parker and had a career-high 24 actual points. It was likely due to the opponent and we should not expect for Murray to keep it up against the Cavs, even though Irving is not exactly an elite defender. Look for another update tomorrow from the Spurs.

The Spurs veteran center broke his hand in pre-game warm ups yesterday and will have surgery to repair a fracture of fourth metacarpal in his left hand today. He’ll be out indefinitely for the Spurs – it’s a boost for the value of David Lee and Dewayne Dedmon.

Lucas Nogueira and Patrick Patterson unlikely to play tonight for Raptors
While not officially listed as doubtful, Nogueira and Patterson are both unlikely to play when Toronto faces Charlotte Friday night. DeMarre Carroll, however, is probable. Paskal Siakam will likely start (not a viable DFS option though) with Norman Powell and Terrence Ross will both see additional run if the aforementioned two do not play and are both viable DFS value options if this were to happen. Jared Sullinger is also in play but he’ll likely have his minutes capped at 15 or so limiting his upside.

The Kings guard missed the team’s last game with an ankle injury and is questionable for their game against the Grizzlies. If he can’t go again, Darren Collison should see all the minutes he can handle and would be a viable DFS option even in a tough match up against Memphis.

Bulls Head Coach Fred Hoiberg stated that Gibson and his injured ankle would play tonight against Atlanta. He’ll most likely be the starter sending Paul Zipser back to irrelevance while also giving a slight hit to the value of Bobby Portis and Doug McDermott.

Anderson missed the last two games due to illness but took part in the team shootaround this morning and appears likely to play tonight (but is listed as questionable) against Golden State. He should start and as long as he is healthy is a viable DFS option in a game with a huge total.

Fournier is still dealing with a foot injury and has been ruled out by the team for their game tonight against the Bucks. With Jodie Meeks also out indefinitely, reserves Mario Hezonja, D.J. Augustin, and C.J. Watson will all receive boosts in their playing time.

Dejounte Murray (ankle) will play and draw the start at point guard. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich typically prefers to keep Patty Mills in his reserve role, so this news isn’t all that surprising and Murray should be expected to be a starter in name only. Despite coming off the bench, Mills should approach the 30-minute plateau this evening and is one of the top value options on the late slates in a pristine matchup with the Nuggets’ backcourt.
