Derrick Favors out Saturday
Favors will miss tonight’s game today to back spasms. With Favors out, Trevor Booker, Trey Lyles and Jeff Withey will play all the minutes in the frontcourt. Lyles and Withey will likely start, but don’t do much for your fantasy lineups. Both are GPP punt plays only. With Blake Griffin out, the Clippers will likely play small. The only play here is Booker. He is priced at just $4,400 on FD and $4,100 on DK. Even if Booker doesn’t start he will still see a lot of minutes.
As reported by: Aaron FalkNuggets Starters: Nelson, Harris, Papanikolaou, Faried, Lauvergne
Jameer Nelson will start for the Nuggets on Saturday despite missing the last game. He has kind of cooled off as of late and is only a GPP play. J.J. Barea is the punt PG tonight. Kostas Papanikolaou will start for Gallinari. After only playing only 11 minutes in his 1st start, last time out against the Suns he played 33. In that game he finished with 27 FD points. He is a GPP punt play only because his minutes can’t be trusted. It’s pretty easy to fade all Nuggets tonight, the Spurs have the best defense in the NBA.
As reported by: Chris DempseyDavid West will start for Tim Duncan
David West will start for the Spurs on Saturday with Tim Duncan out. It’s really hard to play any Spurs tonight not named Kawhi Leonard. West is a GPP punt play only. He has started for Duncan in the past and really hasn’t done much. He is only $3,600 on FD and $3,800 on DK.
As reported by: Jeff McdonaldSaturday’s Injury Report
There are a ton of injuries or players resting today. Here is a recap!
Out: Blake Griffin, Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard,Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Deron Williams, David Lee
Questionable: Jahlil Okafor, Derrick Favors
Jared Sullinger and Amir Johnson starting in the Celtics Frontcourt
Amir Johnson will make his return to the starting lineup on Saturday. Jared Sullinger will start alongside Johnson. David Lee is out with an injury and Kelly Olynyk will come off the bench. All three are GPP plays only with the Celtics going up against Andre Drummond. The play for the Celtics is Isaiah Thomas.
As reported by: Steve BulpettDavid Lee out Saturday
Lee will miss Saturday’s game with a sore lower back. Jared Sullinger and Amir Johnson will start for the Celtics in the frontcourt. This will likely mean Kelly Olynyk will get a lot of minutes off the bench if he can stay out of foul trouble. Sullinger and Olynyk are GPP plays only going up against Andre Drummond.
As reported by: Boston CelticsBlake Griffin out for two weeks
Griffin will be out for at least two weeks with a partially torn quad. We will have to wait to see who the Clippers start on Saturday against the Jazz. It will most likely be Josh Smith. He is the ultimate GPP play; he is priced at $3,500 on DK and $3,800 on FD. This news will give a bigger usage to Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan.
As reported by: Dan WoikeJonas Valanciunas getting close to returning
He went through some practice drills on Friday and is getting closer to returning. There was some talk about him playing Saturday, but he is not ready yet. He hopes he can play on Monday. When he returns this hurts the value of Bismack Biyombo.
Otto Porter going through pre-game warmups
We know for sure Porter won’t start, but am not sure if he will play today. He was going through the lay-up lines in pre-game warmups. It is likely that he will only play in an emergency situation off the bench.
As reported by: Jorge CastilloKyrie Irving out Saturday
Irving will rest tonight on the second of a back-to-back for the Cavs. We will have to wait to see who the Cavs start it will either be Matthew Dellavedova or Mo Williams. Dellavedova played 31 minutes yesterday, while Williams only saw 5. It will probably be Dellavedova as he has been playing a lot lately compared to Williams. He could make for a nice GPP play with most people playing J.J. Barea.
As reported by: Dave McMenaminJames Johnson will start on Saturday, DeMarre Carroll will come off the bench
Both Johnson and Carroll will return to game action today. Johnson missed the last game and Carroll missed the last nine. Johnson will start and Carroll will come off the bench on a minutes limit. Both are easy fades today, it’s hard to say how the minutes will breakdown between the two.
As reported by: Josh LewenbergWizards starting 5: Wall, Temple, Oubre, Dudley, Gortat
Still no official word on Otto Porter, but with Kelly Oubre starting it’s safe to assume Porter won’t play today or be very limited off the bench. If Porter is confirmed out, Oubre will make for a nice value play. Really all the Wizard’s starters make nice plays today.
As reported by: Washington WizardsNene and Drew Gooden remain out
Nene and Gooden will miss yet another game for the Wizards on Saturday. Marcin Gortat has been playing a ton of minutes lately and producing. Over his last three games, he is averaging 39 minutes and 38 FD points per game. Kris Humphries is an easy fade; he is just not getting the minutes. Jared Dudley is seeing a lot of minutes at the 4, and makes for a nice value play today.
As reported by: Jorge CastilloOtto Porter game-time decision Saturday
Porter will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Nets. He will warm up and see how he feels. It seems like he is still not 100 %, so if he does play he is an easy fade. If he does play, this would hurt the value of Kelly Oubre. Oubre makes for a very nice punt play at SF if Porter can’t go.
As reported by: WizardsGary Neal out Saturday
Neal will miss Saturday’s game with a back injury. This is great news for Garrett Temple, who has been on fire as of late. He has scored over 20 points in three straight games. He has played over 40 minutes in the last two games. He is a PG on FD ($4,300) and a SG on DK ($4,700). Ramon Sessions will also get some extra minutes with Neal out.
