John Gruden announced that Josh Jacobs will miss Week 16’s game against the Chargers which once again opens the door for DeAndre Washington to take over leadback duties for the Raiders. Washington replaced Jacobs as Oakland’s starting running back in Week 14 and saw heavy usage playing 39-of-62 snaps and parlaying 20 touches into 96 yards and a touchdown. Despite Washington’s strong Week 14 fantasy performance, his price tag failed to increase significantly resulting in a player that is completely underpriced for his expected role.

Cook is reportedly unlikely to play Monday night, and he may not play again in the regular season, with the hope that he can return if the Vikings make the playoffs. Coach Mike Zimmer is not conceding anything about Cook’s availability, continuing Thursday to make vague statements about Cook. We likely won’t get anything official until Saturday or later. Mike Boone or Alexander Mattison would get a significant boost if Cook is out.
