Moe Harkless will play today for Portland; Ed Davis also available to play
Updating our previous report – both Harkless and Davis warmed up and will be available to play today for Portland when they face the Washington Wizards. Harkless is hard to trust with his injury making him a risk and his return is a hit to the value of Allen Crabbe and Evan Turner who both would have received a bump in playing time.

Dwight Howard OUT for Atlanta today (rest)
Atlanta is giving their big man a day off and will play small as Tim Hardaway Jr. will get the start. No one gets a huge usage boost with Howard off the court (Millsap is the biggest beneficiary but it’s only a +1.4% increase). Hardaway is certainly in play as a mid-range option on this five game slate given he might see a few additional minutes in that role. Millsap is also in play facing a Knicks team that is bottom 10 in both PF and C DvP. Kris Humphries is a high-risk, high-upside option as he’ll likely see more run but he hasn’t topped 16 minutes in his last 11 games.

Blazers Head Coach Terry Stotts said the two forwards would be game-time decisions for their game against the Wizards this afternoon. Decision will be made for their availability after pre-game warm up. We’ll update you as soon as we know more.

Kuzminskas and Baker will join usual starters Joakim Noah, Carmelo Anthony, and Derrick Rose for the Knicks today in their game against the Hawks. Courtney Lee will come off the bench. Kuzminskas and Baker are both excellent value options and Baker is especially intriguing at or near minimum price across the industry.

The Knicks star forward still isn’t ready to return to action as the Knicks have ruled him out for their afternoon affair with the Hawks. It’ll mean more minutes for Justin Holiday and Mindaugas Kuzminskas – both of whom are viable value options on this five game afternoon slate with Kuzminskas having more upside of the two. That said, Carmelo Anthony is the biggest beneficiary as his usage increases nearly five percent with Porzingis off the court.

Thomas has to be fitted for a face mask after suffering an orbital fracture and concussion and is out indefinitely. In the meantime, Knicks Head Coach Jeff Hornacek stated Porzingis felt fine at walk through but will test his injury pregame before making a determination as to whether he will play or not. If Porzingis can’t go, Justin Holiday should pick up big minutes with Thomas also out and would be a top value option in the early slate. Stay tuned as we’ll update you as soon as we learn more.

Paul Zipser will start for Dwyane Wade (rest) tonight
Zipser will start at small forward in tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies for the resting Dwyane Wade, while Jimmy Butler will slide up to shooting guard. Zipser drew the start on Thursday in place of the then-ill Jimmy Butler and played a whopping 34 minutes. Although, he is unlikely to see that much of a workload this evening, he could certainly be worth a dart throw in tournaments on the late slates across the industry. With Wade off the court this season, Butler owns a substantial 6.0% usage rate differential (35.7%) while averaging approximately 1.40 fantasy points per minute. Despite the difficult defensive matchup with Memphis, Butler clearly remains one of the top overall plays on the board.

Luol Deng (rest) will start tonight, as expected
Deng will play and start in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons after being rested in the Lakers’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. He will reclaim his normal spot at small forward in the starting lineup, sending Lou Williams back to the bench to resume his reserve role.
As reported by: Mark Medina Lance Thomas (face) not expected to play Monday
Thomas is expected to be ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after being diagnosed with a left orbital fracture and concussion. Thomas had started the previous two games for the injured Kristaps Porzingis, and with Porzingis unlikely to suit up as well, Justin Holiday may be inserted into the starting lineup out of necessity. Depending on individual lineup construction, Holiday would become an enticing option for Monday’s slate if he draws the start in place of Thomas and Porzingis.

Muscala will not play in tomorrow’s game against the New York Knicks after not traveling with the team to New York. It remains to be seen who will pick up the backup center minutes behind Dwight Howard, though Kris Humphries seemed to assume Muscala’s role once he left the game due to injury, playing approximately 11 minutes.

Harkless and Davis have both been officially listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Washington Wizards with a strained right calf and sprained left ankle respectively. Harkless missed the Trail Blazers’ previous game with the aforementioned calf strain and Allen Crabbe drew the start small forward in his place. As for Davis, he sprained his ankle in Sunday’s practice but believes he will be able to play. Even if Davis is active, he can’t be relied upon as a daily fantasy option, as his playing time continues to be extremely erratic and has been the victim of several DNP-CD of late with Al-Farouq Aminu healthy.

Lopez will be rested and will not play in tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets. The Nets have announced that Justin Hamilton will replace him in the starting lineup, as expected. Additionally, Isaiah Whitehead is available to play and will start after previously being listed as probable on the Nets’ injury report. With Jeremy Lin still sidelined, Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie will continue to handle a majority of the point guard and ball handling responsibilities in the Brooklyn back court.
