Million Dollar Musings: Wednesday, June 28

CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first-place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Happy Wednesday! After the full enchilada last night, we have a nearly full enchilada tonight, with 13 games on the main slate. Chimichanga? Just like last night, the Dodgers will run away with the lead in projections and ownership, but we again have plenty of pivots. The pitching is similarly deep, though not quite as strong in any of the pricing tiers tonight.
Let’s jump right into finding some MLB DFS picks for tonight and then it will be lunchtime! Chimichanga?
Wednesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

We don’t have quite as strong a pitching pool as yesterday, but it’s similarly deep. I’m going to start by sorting into these two big buckets, and then we’ll make some cuts:
Something Like Aces
Aaron Nola at Cubs
Blake Snell at Pirates
Kodai Senga vs. Brewers
Logan Webb at Blue Jays
Mitch Keller vs. Padres
Zach Eflin at Diamondbacks
Cristian Javier at Cardinals
Lucas Giolito at Angels
Braxton Garrett at Red Sox
Matchups and Salaries
Domingo German at A’s
Dane Dunning vs. Tigers
Logan Allen at Royals
Kyle Gibson vs. Reds
JP Sears vs. Yankees
SORTING THE ACES

Aaron Nola at Cubs – 24.3% K, 6.5% BB, 4.38 ERA, 3.92 SIERA
Blake Snell at Pirates – 30.7% K, 11.8% BB, 3.22 ERA, 3.85 SIERA
Kodai Senga vs. Brewers – 28% K, 13.3% BB, 3.52 ERA, 4.32 SIERA
Logan Webb at Blue Jays – 24% K, 5% BB, 3.16 ERA, 3.21 SIERA
Mitch Keller vs. Padres – 27.7% K, 6.4% BB, 3.45 ERA, 3.42 SIERA
Zach Eflin at Diamondbacks – 25.6% K, 4.6% BB, 3.35 ERA, 3.33 SIERA
Cristian Javier at Cardinals – 22.9% K, 7.1% BB, 3.25 ERA, 4.47 SIERA
Lucas Giolito at Angels – 25.6% K, 7.5% BB, 3.41 ERA, 3.98 SIERA
Braxton Garrett at Red Sox – 28.7% K, 4.5% BB, 3.64 ERA, 3.01 SIERA
This is just too many pitchers to be swimming in a pool. Safety first. You can arrange them however you want, but I’m going to start by making a few cuts.
Cristian Javier is simply not striking anybody out, in addition to recent control issues. Until he figures it out, I’ll pass. Zach Eflin is a solid pitcher, but the salary is goofy for this matchup, so he’s out. Those are the only two very easy cuts; let’s move on to the more difficult cuts.
Logan Webb is an excellent pitcher, and I fully expect to see yet another quality start, likely with his usual seven innings. His ground balls are a big boost in this matchup as well. So yeah, I like him, but he’s priced up near the top on both sites, at the point where I’d be needing higher strikeout upside. Leftover MME only.
I don’t think I can cut anyone else, so let’s jump back to the top and try to find the priorities.
