IND WR Alec Pierce (head) out for Week 2; WR Michael Pittman (quad) questionable.
No Pierce likely means increased snaps for Ashton Dulin who was targeted 6 times on 15 routes run. Parris Campbell should continue to operate as the WR2 but was only targeted 4 times in Week 1. If Pittman, who saw 13 W1 targets, is out we would see a drastic change in target distribution.

LAC CB J.C. Jackson active Thursday; Keenan Allen, Donald Parham, Isaiah Spiller all inactive
No surprises here, as all of this was known coming into today outside of J.C. Jackson’s status. His presence should help bolster the LAC pass defense that will have it’s hands full with Mahomes and Co. on Thursday.

Ronald Jones officially inactive Thursday
Jones will not play Thursday night, further paving the way for CEH and rookie Isiah Pacheco to lead the Chiefs backfield.

Assuming this observation holds and he is a DNP on the official report, this is troubling for his availability Sunday. It could be more Ross Dwelley and Tyler Kroft for them. You won’t consider them as top options for the slate no matter what.

PIT RB Najee Harris (foot) was listed as a full participant Thursday.
He is indeed looking “good to go” as they suggested earlier in the week.

Since the injury likely happened in practice today, we must examine tomorrow’s report to see if this is severe enough to keep him out. If so, look for Lawrence Cager to step in and fill the void as a pass first option. Conklin is still the lead guy here, and nobody is going to stand out in projections.

Toney was already buried on the depth chart, and Robinson is already out of our projections. Richie James asked “what did five fingers say to the face?” last Sunday, and the answer was “SLAP” with 5 targets for 59 yards. He’s Rich James, Baby… and he’ll likely benefit most from these two players being absent.

The reports from the past two days will teach us very little about who is / is not available Sunday, and we are now hostages to the Friday report before we truly make projections for this team.

It’s a downgrade from limited, and that’s a concern. However, it would make sense that a rib issue would be the type of injury you wouldn’t want to make worse in a practice setting. So we’ll wait and see if the fire matches the smoke tomorrow.

The illness is a new reason, and not the back everyone was concerned about prior. We’ll see what happens tomorrow, but we’re not adjusting the projections just yet.

This is good news for Wilson, and for the Dolphins passing game. He’s heading in the right direction, and we’ll see his final status tomorrow.

This is looking like either a Josh Jacobs bell cow situation, or the anticipated debut of rookie Zamir White as a second option in the backfield Sunday. Ameer Abdullah was also just a limited presence last weekend, and perhaps he would see additional run too considering Bolden’s typical usage as a change of pace.

This is no reason to panic yet on Pittman, but we are now sweating the Friday report hard to see if he is available. His absence would absolutely upend the Colts passing projections, and possibly their entire team’s outlook. Pierce, ironically, would stand to gain the most should he clear the protocol.

One beat reporter states he is “not expected to play as of now”, and that is certainly aligned with his second straight absence. Montrell Washington is a player who could wind up seeing the field this week if Hamler is indeed out.
