Reggie Jackson has only missed one game the entire season but could be rested tonight. The Pistons will be in the playoffs and are only fighting for a higher seed at this point. We should have an update soon with the Pistons starting in the next wave of games.

Thunder starters: Payne, Roberson, Waiters, Collison, Adams
Payne will replace Russell Westbrook in the staring lineup against the Spurs. This will be the first start of the season for the rookie, making him a strong punt option with his asking price at a minimum across the industry. Dion Waiters replaces Kevin Durant but is a low-end play against the defense of Kawhi Leonard. Nick Collison will replace Serge Ibaka but also is not relevant in DFS. Enes Kanter is the player to use from the Thunder on Tuesday.

The Pelicans have listed ten players out of the Wednesday’s finale. Ryan Anderson and Norris Cole are also ruled out but both of them have not played in quite some time. Luke Babbitt started in Ajinca’s place on Monday but ended up being a bust in 34 minutes of action. The Pelicans have nothing left to play for and should be avoided tomorrow with 14 games on the slate.

The late season NBA can become very frustrating, but this slate in particular is extremely ugly. Eight of the ten teams in action are already in the playoffs and all five of the games are meaningless. There is so much value available that instead of looking for places we need to spend down, we are really looking for places to spend up so that we can use all of the salary we are given. The Pistons-Heat game presents a case for spending up at center because we have two premier centers going against each other. Hassan Whiteside and Andre Drummond are both good options, but Whiteside gets the slight edge as he moved into the starting lineup Sunday vs. the Magic. He is also coming into this one in great form averaging 42 DK points per game over his last ten. These late season short slates are tricky because we know there will be a lot of value plays out there, but if you can find the right guys to pay up for you should be in pretty good shape.

Boris Diaw and Manu Ginobili the only players resting on Tuesday; the rest of the Spurs will play
As we mentioned earlier Diaw and Ginobili are out. This will be Diaw’s fifth consecutive game missed but he will play tomorrow against the Mavericks. Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich also mentioned that it’s a fair assumption that older vets who play tonight will get the night off tomorrow in Dallas. Today’s slate is tough with so many projected blowouts but Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge should be able to carry the Spurs with Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka out of the lineup for the Thunder.

Miles will not play against the Knicks and has been dealing with a shoulder injury for most of the season. Solomon Hill has been playing great off the bench, averaging 26.6 FDFP over his last three games. S. Hill is a strong punt option on a short slate. The Pacers are favored by 11.5 points, meaning there should be some garbage time for Hill to play in.

Winslow will not be playing against the Pistons on Tuesday. With Winslow out of the lineup Dorrell Wright could see some time on the court. Wright is not available in DFS tonight since he just signed with the team today. Joe Johnson should see about 28-30 minutes against the Pistons but has not exceeded 5x in four out of his last five games. Deng has been playing over 30 minutes for a couple weeks now but also has an asking price of $6,100 on FD, not leaving much room for upside.

James Johnson will not play against the Sixers on Tuesday. Johnson was not a viable option with DeMarre Carroll back in the lineup. Carroll is averaging about 1 FP/Min and will likely not play more than 20-22 minutes against Philadelphia. Carroll is a boom-or-bust option on a short slate that carries considerable risk. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan will also play but are risky options with the Raptors favored by 11 points. Delon Wright was questionable earlier in the day but will also play but is not a DFS option.

Early has been tabbed as Anthony replacement against the Pacers on Tuesday. With only five games on the slate, Early is a viable GPP play tonight. The Pacers rank 5th in DRE vs. SFs over the course of the season, making Early a risky option. Early’s does not possess much upside in this contest and Paul George should be able to take advantage. If you’re paying up at SF, George should be considered an elite option with Kevin Durant also off the slate.

Carmelo Anthony’s season is done and will not play against the Pacers tonight. Cleanthony Early is expected to start in his place but it is not official yet. Early is a low-end punt play against a Pacers defense that is ranked 6th in DvP vs. SFs over the last three weeks.

Thomas Robinson’s season is over and will not play due to a knee injury on Wednesday. Henry Sims started in his place on Monday and had 8 points, 8 rebounds, and some peripherals for 24.1 FanDuel fpts. Sims is a low-end value play against the Raptors with 14 games on the slate. Chris McCullough has also stepped up with a bunch of the Nets’ big men out of the lineup, he’s averaged 21.08 fpts over his last four games, three of which were starts. McCullough should see 24-28 minutes making him a viable low-end option as well.

Lauvergne is listed as probable and is expected to play against the Blazers. Lauvergne is coming off the bench and has not seen his asking price spike much. Lauvergne is averaging 21.42 FDFP over his last four games but carries some risk for Wednesday due to his bench role. He does not carry a ton of upside and has only scored over 30 fpts once this entire season. Lauvergne is only an option if Jusuf Nurkic or Nikola Jokic are out of the lineup.

Harris is questionable for the Nuggets final game of the season. Harris seen his production dip recently after back-to-back contests with the Spurs and Jazz. Harris has only exceeded 7x a total of four times this season, making him a better cash game play than GPP. If Harris misses the game we can expect Will Barton to pick up the minutes and possibly the start. Barton has played over 30 minutes in three consecutive games and should see over 35 minutes if Harris is ruled out. Darrell Arthur is doubtful after playing 12 minutes against Utah on Sunday. Arthur is not a viable DFS option but his absence can open up more minutes for Jusuf Nurkic. Nurkic has been starting the last two games but saw his minutes take a dip due to Arthur’s return to the lineup.

Chris Kaman is considered questionable for the Blazers finale due to a strained abdomen. Kaman has not played in the last two games and has only made two appearances in the last eleven games. Ed Davis is getting a bulk of the big man minutes off the bench but has also regressed lately. Mason Plumlee is the big player to target in the Blazers frontcourt. Plumlee is averaging 33.78 FanDuel fpts over his last five games, making him a strong mid-range play against the Nuggets.

The Thunder are already locked into the three seed, so they’ll ease up on the big dogs tonight. With the big three out, look for Enes Kanter, Dion Waiters and Cameron Payne to all provide solid value even with a tough match-up against San Antonio. All three players cleared 30 minutes against the Blazers when Durant and Westbrook were also out, and the price tags on all three remain far too low given their potential in this spot. Kanter is an elite option in any format and looks to be among the top $/point plays of the evening. Waiters and Payne are also playable in any format given their value price tags.
