Mike Scott recalled from D-League, available to play tonight
The Hawks have brought Mike Scott back onto the active roster and he is available to play tonight. Scott has only played in three games this season and has yet to exceed 15 minutes. If he plays tonight, don’t expect him to play a ton. He’s not a fantasy option unless someone gets injured or takes the night off. Once we see that he’s back in the rotation for over 20 minutes, he’ll be DFS relevant.

Jrue Holiday (toe) and E'Twaun Moore (toe) questionable for Saturday
Jrue Holiday and E’Twaun Moore have both missed the Pelicans past two games. Both players are expected to miss Saturday’s game against the Clippers but are being listed as questionable. Langston Galloway has stepped up in a huge way in the absence of Holiday and Moore. Galloway has scored 30 or more fantasy points in both games and is averaging 32 minutes in those two games. He’ll remain a viable option but one should be cautious of a strong defensive team in the Clippers. His salary is expected to spike and so should the ownership after two consecutive good games. Tim Fraizer and Buddy Hield have started in place of Holiday and Moore but have not been able to make a fantasy impact.

Blake Griffin is dealing with a sore knee and has a chance to miss Saturday’s game against the Pelicans. Griffin rested five games ago due to a calf injury and DeAndre Jordan dominated in his absence. Jordan scored over 50 fantasy points in the double overtime loss and has huge upside against the Pelicans. Chris Paul had a triple-double in the game that Griffin rested and leads the team with a 28% usage rate with Griffin off the court this season. Marreese Speights and Brandon Bass would likely also see a bump in their value if Griffin were to miss on Saturday. Considering Griffin leads the team with a 31.4% usage rate on the season, the available wing players (Crawford, Rivers, and Redick) will likely also have to shoulder a larger scoring load.

It’s not 100% confirmed that he is out but the odds are heavily in favor that the veteran PG will not play for the Knicks tonight. This immediately makes Brandon Jennings an intriguing option although both the major sites have jacked his price up nearly $1K from where it was last game out. He’s probably a better cash game option than a GPP option as he has only topped 30 fantasy points once this season.

Paul Millsap will play tonight for Atlanta; Kent Bazemore out as expected
Just confirmation of what we expected – the Hawks star PF will play tonight against Milwaukee while Bazemore is out. Millsap is in play at PF against a Bucks team that is bottom 10 in PF DvP.

Hardaway banged his knee in the Hawks last game but is fine and will start for them tonight with Kent Bazemore already ruled out. He’s a reasonable value option facing the Milwaukee Bucks.

The injury depleted Heat got some positive news as Josh Richardson has joined the team in Cleveland and took part in the team shootaround this morning. He’s in line to play tonight and while it’s a tough match up he’s worth a look in GPP’s facing a Cavaliers team that is bottom five in the league in SG DvP.

Frye has been excused by the team for the next two games (today and tomorrow) for personal reasons. With Kevin Love also questionable, it could mean more run for Richard Jefferson and potentially Mike Dunleavy.

Love is dealing with back spasms and Smith has missed the last couple of games with a knee injury. The Cavaliers have listed both as questionable for tonight’s game against the Heat. Given the large double-digit spread, it wouldn’t be surprising to see both sit. We’ll update later in the day when we learn more.

Parker will play in tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls. He returns from a one-game absence due to a thigh injury and will displace Nicolas Laprovittola from the Spurs starting lineup. The presence of Parker in the lineup removes both Laprovittola and Patty Mills from consideration entirely. In fact, no members of the Spurs backcourt are particularly intriguing options this evening, including Parker himself.

Evan Turner will start for Maurice Harkess (ankle); Meyers Leonard starting over Al-Farouq Aminu
Harkless will not play in tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies after previously being listed as questionable on the Trail Blazers injury report with a sprained left ankle. Turner will draw the start at small forward in his absence, while Leonard will be inserted into the starting lineup at power forward in place of Al-Farouq Aminu. With Aminu remaining on a minutes restriction of 16-20 minutes, it makes sense for the Portland to go big in this matchup and bring him off the bench. There will be a plethora of extra minutes on the wing to go around for Turner and Allen Crabbe despite Turner being named the starter. Both wing players are certainly strong options for the turbo slates this evening.

Gasol will play and start in tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers after being a late addition to the Grizzlies’ injury report due to a right groin injury. Gasol still carries some risk, as Grizzlies coach David Fizdale has been apt to limit the minutes of veteran starters unexpectedly throughout this young season. However, Gasol does have an ideal matchup with the inept Portland frontcourt that struggles rebounding and on defense. He is certainly worth a shot in tournaments, as he has one of the highest upsides of all the centers available on the turbo slates this evening.

The Utah Jazz will start Mack, Exum, Johnson, Boris Diaw, and Rudy Gobert in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors. With Utah missing four of their normal starting five in George Hill, Rodney Hood, Gordon Hayward, and Derrick Favors, there are plenty of minutes and usage to go around for the remaining reserves. Mack, Johnson, and Ingles are the top options to target on the this injury-riddled Utah squad and it is certainly viable to roster all three in the same lineup if taking the stars and scrubs approach with lineup construction.

Holiday and Moore will not play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers after being listed as questionable on the Pelicans” injury report with separate toe injuries. They both were sidelined in the Pelicans’ previous game forcing Tim Frazier and Buddy Hield into the starting lineup. Frazier and Hield will start in their place once again at point guard and shooting guard respectively. However, Langston Galloway was actually the Pelicans guard that ended up outperforming the starters with 36 minutes off the bench. All three of the aforementioned guards are in consideration against an exploitable Sixers defense, though Frazier and Galloway are the preferred targets due to their minute floors and potential ceilings.
