CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first-place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Happy Monday! We kick off a new week with a 7-game slate starting at 7:07pm ET. That’s a lot of sevens!
There is one clear ace at the top of the heap and then a fairly spread out pool on both sides once we Stride past that. Let’s jump right in and look at some MLB DFS picks for this Monday night.
Monday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

We have some very clear tiers in pitching tonight in both skill set and salary. I’m going to cross quite a few of these players off the list quickly, but this is the bird’s eye view of everyone:
TOP TIER IS LONELY
Spencer Strider vs. Marlins
MID-TIER PITCHING
Chris Bassitt vs. White Sox
Sonny Gray vs. Yankees
Jordan Montgomery at Giants
Alex Cobb vs. Cardinals
Lance Lynn at Blue Jays
Edward Cabrera at Braves
Brad Keller vs. Diamondbacks
CHEAP STUFF
Jose Suarez vs. A’s
Matt Boyd at Brewers
Jhony Brito at Twins
Colin Rea vs. Tigers
Tommy Henry vs. Royals
Ken Waldichuk at Angels
Striding To The Top
Spencer Strider vs. Marlins – 38.6% K, 9.1% BB, 2.64 ERA, 2.49 SIERA
Strider is so far ahead of every other pitcher on this slate that he qualifies as a Don’t Overthink It. He has nine strikeouts in each of his four starts and now gets to face the Marlins at home. There is no need to spend time talking about why he is the top pitcher.
Of course, he is also priced as the top pitcher, so it’s not as easy as just lock button and move on. But I will say that I will have no cap on him in my lineups. If I’m able to play 100% Strider on every site in every format, that’s what I’ll do.
