What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Niners onslaught – A lot of the individual pieces for the Niners are likely going to be highly owned. Christian McCaffrey is coming off of a game where he had 31 touches, Mac Jones is minimum salary, and Ricky Pearsall is going to soak up targets with George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk both out. However, I’m not sure how many people are going to fully stack the Niners. Despite all of the injuries, they still have an implied team total of ~22 points. The stack is so cheap that it can pay off in a big way if the Niners come out and put up 30+ points against the Saints. Additionally, the salary savings allow you to really beef up the rest of your lineup.

stevietpfl: Jerry Jeudy + Zay Flowers – The Browns draw a tough matchup against the Ravens and should be playing from behind. Jeudy had 5 catches for 66 yards in Week 1. He had 40.9% of the air yards and was the first read 28% of the time. I expect another good game against a shaky Baltimore secondary. Flowers is one my favorite plays this week. He was the first read 53.3% of the time in Week 1. He also had 54.2% of the air yards and a 47.4% target rate. I don’t think Baltimore will let off the gas this game, and I think Flowers has a big game. I’d prefer Lamar Jackson if I was going to make this a larger stack.

Krayton: Mac Jones + Christian McCaffrey – Sometimes you just have to take advantage of the minimum-priced QB, and with Brock Purdy out for the next few weeks, that will be Jones this week. And the Niners get to face a terrible Saints team that should give up plenty of big plays and touchdowns. CMC is still too cheap and is looking to have an even bigger role in this offense with both Purdy and George Kittle out. Quarterback ownership is typically pretty spread out. I like starting my lineups with Jones and CMC, and then you are still able to get plenty of high-upside plays, such as Puka Nacua, Brian Thomas Jr, or even Saquon Barkley, that should make your lineup more unique.

ebeimfohr: Ricky Pearsall + Juwan Johnson – Certainly, you can include Christian McCaffrey here, but I find the rest of the pieces of this game stack to stand out much more in tournaments, especially as pivots off CMC and Mac Jones chalk. Obviously, Mac Jones is the stone min. on DK, but as we really digest this slate I don’t see the reason to play him. We have Lamar and Allen cheaper than they should be, and we have plenty of value to fit really any QB we want. Pearsall is the key piece for me with no George Kittle or Brandon Aiyuk and a banged-up Jauan Jennings. Mac Jones honed in on Brian Thomas Jr. last season and even DeVonta Smith in college. CMC caught a lot of passes in Week 1 due to the Niners playing from behind, but I’m not sure that’s the complete plan heading into this one, and if Pearsall can steal work we can sneak away without a total CMC nuke game. Johnson, on the opposite side here, led all TEs in targets, air yards, and snaps (99%!) in Week 1 and is too cheap for his role with no Taysom Hill or Foster Moreau and Kellen Moore calling the shots.

ncorfield8k: Joe Burrow + Tee Higgins + Ja’Marr Chase + Travis Etienne Jr. + Brian Thomas Jr. – There is some strong value on this slate. It is not difficult to mega-stack the JAX/CIN game, which includes two defenses that may be in the bottom 5 in the league and two potentially fun offenses (can I still say this about the Jags? I’m letting myself believe again due to Travis Hunter.) If the Jags’ offense shows up to play, this could be a shootout, and there are many ways to play it. I’ll play several pieces together.

Davis Mattek: Drake Maye + Hunter Henry – This could be the most mid-IQ take of all time, but the Dolphins look like a team that has already decided their season is over. Daniel Jones scored on every possession in Week 1, and Drake Maye is nothing but somewhere on Jones’ evolutionary chart. Kayshon Boutte might catch some ownership, but more importantly, Harold Fannin Jr. will likely be so popular that any other mid-priced TE you play could be unowned.

Jordan Vanek: Josh Allen + Bills pass-catcher + Breece Hall – The Jets finally look like a team with an identity, built to bully opponents in the trenches. Last weekend, the Bills gave up massive rushing lanes to Derrick Henry, and I believe the Jets can create similar opportunities. On the other side, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn is deploying heavy man coverage, and Allen looks like no preseason did nothing to his rhythm. I watched Aaron Rodgers carve up this same Jets defense in an Arthur Smith offense, and I think Allen is set up for a massive game here.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play (below 10% pOWN%) and why?
