LeBron James (ankle) ruled out Sunday

LeBron James (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Denver Nuggets. With LeBron out, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis (if available) should both play much larger roles offensively for the Lakers. It is also likely that Carmelo Anthony, who is expected to return tonight, should see increased run off the bench along with the other Laker wings. Both Westbrook and AD can be considered as much better plays with LeBron out.

Jimmy Butler (toe) and Gabe Vincent (toe) listed out Sunday; Caleb Martin (calf) and Dewayne Dedmon (ankle) listed questionable

Jimmy Butler (toe) and Gabe Vincent (toe) have both been listed out for Sunday’s game against the Toronto Raptors, while Caleb Martin (calf) and Dewayne Dedmon (ankle) have been listed questionable. With Butler out, Duncan Robinson will likely rejoin the starting lineup for the Heat and should play increased minutes. Caleb Martin would also be in line to see increased minutes if he were to be available. If not, Haywood Highsmith could rejoin the rotation and soak up some wing minutes. With Vincent out, Oladipo could be in line to see some guard run off the bench.

Lineup Update: Celtics will start Smart, Brown, Tatum, Horford, Theis on Sunday. Daniel Theis will remain in the starting lineup for the Celtics with Robert Williams still out. Theis should be expected to see a few more minutes than when he was coming off the bench but is priced a bit too high to warrant serious consideration in DFS contests at this time.

Bucks will start Holiday, Matthews, Middleton, Giannis, Lopez on Sunday. The Bucks will run with their usual starters on Sunday after most were rested earlier in the week.

Rajon Rondo (ankle) listed questionable Sunday

Rajon Rondo (ankle) has been listed questionable for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. If available, Rondo would play the backup point guard role and likely supplant Brandon Goodwin from the rotation. Rondo would not be expected to see enough minutes to be considered in DFS contests at this time.

Joel Embiid (ankle) listed questionable Sunday

Joel Embiid (ankle) has been listed questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Philadelphia is o the second night of a back to back so Embiid could rest after dealing with an ankle injury for the past couple of weeks or so but hasn’t missed a game since March 21st. This is an important game for playoff seeding for both teams so expect the game to remain competitive and if Embiid does suit up he should be considered as a spend up option.

Braxton Key has signed a two-way contract with Detroit

Braxton Key has signed a two-way contract with Detroit and should play today against the Indiana Pacers. The Pistons will either have 8 or 9 available players as it is uncertain whether Carsen Edwards will be available to join the team after signing a contract earlier today (UPDATE: Edwards is not expected to be available today). Key has been with the team and will likely remain in his role playing a decent chunk of minutes off the bench for Detroit.

Jayson Tatum (knee) available to play Sunday

Jayson Tatum (knee) will be available to play Sunday against the Washington Wizards. Tatum was listed as probable so this comes as no surprise. Tatum should be in line to see his usual workload but this game does come with some blowout risk (Boston is favored by 13 points at the time of writing). With Tatum nursing a knee injury he could be one of the first players taken off the court if the game gets out of hand.

Drew Eubanks and Kris Dunn will sign hardship deals with Trail Blazers for the rest of season

Drew Eubanks and Kris Dunn will sign hardship deals with the Trail Blazers for the rest of the season. Both Dunn and Eubanks had their 10-day contracts expire today so in order to keep the Blazers with enough available players to fill a team both players will be signed to hardship deals. Both Eubanks and Dunn should remain in their current roles with Eubanks starting at center and Dunn seeing backup guard minutes off the bench.

Maxi Kleber (ankle) ruled out Sunday

Maxi Kleber (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. With Kleber out, Davis Bertans and Marquese Chriss should play more backup big man minutes but still don’t project to play a large enough role to be considered in DFS contests at this time.

Jeff Green (personal) listed out Sunday

Jeff Green (personal) has been listed out for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. With Green ruled out Austin Rivers, Davon Reed, and JaMychal Green are all potential candidates to join the starting lineup for the Nuggets. All three should see a bump in minutes and expected production though they remain outside of DFS consideration.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) will play Sunday

Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) will play Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks after being listed as probable on the injury report coming in to today. Giannis should be set to play his normal heavy minutes as the Bucks look to keep pace with the top teams in the eastern conference for seeding purposes. Giannis can be considered as a spend up option on the early slate.

Carsen Edwards to sign a 2-year contract with the Detroit Pistons. It remains to be seen if Edwards will be available for Detroit today but he would be their eighth available player if they elect to not re-sign Braxton Key (who’s 10 day contract expired today). Edwards would likely be forced to see a decent amount of run on a team that is so shorthanded. (UPDATE: Edwards is not expected to be available today, and Key was signed)

Heat will start Lowry, Strus, Butler, Tucker, Adebayo on Saturday. Max Strus remains in the starting five for the Heat and projects as one of the best value plays on tonight’s slate. He should be considered in most formats.

Hawks will start Young, Huerter, Hunter, Luwawu-Cabarrot, Capela on Saturday. The Hawks will remain with TLC in the starting lineup though he is not expected to see full starter run for the Hawks.
