In limited innings, Chad Kuhl has shown that he has difficulty getting out left-handed batters
Chad Kuhl has not been good in his last couple of starts, posting an xFIP of 4.91 over the last 2 weeks. His struggles often occur against lefties, considering Kuhl only strikes out LHBs 12% of the time, leading to a poor xFIP of 6.88. He will be facing a Dodgers team that boasts five hitters with wRC+ totals of 120 or greater against RHP. Corey Seager sits atop the list, holding a wRC+ of 154, followed by Joc Pederson (wRC+ of 142), Justin Turner (wRC+ of 141), Adrian Gonzalez (wRC+ of 123), and Yasmani Grandal (wRC+ of 120). A Dodgers stack would make a lot of sense for any DFS players playing the afternoon slates.
As reported by: FanGraphs Other tagged players: Yasmani Grandal, Chad KuhlWade LeBlanc has a fly ball percentage of 49% over his last couple of outings, facing off against Jake Smolinski and the Athletics today
Wade LeBlanc has an xFIP of 5.82 over his last couple of starts, striking out 14% of batters over that same time period. LeBlanc has struggled more against RHBs this year, possessing an xFIP of 5.38, and giving up a massive fly ball percentage of 50%. Jake Smolinski is this year’s Scott Van Slyke, holding a wRC+ of 202 and posting a ridiculous ISO of 0.306. Southpaws are rarely sending Smolinski back to the dugout without putting the ball in play, considering Jake has a exceptional k rate versus LHP of 6%.

A.J. Griffin faces off against a right-handed heavy Tigers team
A.J. Griffin has been hit harder by left-handed batters this year, giving up a 46% hard contact rate to lefties. The Tigers will only send 3 lefties to the plate today, and two of them are Tyler Collins and Andrew Romine. A.J. Griffin may not have the strike out upside to make him a viable play today in tournaments, but his ability to limit solid contact against right-handed batters should be considered before stacking any Tigers. Still, Griffin is giving up a hard contact percentage of 32% to RHBs, pointing to the fact that perhaps Griffin’s 0.47 HR/9 allowed to RHBs will regress upwards towards his 2.72 HR/9 allowed to LHBs. Of the Tigers right-handed bats, look no farther than Miguel Cabrera. Cabrera has been better this year versus RHP, holding a wRC+ of 157 and a ridiculous ISO of 0.263.
As reported by: FanGraphsTyrell Jenkins and his 6.77 xFIP against LHB will face Bryce Harper today
Bryce Harper will face Tyrell Jenkins today, a pitcher who has a giant xFIP of 6.77 against LHBs. Jenkins is only striking out lefties 10% of the time, a tendency that should be am issue when he faces off against Bryce Harper. Harper is only striking out 15% of the time in at bats against RHPs, holding a wRC+ 122 against righties, with a 0.207 ISO. National’s park is not the most hitter friendly park, but Harper has proven he has the power to hit it out at home, holding a 0.195 ISO at home.

The Mets face off against southpaw, Clayton Richard today
Richard will face a Mets team full of average RHBs today, which may be good news for the Padres. Richard has had an OPS of 0.823 against RHB in the minors, giving up a sizable 0.371 OPS to righties. On the other hand, Richard has limited LHBs to an OPS of 0.676, meaning he might be able to hold the Mets biggest bats in check. DFS players stacking the Mets today should do so knowing that Richard is plenty capable of holding the Mets in check today.

Marcus Stroman continues to dominate RHBs, albeit with a modest 19% strikeout rate
Marcus Stroman has held down the production by RHBs, possessing an impressive xFIP of 3.27. Stroman has a middle of the road k%, but the Astros have a K percentage of 24% this year against RHP. Stroman will face four lefties today in the Astros lineup, but he has been able to hold down LHBs too, holding am xFIP of 3.61.

Jered Weaver continues to pitch to contact, making Mike Napoli an interesting play today
Jered Weaver has a k% of below 14% versus both LHBs and RHBs, making Mike Napoli an interesting option today. Napoli stirkes out 32% of the time versus RHP, but Weaver should help raise the chances Napoli makes contact today. When Napoli is not striking out, he is displaying an ISO versus RHP of 0.262, making him a viable option at 1B today.

Look to Curtis Granderson for a low-owned LHB at the top of the Mets lineup
Jarred Cosart has had a quality year so far, but still possesses a 5.13 xFIP versus left-handed batters. Curtis Granderson’s 110 wRC+ illuminates his success versus RHP, bolstering his value as the second hitter in a Mets lineup that looks to take advantage of Cosart’s drastic splits. Granderson’ should be a less popular option in the outfield today, as many DFS players will dismiss his 0.209 ISO versus RHP as he faces a below average Jarred Cosart.
