Anthony Davis has been shut down for the season
Anthony Davis will not play again this season due to knee and shoulder injuries. Jrue Holiday will likely see the biggest spike in usage with Ryan Anderson also getting a bump when he returns. The Pelicans will also rely heavily on Toney Douglas who has averaged 29.83 DKFP over his last six games.

Robert Covington and Richaun Holmes expected to play Wednesday
Robert Covington and Richaun Holmes will not play on Monday but are expected to return Wednesday. Both players will help a truly depleted Sixers team against the Nuggets. Robert Covington will likely be under-owned due to his extended absence and is a viable option.

Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis have both been ruled out of today’s contest against the Clippers. Ryan Anderson (groin) has no timetable for his return and Anthony Davis has been shut down for the rest of the season. Jrue Holiday and Toney Douglas will get most of the usage with both Anderson and Davis out.

Anthony Davis has now been ruled out but Alexis Ajinca will play. Ajinca has a fractured sternum but seems healthy enough to play. With the Pelicans so depleted, Ajinca might be forced to play. While he is not a strong DFS option, he will be under 2% owned on DraftKings. It is extremely risky to play him with Omer Asik and Kendrick Perkins healthy. Norris Cole continues to be out.

Deron Williams and Wesley Matthews will be starting against the Blazers. Deron Williams is the better tournament play in this matchup. Wesley Matthews will play SF and has not exceeded value for three consecutive games.

Jonas Valanciunas is not expected to play even though he will be in uniform. Jason Thompson and Lucas Nogueira will both see minutes backing up Bismack Biyombo. Neither player is a high-end option but Thompson does have some upside with Patrick Patterson out of the lineup.

Brandon Jennings will continue to start even though Elfrid Payton is available to play. Both players are risky plays against the Raptors, who defend point guards at an elite clip. It is safer to not roster them with so many better point guards available today.

Zaza Pachulia will return to the starting lineup with Chandler Parsons ruled out with a sore hamstring. Zaza is a better punt option on DK where his salary is $3,700. Pachulia’s salary is $4,100 on FD making him slightly more difficult to roster. With DeMarcus Cousins the only center that is an elite option on Sunday, Pachulia deserves some consideration.

Andrew Bogut has been downgraded to doubtful for Monday’s game against the Timberwolves. Brandon Rush will likely start in his place again but is a low-end DFS option. Look for an update regarding Bogut’s status tomorrow.

Patrick Patterson has been downgraded from questionable to likely out, meaning Jason Thompson will likely take his place in the rotation. Jonas Valanciunas was active on Friday but did not play. Bismack Biyombo is currently listed as the starter for the Raptors with Valanciunas dealing with soreness in his surgically repaired hand.

Casspi is a viable punt play against the Knicks, who are playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Willie Cauley-Stein will miss his second consecutive game due to an illness. Quincy Acy will continue to start but is a risky tournament play on a six-game slate. Ben McLemore will miss his seventh game due to a fractured finger.

Ty Lawson hopes to play against the Sixers on Monday. He will not be on any minutes restrictions but will be managed based on how he looks. Don’t expect Lawson to play over 20 minutes unless the Pacers blow the 76ers out. With Lawson back in the lineup, Rodney Stuckey’s value takes a hit.

Wesley Matthews and Deron Williams will warm up with the intent of playing against the Blazers. Chandler Parsons has been ruled out of Sunday’s contest. Zaza Pachulia will likely return to the starting lineup and makes for intriguing punt option. Pachulia’s salary has fallen all the way to $3,700 on DK, the lowest it’s been all season. He should be able to secure 18-20 minutes, allowing him to exceed value on his asking price. David Lee should continue to log 22-26 minutes but his salary has spiked, limiting the upside.
