Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Saturday, July 14th

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option
Kyle Hendricks, Chicago Cubs (FD Price $7500)

It’s been a tough year for Hendricks, but he gave us hope that he has turned it around with a very good effort last time out against San Francisco (8.1 IP, 5H, 0 ER, 8K). Facing a San Diego Padres team ranked last in both wOBA against RHP (.283) and K% (26.0), Hendricks should be able to produced solid totals.
Hitting Options
C/1B) Anthony Rizzo, Chicago (FD Price $3500)
Opposing starter Luis Perdomo hasn’t gotten anyone out this season (1-3, 7.09 ERA, 2.10 WHIP), particularly lefties at Petco Park where he is yielding a .481 wOBA.
2B) DJ LeMahieu, Colorado (FD Price $3900)

LeMahieu owns a .330 batting average against LHP (.377 wOBA).
3B) Tim Beckham, Baltimore (FD Price $2500)
Ignore his .211 batting average and instead focus on his .323 batting average and .384 wOBA against LHP. Then add the return from the 60-day disabled list for opposing starter Martin Perez, who sports a 2-3 record with a 9.67 ERA and a subpar career road history and you have a solid opportunity at a low price.
SS) Chris Taylor, Los Angeles (FD Price $3300)
After a slow start, Taylor has been a solid option, particularly against LHP in Dodger Stadium (.360 wOBA). Lefty Andrew Heaney has allowed a .372 wOBA on the road to RHB.
OF) Andrew McCutchen, San Francisco (FD Price $3200)
McCutchen is a .305 hitter at home against LHP (.372 wOBA) and A’s lefty Brett Anderson has allowed RHB a .407 wOBA.
OF) Matt Kemp, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD Price $3400)

With opposing starter Heaney vulnerable to RHB, install Kemp into the lineup, who average a slow June has picked it up again in July (.465 wOBA) and has dominated LHP all season (.409 wOBA).
OF) Enrique Hernandez, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD Price $3000)
Another Dodgers right-hand hitting outfielder to stack against Heaney, Hernandez owns a .390 wOBA at home against LHP.
UTIL) Nolan Arenado, Colorado (FD Price $4600)

We’ve found enough bargains to be able to afford a high-priced, dominating hitter and there is none better than Arenado in Colorado. The Rockies 3B owns a .474 batting average against LHP in Coors Field with a stunning .622 wOBA.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.

Los Angeles Dodgers – It would be easy to choose the Rockies in Coors Field with the rest of the crowd, but we already have three Dodgers in the lineup and if Justin Turner adductor injury (hip) is healed enough to play on Saturday, he’d certainly be a great fourth option.
