DFS Tournament Report: NFL Week 10
It was an exciting week in DFS GPPs as the top prize in the DraftKings Main Event Millionaire would come down to the very end of the Sunday Night Football game between the Seahawks and Patriots. RotoGrinders #1 ranked player Saahil Sud would hold the lead in the prestigious event but would end up losing by the slimmest of margins (.1 points) when C.J. Prosise rambled for a five-yard run with five minutes remaining in the game. That .5 points would be enough to move zbb123 into first place and lead to this tweet from Saahil earlier today:
Congrats Zbb123. Never experienced a sweat like that from 6pm on. Most disappointed that I got lazy and played Dion Lewis in primetime slate

Here’s a quick review of all the big prize GPPs on FanDuel and DraftKings including the standings and winning lineups:
DraftKings NFL $5M Main Event Millionaire ($1M to First)
DraftKings upped the price point of their flagship event, making it a $444 entry fee in order to have a shot at the seven-figure first place prize this week. Saahil Sud would use a Tennessee Titan “onslaught” to take the lead into the evening with Marcus Mariota, DeMarco Murray, Delanie Walker, and Kendall Wright combining for nearly 100 points of his 220.6 final total. Ezekiel Elliott would put up a monster 43.9 points for Saahil and big games from Antonio Brown (37.4 fpts) and Stefon Diggs (32.4 fpts) would allow him to overcome <10 fpt outings from Chris Ivory and the Jaguars DST. Unfortunately it wouldn’t be enough as C.J. Prosise would score 22.3 fpts which was just enough for zbb123 and his own Titans-Packers stack of Mariota, Walker, and Jordy Nelson (along with Brown, Zeke, and Le’Veon Bell) to take the top spot by just .1 fpts.
DraftKings NFL $1.25 Medium Midseason Celebration
Jeffk1717 would put up an impressive 236.92 fpts to take home the $44 entry fee Medium Midseason Celebration. He utilized a Steelers stack of Big Ben, Bell, Brown, and Eli Rogers to start things off and rounded it out with the chalk that was David Johnson as well as two TE’s who put up big days in Walker and Kyle Rudolph. Add in 20 fpts from Tyreek Hill and the best DST performance of the day in the Buccaneers (24 fpts) and you have the makings of a dominating GPP winning lineup.
DraftKings NFL $2M Mini Midseason Celebration
At only a $4 entry fee, the eventual winner of the Mini Midseason Celebration would have to beat out more than a half-million entries if they wanted to take down the six-figure first place prize money. Mortyice entered the Sunday Night game with only Doug Baldwin remaining and would need a nearly 30 point game from the Seahawks WR if he wanted to take the top spot. Three touchdowns and 29.9 fpts later and Morty would indeed be the one looking at a sizable increase in his bankroll.
FanDuel $1.25M Sunday Million ($200K to 1st)
Perhaps the most contrarian lineup of the day award goes to vincent1976 who went all Nostradamus in ignoring Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson’s proclamation that Darren Sproles was their lead back. Over 20% of the masses rode the Sproles hype train but vincent1976 was part of the .2% who decided Ryan Mathews would be the Eagles back to roster and he would be paid off handsomely for this belief as Mathews scored 28.9 fpts. Combine that performance with a Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin night time hammer and some Zeke and AB and Vincent will be laughing all the way to the bank.
FanDuel $1M Sling TV Rush ($100K to 1st)
Jpb2911 and coalforlife would have very similar lineups in the Sling TV Rush as they both had Mariota, Murray, Elliott, A.Brown, and the Bucs defense. The remaining four players each had would be close in their total points scored but ultimately it would be the 11 points from Chandler Catanzaro for jpb2911 that would make the difference over the 8 points from Nick Novak for coalforlife.
FanDuel $500K Monster ($100K to 1st)
Peachtree42 didn’t need much from Julian Edelman in the Sunday Night game if he wanted to win the Monster but it wasn’t looking good in the first half. Eventually though Edelman would come through with an average 11.4 fpt performance to round out peachtree’s Roethlisberger/Elliott/Murray/Brown/Jordy lineup to give him the win.
