Draymond Green is an elite option if Steph Curry is ruled out

The Warriors are coming off one of the best regular season games in recent memory in their matchup with the Thunder, and Steph Curry as well as Andre Iguodala are both questionable tonight. The opening over/under has gone from 225 all the way down to 217 and if that is any indication it appears that Vegas does not think Curry will play tonight. That leaves a ton of usage up for grabs and the likely candidate to take the biggest chunk of that usage is Draymond Green. Green has been playing very well recently, and despite scoring only two real-life points he put up a monster game with 60.5 (!) DK points. That is the ultimate showing of peripheral stats and Green is the king of racking up rebounds, assists, blocks, and even steals as he had six on Saturday. That is encouraging as a DFS player that even when Green isn’t scoring, he will still hopefully rack up plenty of other stats that contributes to a solid fantasy score. If Curry doesn’t play, the Warriors will look for a combination of Green and Klay Thompson to take over the offensive role for the Warriors, and Green could have a monster game. He has a huge ceiling fit for GPPs, and if Curry sits he is a fine cash play as well.

Garnett, Bjelica, and Pekovic all listed as out for Wednesday

Kevin Garnett, Nemanja Bjelica, and Nikola Pekovic are all listed as out for tomorrow’s game. Karl-Anthony Towns is an elite option with all their big men out. Gorgui Dieng is also questionable, making Towns one of the top plays at center on Wednesday.

Emmanuel Mudiay

Sacramento Kings

Emmanuel Mudiay (calf) probable for Wednesday

Emmanuel Mudiay will likely start again on Wednesday against the Lakers. Mudiay did play 33 minutes in their last contest so he should not be limited. If for some reason Mudiay does sit, D.J. Augustin would be the elite punt play. Augustin has been playing well since coming over from a trade, exceeding value in four out of six games.

Kenneth Faried

Houston Rockets
3/01/16, 5:33 PM ET

Kenneth Faried (back) is questionable for Wednesday

Kenneth Faried is questionable for the game against the Lakers on Wednesday. Faried played well last night against Memphis, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in 28 minutes. If Faried misses time, Darrell Arthur will likely see the start at power forward. Arthur has flashed nice upside this season when he receives 28 or more minutes. If Arthur starts, he should be considered an elite punt option with his salary expected around $4k on both major sites.

Matt Bonner

San Antonio Spurs
3/01/16, 5:18 PM ET

Matt Bonner (calf) probable for Wednesday; Manu Ginobili out

Matt Bonner is probable for Wednesday’s contest against the Pistons. Bonner is not a DFS option unless multiple Spurs sit in the frontcourt. Manu Ginobili is back practicing with the team and is expected to be out a couple more games. Ginobili is recovering from groin surgery and wil llikely be limited when he returns.

Michael Carter-Williams

Michael Carter-Williams misses practice today, questionable for tomorrow

MCW did not practice Tuesday but will be evaluated at shootaround Wednesday, per Jason Kidd. If he’s unable to go yet again, look for O.J. Mayo to continue to start at PG, although Giannis Antetokounmpo will do most of the distributing with the first unit. Jerryd Bayless is probably the better DFS target (compared to Mayo) despite him coming off the bench in the event that MCW is forced to miss another game. We’ll have more information on Carter-Williams after tomorrow’s shootaround.

Clint Capela

Houston Rockets
3/01/16, 4:12 PM ET

Clint Capela practices today, questionable for Wednesday

Clint Capela was able to make it through practice today and is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game with the Pelicans. He hasn’t suited up for any of the Rockets past three games and has averaged just 15 MPG over the month of February, so he’s not a DFS option at this stage. Josh Smith will likely continue to start at PF, but he’s also not a viable DFS play at the moment.

Andre Iguodala

Golden State Warriors
3/01/16, 3:45 PM ET

Andre Iguodala questionable for tonight

Andre Iguodala is questionable for tonight’s game due to left hamstring tightness. With Stephen Curry also questionable, the Warriors may end up being short on ball-handlers, which would bode well for the value of Shaun Livingston and Leandro Barbosa. Harrison Barnes’ value would also rise as a result of Iguodala sitting out.

Gorgui Dieng

3/01/16, 3:16 PM ET

Gorgui Dieng does not practice today; status uncertain for Wednesday's game

The Timberwolves forward/center missed practice today due to personal reasons and his status for their game tomorrow is uncertain. The Twolves front court is already dangerously thin and if Dieng is unable to go it’ll probably mean big minutes for Adreian Payne. We’ll update you on Dieng’s status tomorrow.

Kobe Bryant

Los Angeles Lakers
3/01/16, 3:07 PM ET

Kobe Bryant ruled out for tonight

Kobe Bryant has been ruled out of tonight’s game, but will travel to Denver for tomorrow’s game and is expected to play. With Bryant out tonight, all three guards (Russell, Clarkson and Williams) will get a nice uptick in value, while Anthony Brown will likely draw another start. Russell and Clarkson are very nice mid-range plays in any format against a weak Brooklyn defense, while Williams is more of a GPP-only target. Brown isn’t a recommended DFS option.

Anthony Davis

Washington Wizards
3/01/16, 2:23 PM ET

Anthony Davis probable for tomorrow's game

After missing the last game, the Pelicans big man went through practice today and is fully expected to play tomorrow against the Rockets in what should be a good match up for the fragile superstar. We’ll update you if anything changes tomorrow. Ryan Anderson obviously takes the biggest hit if Davis plays.

Evan Fournier

Detroit Pistons
3/01/16, 2:13 PM ET

Evan Fournier not expected to play tonight

Magic Head Coach Scott Skiles stated that Fournier is unlikely to play tonight when the team takes on the Dallas Mavericks. If he is unable to go, Mario Hezonja will likely get the start and is in play as a punt option at SF (FanDuel) and SG (DraftKings) at a under $4K price tag on each site. Hezonja has put up 20+ fpts his last two games out and should be in line for 25+ minutes again (as he had each of those two games). If anything changes regarding Fournier, we’ll update you as soon as we learn of it.

Stanley Johnson

San Antonio Spurs
3/01/16, 1:23 PM ET

Stanley Johnson doubtful to play on Wednesday

Pistons Head Coach Stan Van Gundy stated that he didn’t see that there is any way that the Pistons rookie forward would play tomorrow. With the recent acquisition of Tobias Harris, Johnson’s role had diminished anyway, this just further cements Harris’s minutes. We’ll update you if anything changes regarding Johnson playing.

Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose - "I'm playing"

Updating our previous report – Rose has told media that he is playing tonight. As mentioned previously, Bulls Head Coach Fred Hoiberg said Rose would be on a minutes limitation and given the tough match up with the Heat Rose is an easy player to avoid for DFS purposes tonight. It’s also a slight downgrade for E’Twaun Moore, Tony Snell, and Pau Gasol although Gasol should still be worthy of consideration given his role in the offense since Jimmy Butler has been out.

Derrick Rose

Memphis Grizzlies
3/01/16, 12:18 PM ET

Derrick Rose goes through shootaround but is still a game-time decision for tonight

Bulls Head Coach Fred Hoiberg stated that Rose looked better and would be a game-time decision for the teams game tonight against the Miami Heat. He did go on to add that Rose would be on a minutes limitation if he did play. Given this news and facing a Heat team that is 2nd in PG DvP, Rose is an easy avoid for DFS purposes tonight. His playing would also reduce the value of Pau Gasol whose usage increases dramatically when Rose does not play (Gasol is still a viable target though, just not as good of one). E’Twaun Moore and Tony Snell would also see slight hits to their value. We’ll update you on whether Rose is playing or not as soon as we find out.
