He’s missed the last five games so there is a chance he won’t see his normal allotment of minutes. It’s a big hit to the value of Jeremy Lamb and a slighter hit to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s playing time.

Questions and concerns for the Cavs big three today
There is some definite uncertainty for Cleveland today as Lebron James did not take part in the team shootaround this morning due to illness and Kevin Love left early for illness reasons as well. Kyrie Irving, however, did take part but he is still considered questionable for their game tonight against the Bulls. Stay tuned – we’ll provide updates as soon as they become available.

Tyler Johnson and James Johnson both will not play in tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns after previously being announced as doubtful by the Heat due to a migraine and an illness respectively. Now that both players officially ruled out, the Heat only have eight players active and available to play. With Goran Dragic returning to the starting lineup, Josh Richardson will slide over to shooting guard. In situations like this, where potentially only eight players will be available for a team, a case can be made to roster nearly anyone and everyone. However, the optimal targets for Miami are Dragic, Richardson, Wayne Ellington, and Willie Reed if Johnson and Johnson are unable to suit up.

Kenneth Faried (back) ruled out tonight; Jameer Nelson (abdominal) and Darrell Arthur (knee) available to play
Faried will not play in tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings after previously being listed as questionable on the Nuggets’ injury report with lower back pain that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. Darrell Arthur will also be available to play after a one-game absence and could rejoin the rotation with Faried sidelined once again. If you don’t mind playing roulette with the Nuggets’ front court rotation, Jusuf Nurkic could be an intriguing option in tournaments after seeing 21 minutes off the bench in Monday’s contest. However, Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic still clearly remain the optimal targets if considering members of the Denver front court.

Knight is a surprise scratch from the Suns’ lineup for tonight’s game against the Miami Heat due to what’s being reported as a sprained right wrist. Knight has recently fallen out the Suns’ rotation, as he has seen eight minutes or less in each of the last three games. Therefore, his absence from the rotation does not necessarily move the needle of any member of the Suns’ second unit. Tyler Ulis can be expected to absorb any available minutes vacated by Knight, but won’t see enough time on the court to be fantasy viable.

Lawson will not play in tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets after previously being expected to play with a sinus fracture. Lawson attempted to go through his normal pregame routine, but was unable to successfully do so due to blurry vision. Darren Collison is the clear beneficiary of additional play time, as he is now the only active point guard on the roster. Collison also draws one of the best possible matchups available for a point guard against the Denver back court, making him a near lock in all formats for the late slates this evening.

Patterson will not play in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs after previously being listed as questionable on the Raptors injury report with a strained left knee that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. In his absence from the Raptors’ previous game, Jonas Valanciunas and Pascal Siakam soaked up a majority of the front court minutes, as each player saw 31 minutes apiece. Theoretically, Valanciunas should see similar run against a Spurs squad that likes to play big, but his minutes and production are too volatile to be confidently recommended as anything other than a tournament play.

Baynes will not play in tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers after previously being listed as questionable on the Pistons’ injury report with a sprained left ankle he sustained in Sunday’s win over the Miami Heat. Boban Marjanovic will likely see some of the backup center minutes along with Jon Leuer, but he shouldn’t be expected to see enough playing time to become fantasy viable. The direct beneficiaries of additional minutes would be Leuer, Andre Drummond, and Tobias Harris. All three are now cemented as fine options this evening.

Jeff Teague (ankle) confirmed as playing tonight; expected to start
Teague will play in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons after previously being listed as questionable on the Pacers’ injury report with a sprained left ankle. With Rodney Stuckey already ruled out, Teague becomes an intriguing tournament option, as he will carry lower ownership after carrying a questionable designation throughout the day. However, Teague is too risky for cash given the possibility of injury re-aggravation and all the other value available at the position. His presence in the lineup removes Aaron Brooks from consideration entirely.

Teague is still expected to be a game-time decision for tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons but is reportedly going through warmups in an effort to suit up Tuesday. Pacers head coach Nate McMillan is hopeful that Teague will play, but if he is inactive, Aaron Brooks will draw the start at point guard in his place. Brooks would make for an intriguing tournament option in this scenario but on a slate lacking a plethora of studs to pay up for, he may not be necessary. Paul George should see an uptick in usage, in theory, but has yet to really flash much upside this season and a matchup with the Pistons is far from an ideal one.

Bradley will play in tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz after previously being listed as questionable on the Celtics’ injury with an illness. Marcus Smart was hospitalized with a separate illness and will reportedly be available to play tonight. However, there has yet to be any confirmation on how much Smart will actually play, if at all. There is certainly a strong possibility that Smart is just active in the event of an emergency. We will continue to update the situation should additional information become available before lock.

Zeller will not play in tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz after previously being listed as questionable on the Celtics’ injury report with an illness that caused him to be hospitalized over the weekend. Marcus Smart was also hospitalized with a separate illness and will reportedly be available to play tonight. However, there has yet to be any confirmation on how much Smart will actually play, if at all. There is certainly a strong possibility that Smart is just active in the event of an emergency. Okafor will be available to play off the bench in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after previously being listed as questionable on the Sixers’ injury report with hamstring tightness. Joel Embiid will continue to start at center, while Ersan Ilyasova will also remain in the starting lineup at power forward. Embiid clearly remains an elite option in every format, while T.J. McConnell and Nik Stauskas provide significant value given Philadelphia’s injury situation in the back court, with Sergio Rodriguez, Gerald Henderson, and Jerryd Bayless all sidelined with various injuries.
