10:20 pm Toronto time – CashMonet’s team

Adam Duvall recently homered to push the Reds stacks even further away from the pack. A Neil Walker homer plus the win points for David Price moved CashMonet into 2nd place. Six games are completed and the final four are winding down.

9:45 pm Toronto time – scoreboard update

Things are tight at the top of the scoreboard. Gunz4hire is hoping a couple of extremely low-owned Oakland batters can move him into 1st place. The high-scoring night continues, with the Mets and Reds leading the way with 11 runs apiece so far.

9:10 pm Toronto time – KKHS_Maz’s lineup

Mookie Betts, Hanley Ramirez, and Zack Cozart all just went deep. At 5.6% ownership, the Cozart homer was huge for KKHS_Maz because Cozart is not part of Rotomania’s Reds stack. KKHS_Maz already has three homers from players who are less than 10% owned.

8:45 pm Toronto time – runs aplenty

Through 2 innings, the Reds have scored 9 runs already! Scott Schebler has gone yard twice, Joey Votto has a homer and a double, and the Reds stacks are at the top of the leaderboard. Rotomania is in front with a full Cincinnati stack. A lot of the early games are now in the 5th inning. The White Sox have put up 7 runs through 4 innings, and the Pirates and Brewers are tied at 6 in the 4th.

8:20 pm Toronto time – ChipotleAddict in the lead

Milwaukee’s Hernan Perez has two home runs in his first two at-bats and four runs batted in. At only 2.5% ownership, he’s the highest-scoring player so far. ChipotleAddict has a Brewers/Mets team in first place. Asdrubal Cabrera was a popular value play for only $2900. Aside from Cabrera, all of the hitters on the leader’s team are very low-owned. So far, the most expensive pitching options are doing well.

Here are the 10 highest-owned players in the FBWC:
Dallas Keuchel – 69.4%

7:30 pm Toronto time – NDfan’s lineup

The first home run of the night belongs to Ian Kinsler. Three minutes later, Jose Abreu goes deep, too, vaulting NDfan into the early lead. With eight games now in progress, it’s clear that most of the finalists spent a good chunk of salary on starting pitchers. Dallas Keuchel is an amazing 69.4% owned and Noah Syndergaard is 55% owned. At $10,000 David Price was used on 20% of FBWC rosters. Alex Reyes has a price tag of $7,400.

7:15 pm Toronto time

The DraftKings Fantasy Baseball World Championship is officially underway. The late game tonight, Atlanta at San Francisco, is not part of this slate, leaving 20 other MLB teams for the finalists to choose from. The Cardinals and Tigers are the only teams on this slate with projected team totals of at least 5 runs. Noah Syndergaard headlines the starting pitching options. He is the most expensive pitcher on DraftKings tonight, with a salary of $12,300. Here’s hoping for an exciting slate as we wait to see who the next fantasy baseball millionaire will be!
