Week 7 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings
It’s been a tough stretch for fantasy football quarterbacks and managers throughout the NFL last week, as Anthony Richardson is likely getting season-ending surgery, Justin Fields got hurt, and Trevor Lawrence and Jimmy Garoppolo may not be able to play in Week 7. Thanks to all the injuries, there’s a massive drop-off after the top four fantasy football QBs this week. That means there’s a lot to adjust and decipher, making the Week 7 Fantasy Football QB Rankings probably the most important list yet.

Week 7 Quarterback Rankings
1. Jalen Hurts – Ideal matchup against Miami; this has massive ceiling potential.
2.. Josh Allen – He struggled last week but gets a great matchup against a Patriots team that not only is weak defensively but plays incredibly fast.
3.. Lamar Jackson – Detroit can pressure the quarterback, but when you’re as fast as Lamar, that often just leads to more rushing yards.
4. Patrick Mahomes – We’re not worried about the Chargers’ defense, and their offense might be good enough to turn this into a shoot-out.
5. Tua Tagovailoa – He’s been elite all season, start him with confidence each and every matchup, especially one against a pass-funnel Eagles defense.
6. Justin Herbert – This could be the highest-scoring game of the week.
7. Trevor Lawrence – I truly didn’t know who to put here, there’s such a big drop-off after Herbert. If Lawrence plays (he may not), I guess he’s 7th in a tough matchup.
8. Kirk Cousins – Tough matchup and no Jefferson, but we don’t have many great options.
9. Matthew Stafford – Another tough matchup against the elite Steelers pass-rush, but Stafford has been great this year.
10. Jared Goff – Baltimore’s secondary has struggled, and Goff has been solid despite being worse on the road.
11. Brock Purdy – Without McCaffrey, Purdy may have to pass more, and I considered having him as high as 7th this week.
12. Jimmy Garoppolo – If he plays, Jimmy has a great matchup. He definitely could miss this one, though and Hoyer would be much lower on the list.
13. Sam Howell – It’s Howell week! He may be available on waivers, and he’s a nice DFS option too.
14. Geno Smith – The Cardinals’ defense has been surprisingly strong, but there still aren’t many options in Week 7.
15. Derek Carr – He has the weapons, but the offense has been so disorganized. Still a startable option this week.
16. Jordan Love – His hot start to the season has cooled down, but the Denver defense isn’t anything to fear.
17. Baker Mayfield – Hmm… I guess we can play Baker this week. I don’t want to, but we can.
18. Joshua Dobbs – He presents some rushing upside on a really, really weak fantasy football QB slate.
19. Desmond Ridder – He’s been holding his own just enough to keep that starting job. It’s an easy matchup this week.
20. Russell Wilson – We may have no choice but to let Russ cook this week.
21. Tyrod Taylor – He’s never shown much upside as a starter, but the matchup isn’t very tough either.
22. Garner Minshew – We know he can sling and put up points on occasion, but this Browns defense is really strong.
23. Mitch Trubisky – I guess there’s some rushing upside?
24. P.J. Walker – Hey, he won last week! That’s about all I can say.
25. Mac Jones – The Patriots look really bad, Mac looks worse and he’s not getting any help from his receivers.
26. Tyson Bagent #nathan-peterman)Nathan Peterman”:/players/nathan-peterman-36893 – No, definitely no.
Fantasy Football QB Notes
With only 26 teams in action and multiple injuries to contend with, it could be a tough week to find a viable starting Week 7 fantasy football quarterback, especially in SuperFlex leagues. There’s a massive drop-off to after Justin Herbert, then an even bigger one behind Brock Purdy. From a DFS perspective, I’ll be trying to get overweight on the top 6 options in various formats, while it may finally be the week to make a trade for a QB if you’ve been struggling at that position in your league.
These fantasy football quarterback rankings will be back each and every week to make sure you have the best chance at winning your matchups!
