Jabari Parker out this week with a sprained right foot
The Bucks have listed Jabari Parker out for at least 3 games. His foot injury comes on the heels of playing 30 minutes in the double-overtime victory against Clevland. Expect Giannis Antetokounmpo to get some time at PF in small-ball lineups, with Johnny O’Bryant likely drawing the start and John Henson splitting the minutes off the bench.

Kawhi Leonard will play on Monday
This was believed to be the case all day, but we’re just passing along confirmation. Leonard is an elite play at SF tonight, with only Paul George besting him.
As reported by: Jabari Young Avery Bradley available, but Smart and Thomas will start at guard spots
Avery Bradley will play tonight, but he’ll come off the bench with Marcus Smart and Isaiah Thomas getting the start at the guard spots. Bradley isn’t a DFS option tonight, but both Smart and Thomas are interesting upside plays. Thomas is still locked in as the lead ballhandler when he’s on the floor, and he’s not going to be shy about getting his shots up. Smart is coming off of his best game of the season last night and is available at a reasonable price tag across the industry.

Roberson is out with the flu tonight, which opens up a starting spot for Kyle Singler. He’s not a DFS option tonight given the tough matchup and likelihood that he’s held to under 20-24 minutes. Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka are the only DFS viable plays tonight. Westbrook will continue to see monster usage without Durant in the lineup, and Ibaka also benefits in that regard. He’ll also benefit from doing battle with an undersized Zach Randolph, something that gives him a bit higher upside in terms of blocks.

Starting tonight, Chandler Parsons’ minutes limit will spike to 20. While that’s not a big bump and it still makes him impossible to target for DFS purposes, it’s encouraging that the limit is now starting to rise. It may be another few weeks before Parsons is playing a suitable number of minutes relative to his price on DFS sites.

With Mirotic remaining in the starting lineup, that would indicate that Joakim Noah will be coming off the bench. We’ll still need to see what Indiana does with it’s starting unit (Glenn Robinson is listed as the starting SG, but that is subject to change), but the only real DFS options on the Chicago side now are Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol. It’s best to avoid Derrick Rose tonight with stronger options available in his price range (Brandon Knight, Mike Conley), but he does have some GPP appeal despite horrid shooting to start the season. Rose is still dealing with blurred vision and may be dealing with it for a few weeks.

This move doesn’t offer much in the way of DFS relevance, but it does allow the Bulls to match up better with the Pacers. With Jimmy Butler likely to have to follow Paul George around, Tony Snell offers them another plus wing defender to help out with Monta Ellis and C.J. Miles. Neither Snell nor McDermott are DFS options tonight.

Just a quick recap of the current notable inactives. Kobe’s minutes will be eaten up by a combination of Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, Lou Williams and Nick Young, none of whom stand out as particularly strong DFS plays. With Hill and Stuckey out, both Monta Ellis and C.J. Miles become much stronger plays.
Myles Turner has surgery out 6 weeks
Myles Turner had surgery on his thumb and the Pacers have listed him out for 6 weeks. Jordan Hill makes for a great option in his absence. While he was never a defensive stalworth (1 block on the season), Hill now seems to have a higher ceiling due to Turner’s injury. Hill has two double-doubles on the season, and has proven he can produce when given the minutes. The Pacers will need Hill to provide energy off the bench, and could play a lot tonight if Ian Mahinmi gets in foul trouble against the Bulls big men.

The Timberwolves have listed Zach LaVine as the probable starter for Tuesday’s contest against the Heat. LaVine has been playing well in Rubio’s absence. In his last 5 games, LaVine is averaging 33.15 FPs on DraftKings, and that includes the dud he put up against the Warriors. LaVine’s price on DK for Tuesday is $5,300 and that is about a12% increase from his previous salary of $4,700. The $5,300 salary is also his highest this season so he is no longer just a punt play, which could make LaVine low-owned value play on Tuesday’s 7 game slate.

Phil Pressey has been listed as doubtful for tonight with a case of food poisoning. Isaiah Canaan will likely see a majority of minutes as the first guard off the bench. Canaan is averaging 25 minutes off the bench and has been averaging 10 points a game. Expect for T.J. McConnell to get extended run tonight against the Mavs in Pressey’s absence, McConnell is an option that has some upside with his price at $5400 on DraftKings.

With Jeff Teague and Kent Bazemore already ruled out, the Hawks will these three healthy. Korver should see a healthy dose of minutes at SG without Bazemore in the lineup, and Thabo Sefolosha should see a notable bump in playing time as well. Dennis Schroeder and Paul Millsap are the top targets here for tomorrow’s slate; both are playable in all formats.
As reported by: KL Chouinard Robert Covington to come off bench with 20-minute limit
Robert Covington will not start in his return to the lineup, and will be limited to 20 minutes of court time against Dallas. The Sixers will start McConnell, Stauskas, Grant, Noel and Okafor against the Mavericks in a game that is likely to get out of hand during the second half. Covington’s presence makes it hard to like any of the Sixers wings tonight, so it’s probably worth avoiding all Sixers outside of McConnell, Noel and Okafor, who can all be targeted in tournaments.
As reported by: Chris Vito Jeff Teague, Kent Bazemore will not play Tuesday
Both Jeff Teague and Kent Bazemore will miss Tuesday’s game with the Nets, as neither player traveled with the team. This provides a great opportunity for Dennis Schroeder to see extended minutes as the starting point guard. He’ll be an elite punt play tomorrow at the mid-to-low range of the PG pool. He’s got double-double upside every time he starts for Teague. With Bazemore out, look for Kyle Korver to see heavy minutes with Thabo Sefolosha also helping out on the wing. Shelvin Mack and Justin Holiday will also likely see an uptick in playing time.
