Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders both active; Ty Montgomery inactive
Michael Thomas will return tonight, and he is active for the first time since Week 1. This should immediately boost the Saints, considering that Thomas is one of the most dominate WRs in the league. Emmanuel Sanders is also active, and he is returning from the COVID-19 list. He won’t see the same volume of targets he had been previously when Thomas was out.

Maxx Williams is active Sunday, and couple play his first snaps since Week 1. He projects to have almost no role in the passing game and would be a third option at the TE position for the Cardinals.

Vance McDonald is officially active Sunday for Pittsburgh and will work behind Eric Ebron. His role in the offense is limited this season, so he is a completely TD-dependent play.

Elliott is now officially active, although the extent of his role isn’t clear. Tony Pollard is expected to see a larger than usual role. It is worth noting that the Cowboys called up FB Sewo Olonilua as a depth option on Saturday and have him inactive today, so they aren’t concerned with having that additional depth behind Elliott.

Josh Jacobs is officially active for the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Jacobs had a disappointing Week 7, but followed that up with 31 carries in Week 8, and with that type of volume comes the potential for a massive day.

Keenan Allen was cleared to play earlier Sunday, and now he is officially active. He was questionable with an illness that has been reported as a sore throat. He should handle his usual workload, but little is known about the extent of his sickness. Troymaine Pope is also inactive for the Chargers.

Ezekiel Elliott is reportedly expected to play Sunday, although the hamstring could still limit his work. Tony Pollard is in line behind Elliott, and should see work even if Elliott is active. Official inactives should be out around 3:55 PM ET.

T.Y. Hilton’s disappointing season continues, as he is now inactive for Week 9. Mo Alie-Cox is active but part of a crowded TE position, with Trey Burton and Jack Doyle both also active. Marcus Johnson is active and could be a strong value play with the absence of Hilton.

Christian McCaffrey is officially active Sunday. The star RB is expected to share some work with Mike Davis, but the extent of that sharing isn’t know. McCaffrey has often handled nearly every RB touch and snap, so an expanded role for his backup could still be fairly limited.
