Gerald Henderson

Philadelphia 76ers
1/03/17, 6:36 PM ET

Gerald Henderson (hip) ruled out for tonight

Henderson will not play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after previously being listed as questionable on the Sixers injury report with a sore left hip that has now forced him to miss three consecutive games. Stauskas will draw the start at shooting guard once again in his absence. T.J. McConnell still grades out as the top overall option in the Sixers back court, but Stauskas is certainly worth a flier in tournaments, as he should also handle some of the backup point guard duties and see in the ballpark of 30 minutes in a plus matchup against the exploitable Minnesota back court defense.

Patrick Patterson

Portland Trail Blazers
1/03/17, 6:00 PM ET

Patrick Patterson (knee) unlikely to play tonight

Patrick Patterson is expected to miss his second consecutive gave and there is a chance that Lucas Nogueira and Jakob Poeltl see some minutes against the big front line of the Spurs. Nogueira is the better fantasy prospect and if he can stay out of foul trouble, he should be able to hit 20+ fantasy points, with is playable in tournaments at $3.5k. It might be a better play on DK since you can roster two centers. It does not make sense to avoid all the other good options on FanDuel for Nogueira.

Jameer Nelson

Detroit Pistons
1/03/17, 5:57 PM ET

Jameer Nelson (abdominal), Darrell Arthur (knee), and Kenneth Faried (back) all listed as questionable for tonight

Jameer Nelson has played under 20 minutes in consecutive games and was not a reliable fantasy option lately. Jamal Murray should see some extra minutes if Nelson misses tonight but is also a low-end GPP play against the Kings. Murray will need to play 20+ minutes to exceed value and he’s only gotten 20+ minutes twice in his last ten games. If Arthur and Faried both miss tonight, Jusuf Nurkic will get another shot to solidify his spot back in the rotation. Nurkic has played 18 and 21 minutes in consecutive games and will likely be needed tonight against DeMarcus Cousins with Nikola Jokic expected to be in foul trouble again.

Chris Paul

Toronto Raptors
1/03/17, 5:48 PM ET

Chris Paul (hamstring) officially listed as doubtful for tomorrow

Chris Paul is listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s game against the Grizzlies. Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton scored over 30 fantasy points in the absence of Paul. Rivers and Redick were also able to make an impact and both played heavy minutes. Since Paul is also iffy for tomorrow, all four guards are in play and it’ll be interesting to see which one has the most drastic price change. Look for another update on the Clippers tomorrow.

Rudy Gay

Golden State Warriors
1/03/17, 5:51 PM ET

Rudy Gay (hip) ruled out; Ty Lawson (illness) and Arron Afflalo (elbow) listed as probable

Rudy Gay has been ruled out of tonight’s contest while Lawson and Afflalo are expected to play. Lawson is a viable GPP target but in a virtual timeshare with Darren Collison. He could be limited slightly due to the illness and Collison is still the starter. Afflalo has been coming off the bench but is a low-end option as well. He rarely has a truly spectacular game. The biggest beneficiary of Gay being out will be DeMarcus Cousins. DMC has a 42.3 usage rate with Gay off the court this season.

Damian Lillard

Portland Trail Blazers
1/03/17, 5:41 PM ET

Damian Lillard (ankle) listed as doubtful for tomorrow's game vs Warriors

Damian Lillard is expected to miss another game tomorrow and C.J. McCollum and Allen Crabbe are expected to start again in the backcourt. McCollum’s salary should spike after his incredible game and he’ll simply be a GPP option against the Warriors. Allen Crabbe has not been dominating his minutes but did pick up a career-high 8 rebounds against the T-Wolves. He’ll remain a low-end fantasy option as long as Lillard is out.

Gerald Henderson

Philadelphia 76ers
1/03/17, 5:24 PM ET

Gerald Henderson downgraded to questionable for tonight

Gerald Henderson was listed as probable for tonight’s game against the Timberwolves but has since been downgraded to questionable. Henderson has missed the past two games due to a hip injury and was a low-end DFS option even when he was starting. Nik Stauskas has been starting in place of Henderson and has played over 29 minutes in both games. He’s reasonably priced across the industry and has hit a three-pointer in every start he’s made this season. His upside might not be entirely elite but with Jerryd Bayless and Sergio Rodriguez out of the lineup, Stauskas also plays the backup PG minutes, boosting his assist numbers.

Kristaps Porzingis

Golden State Warriors
1/03/17, 3:27 PM ET

Kristaps Porzingis doubtful for Wednesday

It’s looking as if the Knicks young star big man will sit out there game tomorrow as Head Coach Jeff Hornacek has told local media that he is doubtful to play. Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose both see a significant usage bump if Porzingis is out.

Dion Waiters

Los Angeles Lakers
1/03/17, 3:08 PM ET

Dion Waiters OUT tonight for Heat

Updating our previous report, Waiters will not play tonight. He’s getting closer to a return but that won’t happen tonight. Goran Dragic is shaping up to be an elite play against his former team, although there is some risk involved due to him coming off an injury.

Goran Dragic likely to play for Heat tonight; James Johnson misses shootaround

Miami Head Coach Erik Spoelstra believes Goran Dragic will play tonight against the Suns – a prime match up for the former Phoenix point guard and he’s certainly in play as a DFS option. Dion Waiters is still iffy and will be a game-time decision while James Johnson status is also in doubt after missing the team shootaround. If Johnson can’t go, Derrick Williams will make for a very attractive value option. We’ll update you on the status of these three later today.

George Hill

Indiana Pacers
1/03/17, 2:23 PM ET

George Hill OUT tonight for Utah

Updating our previous report, the Jazz have officially ruled out Hill for their game tonight against the Celtics. Shelvin Mack will likely get the start and is a high-risk with limited upside option.

Patrick Patterson

Patrick Patterson misses shootaround; questionable for tonight

The Raptors forward is dealing with a knee injury and did not take part in the team shootaround this morning. He’s questionable for their game against the Spurs tonight. Pascal Siakam will benefit the most but is not a viable DFS option.

As reported by: Eric Smith on Twitter Other tagged players: Pascal Siakam

George Hill

Indiana Pacers
1/03/17, 1:47 PM ET

George Hill unlikely to play tonight for Utah

Local media is reporting that Hill will not be available tonight unless there is a significant change in his concussion in the coming hours. He’ll need to be cleared before he can go so it’ll likely be Shelvin Mack starting again when Utah faces the Celtics. Mack is a very inconsistent option – he flashes signs of promise (20+ FanDuel fpts in 6 out of 12 games) but also has a high tendency of putting up complete duds (5 games of under 11 fpts out of those same 12 games).

Deron Williams

Cleveland Cavaliers
1/03/17, 5:21 PM ET

Deron Williams goes through shootaround; should play tonight

Williams has been battling an illness but should be able to play tonight after taking part in the Mavericks team shootaround. He faces a Wizards team that is surprisingly effective against PG’s (6th in DvP) and there are better options out there tonight.

Sergio Rodriguez

Philadelphia 76ers
1/03/17, 12:46 PM ET

Sergio Rodriguez and Richaun Holmes OUT for 76ers tonight

Rodriguez sprained his ankle last week and sat out there game Friday – he’ll continue to miss time as the team has ruled him out for their game tonight against the Timberwolves. This will make T.J. McConnell a highly attractive (and high-owned) option tonight after he put up 17 points and 8 assists last game out as the starter. Holmes is also out with a concussion but his impact is minimal as he’d effectively been removed from the core rotation.
