Finding Paydirt: Week 6 NFL Touchdown Picks — Win 2 Months of RG Premium & More Prizes!

Touchdowns, while extremely variant, make or break daily fantasy success and swing thousands of dollars every Sunday. Every weekend, players wait anxiously for the players on their roster to find paydirt. The purpose of the contest is to provide an opportunity for the RotoGrinders community to come together to sweat our touchdown picks together. Did I mention there will be prizes?

Happy Friday, Grinders! The weekend is upon us. With MLB playoff baseball, college football, and an NFL slate on deck, we have a busy weekend ahead. Our goal in the friendly confines of this article is to find as many touchdowns as possible. Spoiler, we did not do well in that effort in Week 5. Let’s update the leaderboard and then make some cuts.

The Leaderboard

Russ5Tide made his first appearance in the pool last week and immediately found a touchdown with Amari Cooper. Besides Russ, only yisman found paydirt. Leonard Fournette scored two touchdowns — giving yis a commanding lead in the seasonal contest at 10 touchdowns. Will anyone catch him this week?

Finding Paydirt Rules and Prizes

Very simple. Each week, I will publish Finding Paydirt on Friday morning — highlighting my favorite touchdown pick for the running back, wide receiver, and tight end position. To participate in the contest, you simply need to read the article and leave your three picks in the comments section. So, easy, right? You will take Jonathan Taylor, Davante Adams, and Travis Kelce! Easy!

Not so fast, friends! There is a catch. Each week, we will run the contest for Sunday’s DraftKings Main Slate (1:00 PM and 4:00 PM games). However, to make things a bit more interesting, I will be cutting the top five priced running backs and wide receivers as well as the top three priced tight ends. Everyone else on the slate is in play.

Each week I will post an updated leaderboard with the total touchdowns accumulated that week and for the season.

So, simply put, read the article, check the cut list, make your three picks in the comments, win prizes! What are the prizes? Read below.

The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for each four-week segment:

First Place – 2 months of RotoGrinders NFL Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders T-shirt and hat
Third Place – 2 weeks of SAO Premium

The following prizes will be awarded to players based on their touchdown total for the first 16 weeks of the NFL season:

First Place – One month of RotoGrinders Combo Premium
Second Place – RotoGrinders Swag Pack
Third Place – One month of SAO Premium

Now, let’s get into this week’s cut list.

The Week 6 Cut List

Your selections must be on the DraftKings Main Slate and cannot be any of the players below. These players are the top five at both RB and WR and the top three at TE.

Running Back Wide Receiver Tight End
Christian McCaffrey Cooper Kupp Travis Kelce
Nick Chubb Stefon Diggs Mark Andrews
Jonathan Taylor Justin Jefferson George Kittle
Saquon Barkley Ja’Marr Chase
Aaron Jones Deebo Samuel

Don’t forget, this is the first week of the season with byes. The Titans, Lions, Raiders, and Texans are not playing this weekend. Now that we have cut the top-priced players, let’s make our Week 6 picks.

NFL Week 6 Touchdown Picks

Dalvin Cook – RB – $7,500

This feels like a slam dunk to me. Yes, Dalvin Cook is surrounded by talent the likes of Leonard Fournette, Alvin Kamara, and Joe Mixon, but when have we ever had the opportunity to take him in this contest? With bye weeks, we won’t have this option much longer.

I am going to capitalize immediately without a statistical deep dive into the merits of playing the Vikings’ alpha against the Dolphins. If the Vikings get the ball on or near the goal line, expect Dalvin to see his fair share of opportunities.

At the time of this writing, DraftKings Sportsbook offers up a -145 price for Cook to score against the Dolphins.

Marquise Brown – WR – $7,200

On this slate, per squirrelpatrol’s tag on LineupHQ, only four receivers have a higher fantasy points per game average than Hollywood Brown. As a member of the Cardinals’ lost money club, I can tell you, it hasn’t felt this way.

But, low and behold, the Cardinals’ receiver has plenty of usage and yardage to go along with his three touchdowns this season. You won’t find a better matchup than the Seahawks for offense and Brown is capable of taking it to the house on any play from anywhere with his elite speed. I am going to do it again… I am going to wager American dollars on the Cardinals’ offense. I have a problem.

Caesars Sportsbook offers a +119 price for a Brown touchdown.

David Njoku – TE – $4,300

In a game likely overshadowed in DFS by Rhamondre Stevenson, we find a tight end with plenty of opportunity against a team playing a bit of leaky defense to the tight end position.

The Patriots coughed up 5 touchdowns to the tight end position through the first five weeks of the NFL season. With this group of tight ends, that stat alone is enough to make me interested in David Njoku. Njoku still sees plenty of targets from Jacoby Brissett and should get a handful against New England.

Njoku has one touchdown on the season. I expect that number to climb by one… maybe two. Njoku is +270 to score on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Thanks for checking out this week’s article. Leave your touchdown picks in the comments for a chance at winning monthly and seasonal prizes.
