What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – STL -200
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Shelby Miller has a 0.99 ERA at home this year. He is a high K player and has huge upside everytime he takes the hill. He has struggled a little in last 2 starts and had a leg problem that caused him to exit his last start early. Seems dicey to me especially when you considered that TEX has recorded the 4th fewest Ks in the league. TEX is batting .254 on the road, .266 versus right-handers, and .260 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 7
- Away A guy at work last night asked me what was wrong with the Rangers this year. The problem, of course, is that injuries have destroyed their rotation and they have been forced to throw AAA callups like Nick Tepesch, Justin Grimm, and Josh Lindblom. Oh and it did not help the fact that the let go of Chirs Davis and signed Lance Berkman instead. Someone should be fired. Martin Perez is the latest guy to get the nod. He had pretty good luck in AAA with a 5-1 record and a 1.75 ERA. He will be cheap but I do not trust him today versus the league’s 3rd highest scoring team. STL is batting .280 at home, .233 versus left-hander, and .272 over the last 7 days.Start-ability 3
Batter Grind Down
- Home Carlos Beltran and Yadier Molina have both been very hot producing over 30 fp. Molina is batting .346 versus left-handed pitching. Consider everyone playable versus the AAA starter. Stack-ability 7
- Away Leonys Martin, Nelson Cruz, A.J. Pierzynski, and Ian Kinsler have all been hot over the last week. KInsler, Adrian Beltre, and Pierzynski are all batting over .300 versus right-handers

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7
- Favored Team – SD -113
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Seriously, there has to be someone in SDG farm system that is better than Edinson Volquez. He has been slightly better at home with a 4.91 home ERA, which is worse than some of the splits I tell you to avoid. Vegas expects a low scoring game and his K/9 is playable. He is 5-5 on the season and the Dodgers are slumping if you are looking for a super cheap pitcher on a multiple pitcher site. LAD is batting .256 on the road, .251 versus right-handers, and .266 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 3
- Away You might not believe me Zack Greinke is headed in the right direction. Sure he got roughed up last time in PIT but I like his odds today in this pitcher’s park against a significantly worse offensive team. SDG is batting .244 at home, .248 versus right-handers, and .243 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 5
Batter Grind Down
- Home Pedro Ciriaco and Logan Forsythe have been hot over the last 7 days. Both are batting over .400 versus right-handed pitching Carlos Quentin has 3 HRs in 26 AB versus Grienke. Stack-ability 2
- Away Mark Ellis is 6-19 versus Volquez. Andre Either is 6-15. Adrian Gonzalez is 3-9 with 1 HR. Yasiel Puig and Hanley Ramirez have both been hot over the last 7 days . Puig is batting .413 versus right-handers. Stack-ability 4

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8
- Favored Team – ARI -125
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home I am not sold that Patrick Corbin is worth the price. Sure, his numbers are all nice including his 1.71 home ERA. However, he has a 3.76 ERA in June and his K/9 has taken a dip as well. CIN poses a serious threat. They are batting .246 on the road, .250 versus left-handers, and .228 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 6
- Away Mike Leake is putting together a nice year. He has a 0.96 ERA over his last 7 starts and is pitching well home and on the road. ARI has hit him well in the past but we are seeing a different pitcher than he was a couple of years ago. ARI is batting .257 at home, .269 versus right-handers, and .219 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home It is a low sample size but the BvPs for everyone on ARI are positive. Paul Goldschmidt has been hot producing 27 fp over the last 7 days. Stack-ability 5
- Away Corbin has held left-handers to a .141 BAA versus him so I would avoid Choo, Bruce and Votto. Phillips and Frazier make nice plays. Stack-ability 3

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – LAA -134
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Jerome Williams has been okay in his few spot starts on the year. His 3.14 ERA and 1.14 WHIP are very good so I was a little surprised that they have stuck with Joe Blanton in the rotation. Williams gets the nod today and faces a PIT team that 4th in the league in Ks and not all that great on the road. PIT is batting .231 on the road, .242 versus right-handers and ,246 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 6
- Away Francisco Liriano is still rolling along at a high pace. His home/road splits are pretty even. He has been a high K/9 player on the year but the strikeouts seem to be tapering off a bit. He draws a hot LAA team that is batting .286 at home, .229 versus left-handers, and .322 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home Mike Trout, Peter Bourjos, and Albert Pujols have been hot. Bourjos, Alberto Callaspo, Howie Kendrick, and Mark Trumbo have positive BvPs versus Liriano.
- Away Pedro Alvarez has been very hot over the last week with 31.5 fp. Jordy Mercer has been hot as well with 25 fp. Both Alex Presley andJose Tabata are both batting over .300 versus right-handers.

OAK vs R | OAK BvP | SEA vs R | SEA BvP | ||||||
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – OAK -140
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Aaron Harang Is posting the highest K/9 ratio of his career so far this year. He has not been great at home but he is certainly better there than he is on the road. His WHIP is indicative of a player with a low 4s upper 3s ERA so one would think that it should come down. OAK is batting .253 on the road, .248 versus right handers, and .263 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 5
- Away Dan Strailyhas not been good so far this year but that does not matter because he gets to square off against SEA. SEA is the easiest matchup in baseball because the have scored the 2nd fewest runs and have recorded the 4th highest amount of Ks. SEA is batting .245 at home, .238 versus right-handers, and .231 over the last 7 days. Start-ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home Kendrys Morales is 4-8 with 2HRs versus Straily. Kyle Seager and Nick Franklin have both been hot
- Away Brandon Moss, Seth Smith, and Yoenis Cespedes are all hot over the last 7. Chris Young is 6-20 versus Harang. Jed Lowrie and Josh Donaldson are hitting right-handers well on the year. Stack-ability 4
