With Lillard out, McCollum and Crabbe become great options
Damian Lillard has one of the highest usage rates in the entire NBA, and now that he will be sidelined for a third straight game on Sunday vs. the Kings, there are a lot of fantasy points to go around to his Trail Blazers teammates. CJ McCollum has not necessarily seen a minutes increase over the last three games because he was playing a lot before Lillard’s injury, but now he has a much greater responsibility on offense as he now becomes their primary scorer. Crabbe is also in a similar boat, as he moves into that secondary scoring role for the Blazers and as we saw last night vs. the Cavaliers where he put up 26 real-life points, Crabbe can light it up when he gets the opportunity. Both McCollum and Crabbe become great plays tonight vs. a Kings defense that struggles to guard anyone in general, but especially opposing SGs. You will likely benefit from having at least one of these two in your lineups and if you have room, maybe try to roster both of them tonight as they are both in great spots.

David Lee out Sunday
Lee will miss his second straight game with a back injury. Yesterday without Lee, this is how the Celtics frontcourt broke down: (Olynyk 24 mins, 18.9 FD points) (Sullinger 21 mins, 22.6 FD points) (Johnson 28 mins. 20.6 FD points). It’s just always hard to trust the Celtics frontcourt even with an injury, but on a four game slate there all in play especially Sullinger and Olynyk.

Marcus Smart to play limited minutes Sunday
Smart will make his return to game action after being out for a while. Smart will play limited minutes according to his head coach Brad Steven. “He’s available to play. We’ll throw him in and see how it goes. Short stints.” He is not a fantasy option, and his return doesn’t really change anything yet with him getting limited minutes. Isaiah Thomas remains a solid play tonight.

Byron Scott said Williams has a stinger in his left shoulder, but he is dressing as if he will play. He is a GPP play tonight only. The Grizzlies are one of the best defenses at defending the shooting guard.

Burks will be out for at least six weeks with a fractured ankle. Trey Burke will benefit from this the most. Joe Ingles should see some more minutes also, but is fantasy irrelevant. Gordon Hayward will likely be asked to do even more offensively with Burks out. Rodney Hood could also, but he just doesn’t do enough.

Valanciunas will make his way back to the lineup after being out a while with a hand injury. Head coach Dwane Casey said he would ease Valanciunas back into game-action. With Valanciunas returning this will hurt the value of Bismack Biyombo. In his last five games, Biyombo had averaged 16 rebound per game.

Ed Davis will miss tonight’s game against the Kings with an ankle injury. This will mean more minutes for Mason Plumlee and Meyers Leonard. Plumlee has been playing real well as of late. Over his last three games, he is averaging 32 FD points per game. He is $5,300 on both sites. On FD you could use at him at center in GPPs, because everyone will be on DeMarcus Cousins. Noah Vonleh will also get some more minutes, but he just doesn’t do much.

Lillard will miss another game with a foot injury. This will once again mean that C.J. McCollum will run the point, and Allen Crabbe will get heavy minutes at SG. In the two games without Lillard, McCollum has averaged 32 FD points in 35 minutes. He is the top play at the always tough to fill SG position. Crabbe is coming off a 26 point game last night. He doesn’t do much to fill up the stat-sheet, but at his cheap price you will take the points. You could play both McCollum and Crabbe as your SGs.

Bledsoe suffered a left knee injury last night and will likely be out for an extended amount of time. The two players that will benefit the most from this are Brandon Knight and Devin Booker. Knight will slide over to PG, and the rookie Booker will be at SG. Booker has really come on, last night he scored 19 points with Bledsoe out.

With Irving out tonight, Dellavedova will start in his place. He makes for a great play at $4,500 on FD and $4,800 on DK. He has played over 30 minutes in three out of the last four games. Mo Williams has hardly played in the last couple of games.

We already knew about Jerami Grant and Nerlens Noel starting in the frontcourt. There was some question if Ish Smith would be available to play tonight, but he is in the starting lineup. Noel makes for a nice play tonight, and Smith could make an interesting GPP play. Smith minutes are unknown tonight, but he will most likely make a great play in the upcoming games for the 76ers.

Martin did not play on Wednesday, and according to reports he will likely be a healthy scratch again tonight. With no Martin last game, rookie Tyus Jones played 20 minutes. Jones is not a DFS option yet.

With Blake Griffin out for a couple weeks Josh Smith will start in his place tonight against the Jazz. He is the ultimate GPP play; he is priced at $3,500 on DK and $3,800 on FD. Smith hasn’t played in the last two games. The Clippers could also go small in this game with Derrick Favors out for the Jazz. That would mean more minutes for Wesley Johnson, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, and Lance Stephenson.

Okafor will miss Saturday’s game because of a sore right knee. This will give a big boost to Nerlens Noel, who will shift over to the center position. Noel makes for an intriguing play at just $5,600 on FD and $5,500 on DK. He has averaged 26 FD points over his last three games. Jerami Grant will enter the starting lineup and play the 4. He is a GPP punt play only.

P.J Tucker will start for T.J Warren on Saturday night. The last game it was the opposite. It’s tough to play either of these players because they split minutes. The guards are the plays for the Suns tonight against the 76ers.
