Kennard will not play Friday night against the Pelicans, joining Paul George on the inactive list. With Kennard out, Terance Mann and Norman Powell should see big minutes on the wing, and a lack of depth at that spot may lead to the Clippers playing their bigs for closer to the full 48 minutes (Zubac and Hartenstein combined). Amir Coffey is a candidate to enter the rotation, and if he does, it’s likely the Clippers play more without a true five.

CourtIQ shows that with George off the court this season, Norman Powell has averaged 1.16 fantasy points per minute while Reggie Jackson sees a team-high 2% usage rate increased. It’s likely Powell moves into the starting lineup to replace him while Terance Mann is now forced to act as the main 6th man. Note that Luke Kennard is still questionable, so the team could be even more short-handed.
