Julio Jones

Philadelphia Eagles

TEN WR Julio Jones getting treatment on leg; Week 4 status is "up in the air"

Julio missed a few snaps against the Colts last week, and it was mentioned during the post-game that he “tightened up” a bit. Now, his status is up in the air as the Titans prepare to play the New York Jets. A.J. Brown is already considered week to week, so if Julio can’t go, the Titans would be incredibly shorthanded as their WR depth is certainly shaky. Julio’s had a tendency to miss practice and play through injury since his days in Atlanta, so it’ll be better to see how he looks later in the week before overly worrying.

Scotty Miller

Pittsburgh Steelers
9/29/21, 1:12 PM ET

TB WR Scotty Miller placed on IR Wednesday

Miller suffered a bad case of turf toe, and will miss at least the next three games after being placed on IR. Miller had a chance to make waves this past Sunday with no Antonio Brown, but was unlikely to play much with Brown expected to return this week. Tyler Johnson may play a few more snaps with no Miller, but it’ll be the big three receivers (AB, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin) monopolizing the work.

Rashod Bateman

Baltimore Ravens
9/29/21, 1:08 PM ET

BAL WR Rashod Bateman and WR Miles Boykin activated from IR, to practice Wednesday

The Ravens will be getting some reinforcements for their pass catchers, as Bateman and Boykin were both activated off the injured reserve. Their status for Sunday’s game against the Broncos will be determined later in the week, but they’ve both recovered from injuries that cost them the first the three games. Boykin appears to be closer to playing, but he would not be DFS relevant for a main slate. Bateman was a player popular over the summer as a rookie first round pick, but may take some time before he’s taking targets away from Mark Andrews and Marquise Brown.

Tee Higgins

Cincinnati Bengals
9/29/21, 1:26 AM ET

CIN WR Tee Higgins (shoulder) not seen practicing Tuesday

Tee Higgins, who missed last game with a shoulder injury, was not seen practicing Tuesday for the Bengals (update: officially listed as DNP) ahead of their Thursday night matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Higgins out Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd soaked up most of the targets for the Bengals (11 of 18 total targets) two of which were touchdowns caught by Chase. If Higgins were unable to play again this Thursday we would expect to see a similar game plan reliant on Mixon on the ground and Chase and Boyd as the primary passing attack options against a lackluster Jaguars defense.

KJ Hamler

Buffalo Bills
9/28/21, 4:15 PM ET

DEN WR K.J. Hamler officially placed on IR

K.J. Hamler has officially been placed on IR by the Broncos and will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. The Broncos who are thin at wide receiver after putting both Hamler and Jerry Jeudy on IR (though Jeudy is supposed to be able to return at some point this season) will now rely on Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and Noah Fant as their top pass catchers making them all better plays due to their expected uptick in volume.

Brett Rypien

Minnesota Vikings
9/28/21, 4:07 PM ET

DEN QB Brett Rypien promoted to active roster, WR David Moore signed by Broncos off Raiders' practice squad

The Denver Broncos have promoted Brett Rypien to the active roster and signed David Moore off Raiders’ practice squad. Brett Rypien was likely promoted to avoid another team signing him off the practice squad and the Broncos now have 3 quarterbacks on their active 53 man roster Teddy Bridgewater, Drew Lock, and Rypien. It is unlikely Rypien sees the field unless an emergency situation arises. Moore was signed to help fill the wide receiver need the Broncos have after placing both Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler on IR. Moore will likely serve as the team’s 4th or 5th receiver behind Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and Diontae Spencer.

Tyler Davis

New England Patriots
9/28/21, 3:35 PM ET

TE Tyler Davis signed by Green Bay Packers off Indianapolis Colts' practice squad

TE Tyler Davis has been signed by the Green Bay Packers off of the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad. Davis was a 6th round pick last year by the Jaguars and appeared in eight games. He will primarily serve as positional depth for the Packers and will likely be behind Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis on the depth chart. This should have little to no DFS impact.

Boston Scott

Pittsburgh Steelers
9/27/21, 5:50 PM ET

PHI RB Boston Scott active Monday

Scott was dealing with an illness that caused him to miss some practice, but is active for the Eagles. He’s the clear third RB and hasn’t seen the field through two games, as Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell are the 1-2 punch for the Eagles.

Josh Gordon

Tennessee Titans
9/27/21, 3:12 PM ET

WR Josh Gordon to sign with Chiefs

Schefter mentioned that after being reinstated, Gordon is going to sign with the Chiefs. Gordon’s had a few stops the last few years, and has been difficult to stick; he’s always at risk for suspension, but his talent has always been there. It’s unclear how big a role Gordon will have to start; he’ll need to get acclimated to the team, and he’ll need to be on his best behavior throughout. However, this is certainly a worrisome sign for Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman, as they haven’t played well enough for the Chiefs to be content with their options behind Hill and Kelce. We’ll get more about Gordon as Sunday approaches.

Elijah Mitchell

New England Patriots
9/26/21, 6:04 PM ET

SF RB Elijah Mitchell officially inactive; Kerryon Johnson and Jacques Patrick both active

Mitchell was downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss the 49ers game against the Packers. It’ll be Trey Sermon leading the way, Jacques Patrick and Kerryon Johnson behind him, and Trenton Cannon active but likely only playing special teams snaps.

Darrell Henderson

Los Angeles Rams
9/26/21, 2:12 PM ET

LAR RB Darrell Henderson officially inactive Sunday

As expected, Henderson was unable to get cleared against to play and will sit against the Bucs. Sony Michel will get the start, but the Rams will have a very pass heavy attack against Bucs stout front.

Dalvin Cook

Dallas Cowboys
9/26/21, 2:08 PM ET

MIN RB Dalvin Cook (ankle) officially inactive Sunday

As expected, Dalvin Cook was ultimately ruled out and will sit against the Seahawks. This means that Alexander Mattison will get the start, and is going to be a great play, particularly on Fanduel with a reduced price. Mattison should see the lion’s share of the carries, with Ameer Abdullah to spell him.

Preston Williams

Carolina Panthers
9/26/21, 1:44 PM ET

MIA WR Preston Williams and WR Albert Wilson inactive Sunday

With Will Fuller making his debut for the team, the Dolphins will be changing up their WR room. Williams and Wilson are both inactive for the team, as it’ll be Fuller, Jaylen Waddle, and Devante Parker as the top options for the team. With Jacoby Brissett as the QB, it’ll be difficult to have much faith in many of the Dolphins receivers.

As reported by: the Miami Dolphins via Twitter Other tagged players: Albert Wilson

Josh Jacobs

Green Bay Packers
9/26/21, 1:49 PM ET

LV RB Josh Jacobs officially inactive Sunday

As expected, Jacobs was downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss his second straight game. Kenyan Drake and Peyton Barber will lead the way as the Raiders host the Dolphins.

Denzel Mims

Jacksonville Jaguars
9/26/21, 1:47 PM ET

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder, WR Denzel Mims both officially inactive Sunday

The Jets WR room will be the same as last week; despite Crowder being ruled out to a groin injury, Mims will be a healthy scratch. It’ll be Corey Davis, Elijah Moore, and Braxton berrios likely leading the team in a tough matchup against the Denver Broncos.
